P905 logic board swap in P900? - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, is it possible to swap the mobo in a P900 to a P905 LTE board? I read another post that seemed to suggest you could but I want to check first. I have a P900 that has the battery connector issue, and I expect the Snapdragon 800 on the P905 board to outperform the Exynos by a fair bit.

No problem as they are the same, except your P900 doesn't have anttena and SIM slot. I can swap LTE mainboard to wifi model or vice versa with ease

Dual sim for s4

Hi
I wanted to know if anyone has used dual sim from magic sim? If yes then does it drain the battery?
It's 25 pounds and is very steep.. Anyone has any other dual sim adaptor?

Hello I bought the adapter from magic sim. No it does not drain any battery.
It fits with the original cover, a leather cover, original battery, anker battery.
However the switching times are not consistent 20-60 seconds so I sell it on ebay right now. This adapter is perfect if you don't need to switch so oftern (for example private/buisness) but if you want to switch more often like (1 sim SMS&telephone flat and the other one Internet flat) then it's not the right choice.
Just tell me your questions, I'll answer them
Hey
I wanted the dual sim to shift from 2g to 3g when needed.
So basically a normal shift only when required

Logic board swap of an LDU

So I just got an LDU of the S6 and was wondering if I dump in a new OEM S6 Mobo am I going to have any problems or will I have a fully functioning phone. I know supposedly that the LDU are missing certain things antennae leads and sim access, and imei #. But are these all fixed with a logic board swap or will I have problems? Anyone know
Well I did it since none of you know. I switched the ldu Mobo with an at&t Mobo and a Verizon Mobo, and on both the LEDs and buttons would light up but the screen remained blank. So swapping just the Mobo won't turn an ldu into a usable cellular S6. Don't know if this is going to be possible. These ldus maybe a lost cause as phones.

poor signal problem

Hello guys
Im facing a little problem with my mi note 3.
With me previous device (Google pixel), i got signal (4G or 3G) on every place. With this mi note, when i got inside somewhere, got no signal. Into my house, signal normally is not full on pixel (about 3-4 bars) on mi note, 0 bars, 0 signal.
Only outside I got some signal.
This device is new.
There is anyone facing this same problem? Any solution?

The Mi Note 3 supports a lot fewer signal bands than the Pixel. It's possible this phone simply doesn't support the bands you need for a good signal. Where are you located?

Im from Brazil.
2 months ago I was using a mi5s, and it was working normally as the Google pixel.
I dissassembled it now, and realized that the antenna cable is slightly deanified. I'll try to change it. But for do it, i'll need to find another antenna cable with the same size of the original.

Xiaomi not only makes a confusing number of phone models but sometimes they make varients of the same model that have different band support depending on if the intended market is China, India or Global. The China and Global versions of the Note 3 have different band support. I wouldn't assume that because one model of Xiaomi phone worked perfectly in Brazil other models will automatically work perfectly as well. But I'm actually pretty new to Xiaomi phones so you might know way more about them than I do. Good luck with your repair.

I found the problem. Was a antenna signal cable (hardware). Just replace it with a new one and my device is new again.
Thank you for your attention!

Need some clarifications on wifi support across different SoC

Hi there, since i'm questioning my good faith in Samsung, i need to understand something better than i do now.
So, i have a Galaxy Tab S 8.4, Exynos 5420. This tablet is blazing fast when it comes to wifi.
I also have a Galaxy Tab S5e, Snapdragon 670, which is not.
Now, same distance from the router (FritzBox 7490), same 5ghz network.
Looking online both SoC supports 5ghz ac no problem, but, apart from the speed itself and the lowest strenght in signal for the S5e (this is another topic), why the hell if they both support
MIMO Configuration: 2x2 (2-stream)
Peak QAM: 256 QAM

the S5e only connets with 1x1, as my router shows?
I hope i was clear enough, i need to figure this out so i can decide if i want to return this tablet or not.

Question Cellular/network problems S22 Ultra

From few mounths I have problems with stability cellular in my phone.- Exynos Europe.
Often anybody write text message for me and i don't recive anything or sender recive raport "fault".
Internet speed is lower compare to my fold 2.
Next sometimes with full bars I recive message with trying anybody call to me.
Connectivity in this phone is very terrible from few mounths without any improvement.
I flashed rom via odin
Replace sim card.
Use only 2g mode or VoLte
Nothing help.

I agree with snap in fold, Exynos is problematic but previous I had few samsung phones with exynos high and mid (Note 5, A8, A5, Note 9, N20U) and I have first time similar problems a lot of time with cellular like in S22U.
So after that I supposed hardware defect in my device. Only thing what can I do is sent to service for replace motherboard or happily all device.
Services in my country are problematic and usually first flash soft via odin then sent back but I must try.

Maybe updates?
Now my S22U have girlfirend A13 and overall looks fine but data transfer sometimes is problematic - low load dates compare to my fold 2 and city centre with good cellular strength, same network

Is your phone exynos? Sadly it have weaker Modem than snapdragon fold..
I found many references to antenna problems in the web for this phone. I think that probably it's a well known problem; probably a HW failure in the antenna. I would send it to repair.
I send it to repair yesterday but i dont know if they found the problem or they just send it back and say that the phone is okay

They exynos Modem is weak... Nothing New sadly... Especially in buildings you can see a difference vs other phones with better Modem like the fold with snapdragon.... I have both s22u exynos (my girlfriend is using it) and s22u snapdragon (mine) both with Telekom and especially in large buildings you See the difference. Also the Modem struggles with poor Signal... More drain also. In wlan both phones are the same...

Exactly. Now my S22U use girlfiriend and 2 weeks ago in city centre my fold 2 ( my best device in basic function like GSM connection comapre to previous Exynos devices N5>N9>A5 2017, A8 2018- only Note 20U was good but battery life was too bad, even 2 year note 9 had better results) fast connect to data transfer and S22U have problem to load website - same carrier. Maybe only sometimes see similar issue in her S22U but she can irritating.
I am interesting S23 series in this cause like cellular connection and stability.

The s23 will have snapdragon worldwide so very good Modem for everyone also made by TSMC so less heating more speed and better battery )

The last direct SD/Exy comparison I did myself was with two Note 10, it was frequency dependent. +- 3dB on one and +-3dB on the other. Therefore I started wondering why it's that extreme on _Grizzly_s device.
In addition he says his Note 20 was fine regarding signal quality, the S22u not (I assume both Exynos). If I check dBm values measured in the Weka lab, I see:
N20U TX
GSM
20,4 25,4
LTE
17,2 18,9 17,6
N20U RX
GSM
-98 -105
LTE
-95 -96 -93
S22U TX
GSM
21,6 25,4
LTE
17,2 20,0 18,5
S22U RX
GSM
-100 -107
LTE
-95 -95 -92
Therefore my assumption would be that his S22U has a defect.
