Hi!
Personally I really like new design of recents. It really designed to for faster multi tasking.. cu the old one just terrible(maybe just for me)
But i have another question, why new recents design is related to the launcher? So what that means? i will need to use OP launcher to have it or Pixels launcher? So if I will want to use a Nova launcher i will be stucked with an old design of recents? Then we will need to use mods to get it?.. Its kind of bull****.. because NEW android software features relies on ****ty launcher.. why it is not integrated in main software? Im just wondering if it will stay like this?..
Because an old recents is integrated into software..
Same goes for pixel phones... You need to use pixel launcher to get new design..
Maybe i dont know something...

Which Launcher are you using on MAX 2?

Hey guys, I am still on EUI Laucher, but i wana change. Have you tryed Google PIXEL Launcher, there is no official support, but you can downloand apk. ANy tips od experinece?
I am using stock launcher I do not see anything bad with it, personally I do not like the app drawer , however before using stock launcher, I used to use next 3d lsuncher, and google now launcher which was really smooth, I did like it.
The stock launcher is fine but I use Go Launcher mainly to eliminate the live button.
I have tried Pixel Launcher and its nice.
But my preferred Launcher is NOVA because it have many useful customisation and drawer tab support.

Google Pixel launcher
I have been using SquareHome forever now. Before that Lightning Launcher. Both very customisable, SquareHome is Windows 10 style with tiles rather than icons.
I like that a lot - Notifications on the tile, live tiles, great overview, easy on resources.
I am on 21S and currently using the Pixel launcher. I'd prefer to use Nova launcher because it can mimic Pixel launcher and has the added advantage of nougat-like long press functions and you can use a Pixel icon pack to get all round icons. But I find that Nova launcher has issues with the multitasking selection cards on this phone - it won't show a card for the homescreen like it does on other launchers, so you can't close the last open app/page. Anyone else found this? It also has weird scaling compared to other launchers - at 100% all the icons are much too small. To get them at what I'd consider a normal size you need to set them at about 125-130%.

In the ROM section.
Trebuchet or CM standard
I got tons of Android devices and I'd go crazy if each and every one was different. So I not only try to use a stock Cynogenmod launcher but also make sure that applications are in the same place across devices.
I'm even using Trebuchet on my Note 3, which uses a hybrid Note 3/Note 7 TouchWiz ROM somebody put together to offer Marshmallow features on the Note 3, which has long since been abandoned by Samsung.
Not only is Trebuchet available on all devices, it also has the minimal amount of "Google" in it.
I value my privacy far more than Google's "added value". So no "Google now", no Google search on the phone, nano GAPPS. Essentially I just want the Play Store, nothing else from Google.
Too bad they are not satisfied with that...
The best is nova launcher, fast and very recomendable

Been using ZenUI launcher and really like it on this phone, great performance, lots of good features and looks good imho.
Anyone know how to delete this Google thing from Home desktop in Pixel Launcher? I'm talking about this: http://screenshot.sh/oe2vMFKzqiQEB
When I click this it's showing for 0,1s App Details...

S8 Custom Home Launcher

What's the likelihood that the Galaxy S8 launcher could be customized like the Pixel launcher (Lawnchair) has been? I would love to see a default launcher that had full icon pack support.

NOVA LAUNCHER no other is needed, look in play store.

try today dont delay. its beyond customizing, its a fashion trend now.

I think what the overzealous person was saying was that instead of attempting to make the S8 stock launcher "like" pixel launcher, you can just use Nova Launcher. I use Nova Launcher and I have to agree, without all the rhetoric, that it's very customizable and can probably look and feel like the pixel launcher. My suggestion is take a look at Nova Launcher and see if it fits what you want.

I am probably one of the few that like Touchwiz stock Samsung launcher. I just wanted to know if it were a possibility to extract Samsung's apk and add icon pack support across the board, instead of the way it is using the Samsung Theme Store, which only covers icons for Samsung's apps. Like Lawnchair, the Pixel launcher exactly, with extras thrown in. I've used Nova for years, just leaning more toward stock here with icon support.

I did a basic google search for Samsung Touchwiz s8 launcher and found this as my first link:
http://www.naldotech.com/install-samsung-galaxy-s8-touchwiz-launcher-apk-samsung-phones/
This is what I have. I have a S8+ with this launcher by default. Again, what id like to see is this launcher apk edited to bring along full icon pack support.

Just like this, except instead of being modeled after Pixel or Google launcher, it being based or modeled after Touchwiz (Samsung Experience Launcher)

Modded poco launcher?

Good day/Night folks,
recently got curious if anyone knows or was working on a modded poco launcher which would have the system integration for gestures but also have the good added features from other better launchers?

Question How to remove google search bar from home screen + add % in QS?

Do you guys manage somehow to remove search bar from the home screen with Pixel launcher and add % display in QS? I checked the mods in pixel 6 pro thread, but don't know if they will work on A13/7 pro.

Hello. I got the phone today. And that's the first thing that bothered me. But as far as I could find the information, it is not possible to remove it.

Not possibe on stock launcher
Maybe with aosp mods ( you will need lsposed)
I just use Nova launcher 8.0.3 beta with Nova Google companion. It's a heck of a lot easier and it lets you hide the notification bar as well.
I use LawnChair as Launcher. It is imho nicer then the stock one and has more features and you can remove the search bar from home screen
I wish they would allow you to do this instead of a third party launcher - the animations in third party launchers are not great compared to stock.

Not sure what you mean by the "animations" but I use Nova Prime and 3 button navigation, and everything works great. I used gesture navigation for awhile but got tired of it a couple of years ago and went back to button navigation and never looked back.

When you swipe away an app it animates the app going back into the icon in a fluid way. Third party launchers can't do this.
Use Pixel Launcher Mods to hide apps, enable icon packs, and change out the at a glance or searchbar widget. It requires Magisk.
In order to blank either of the widgets you need an empty widget, I prefer The Empty Widget on the Play Store since it has zero permissions and nothing superfluous. You can then use the hide apps function to hide the icon.
In order to modify the QS you will need AOSP Mods which requires Magisk and LSPosed. The Xposed version is the minimum, but if you download the Full version it will come with overlay themes to allow you to remove the navbar, change fonts, theme the QS, and change the system icons style.

Does this method to hide the searchbar widget move the icon drawer down to fill the gap?
Not seen anything on the stock launcher that makes it worth putting up with the limitations. Even when mods are used, it's still clunky and limited (for example, you can't change icons for individual apps).
Nova for me, far better and it does everything the stock launcher does and more. I've always found some people being desperate to stick with stock a bit strange.

With the Pixel Launcher mod you can change icons for individual apps while using the stock Pixel Launcher.
I've used Nova, Lawnchair and Hyperion for years and years but am currently using the stock Pixel Launcher with the Pixel Launcher mod to change icons and a Substratum theme to get rid of the gesture pill. Not desperate, just a personal preference. I guess I would fall into the strange category
Wich substratum theme are you using?
Can you had some screenshots?
Thx

No, you are not removing it but rather replacing it with another widget which is just going to be a blank one.

It is a Substratum theme (FSIM-Version1.apk) for this Magisk mod. You can find it via the Telegram link in that Github repo.
Ahh ok...but needs root

I took prefer to do this. Pixel Launcher Mod has something that Lawnchair used to have but no longer does if I'm not mistaken, but the ability to apply multiple icon packs at once pretty much keeps all your icons themed at(I normally have 3-4 applied) all times.
Ok, I checked out the pixel mod again. It offers a lot but still falls well short of making the Pixel launcher an everyday use for me.
For example, you can't get rid of both the top and bottom bars at the same time (not the mods fault, I know). And my main issue with it is that you can't change the grid size so you're stuck with 4 columns and 5 rows which simply isn't enough for me.
So whilst the animations and smoothness are nice, they're not nice enough for me to put up with the stupid limitations Google have put in place.

For what it's worth, the stock Pixel Launcher goes up to 5 x 5.
