Hi,
I was wondering if anyone else is having issues with headphone jack not working on treble ROMs. I have tried a few so far and all haven't had working headphone jack.

After hearing crackling noises from low impedance headphones,
( see THIS THREAD for more discussion of this problem)
I found a guy on eBay who made me a custom 15 ohm adapter. It works to eliminate the audio problems!
3.5mm TRRS -> 3.5mm TRRS 15 Ohm adapter
I also asked him to make me one for the Plantronics 2.5mm Headset that I have used in my car for the past several years, which gave much buzzing on my new S4. This solved the problem, as does that adapter above, if you just plug in your existing 3.5->2.5 headset adapter.
3.5mm TRRS -> 2.5mm headset 15 Ohm adapter
The nice thing about these two adapters is that they are narrow plugs, meaning that they work easily with cases.
Hope this helps. It has solved the audio crackling problems for me.
Nice. I haven't had this problem yet but I have read about the issue. Glad to see a fix should the problem arise for me.
Apparently, this audio crackling has been solved by the .BMEA update from Samsung on the i9505. Other S4 versions have not yet received this update, and when they do, those of us with the i337 and locked bootloader, won't be updating until we're sure that this update doesn't break the ability to unlock the bootloader. So, we'll probably be needing this solution a little longer for the i337.
Anyone else having issues with the headphone jack working or partially working? Yesterday, I noticed that I had my phone plugged into the 3.5mm aux cable on my car but couldn't hear any sound and today I tried listening to music with some headphones but was only getting sound out of one headphone jack (these were on brand new Bose Sie2i). For the hell of it, I rebooted and it worked fine -- my guess is this is a software issue.
Has anyone else experienced sound issues with the headphone jack on the Nvidia controller? The sound on the tablet is fine through the speakers and integrated headphone jack, but I pick up cracks and drop-out when I plug the headphones into the controller. I wondering if anyone else has has this problem, or is there a way to determine if it's a defective controller or a breakdown in the wireless signal.
Thanks
Hi all. Do I have a defective device?
I noticed my phone isn't recording sound from the inline mic except (very) faintly. These earbuds came with my work phone (Samsung S9) and all the buttons work perfectly. The earbud's mic works perfectly on the S9 and on the 3a thru the Pixel 2's USB C dongle. Just the 3.5mm jack is refusing to record audio.
I thought 'hardware problem' at first but the controls work perfectly and those use the mic circuit... right? So I'm not sure what to think now. Does anyone else have advice?
just tested it. everyone on discord could hear me
I'm a little confused here. Are the headphones/earbuds USB-C? The S9 and the 3a both have headphone jacks, so not sure why a dongle would need to be used in this situation.
Sorry for the confusion.
1. The mic on my earbuds do not work while plugged into the 3.5mm jack (buttons do work)
2. The mic works fine with the USB C dongle
3. The mic also works fine with my S9 (phone they came with)
4. These are Samsung AKG earbuds
Is that more clear?
my wife has a note 9 so i can find her akg earbuds and see if they do the same thing. the earbuds i tested are some ones i got off of fasttech. so maybe it is an issue with the akg ones
just tested the akg ones and they were fine. so it sounds like you have a bad port. i would contact google for a replacement
I read a review where the reviewer said the cable would not fit well in the audio jack and so it would sometimes disconnect.
Anything you owners have noticed?
Fits perfectly on mine,
I've tried many headphones and earphones and they all seem to fit fine.
For some reason specifically the microphone on Samsung AKG earphones doesn't seem to work (Tried a few different ones)
