This app was installed all of a sudden after I rebooted my phone. It shows an update available on the Play store. Is it possible to remove it? A lot of people were complaining about it on the reviews.
Package Disabler in play store.

Business Volte
It keeps prompting for an update, but unlike the other Verizon bloatware it's not showing up at all in my app list. Verizon developers must be getting creative. Any ideas for disabling this thing?

Get package disabler pro from play store and disable business Volte.
Thank you very much, @anewday. I instead downloaded the free "Disable Bloatware - Hide Apps" from InkWired, and I disabled Business VoLTE, and One Talk no longer prompted to be updated. I had never heard of "Business VoLTE" before.
How they are able to hide certain apps from appearing in the Application Manager entirely? This is really against the spirit of *nix.
Just update it then disable it.
No need to install any additional packages to disable One Talk. When you go into the application manager, click on more, click on "Show system apps". Scroll down in the list and you will see the One Talk application listed and you can disable it from there.
I got rid of it because I don't use it and it kept crashing.
Hi, I have tried installing 2 sim card on mate 9 and It works nicely for making call and receiving calls.
now I am trying to install 2 whatsapp account on the phone and set it up on the setting menu and going into app twin setting.
I read somewhere that app twin on the European version of the phone can facilitate 2 whatsaapp account as well as facebook.
But on this Chinese hand set, when I go to app twin setting, I can only find the QQ and Wechat as the list of app enabled for using dual account.
anybody can help how I can set up whattsapp on the app twin menu so I can use 2 whatsapp account?
Thanks in advanced, I appreciate if anybody can shed light on this problem
Try to change the list of apps that work on 2 versions by deleting some unused apps and see If you can add some new ones like whatsapp ?

Twin app is not compatible with 3rd party launcher at the moment. I experienced the same thing with Nova.
I also noticed intermittent late notification on whatsapp when twin app is activated. Did you?

Yes it delayed notifications. But to be fair I tried other 3rd party dual app like parallel space and multi account, all has delays for WhatsApp. Wechat however has not issues with 3rd party dual app

yea! slight delay but this was not a big issue for me. Rather have slightly delayed messages than no app at all when a 3rd party launcher is on!

Hey guys, I'm bumping this old thread because, guess what, I figured out how to add any arbitrary app to the App Twin feature.
Tutorial will be posted on the XDA Portal, if not tomorrow then the day after.

On my previous two phones - Samsung and Xiaomi, when I was getting a call from phone number which was not on my contact list, my phone would search internet and pull any info it finds, it would show company name for example. On P30, I cannot find such option in settings. Doesn`t it have such option?

Nope, if you want to get that info, you should download and use Truecaller

You can give it a try using the Google Phone app, from here - link for xda thread is https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/app-google-phone-v14-0-175904292-bubble-t3708218 - latest available is the one i've linked first.
Give it a try and see if it's working :highfive:

Its a shame Huawei doesn`t include such option by default or won`t let to install other dialler officially.
I don`t want to use 3rd party apps - too invasive.

Yeah, i get you. Pixels phones, Samsung, Nokia and Xiaomi are the only devices (as per my knowledge) who include those option. Rest of them have no such options....

Yeah my last two phones had it - S8 and A2 Lite.
So, i have a whatsapp clonned app in my Oppo Reno 4, Color OS 11.1, Android 11. It's cloned using the builtin Color OS feature.
But after the new whatsapp required unlock using biometric fingerprint, the cloned app failed/stuck on the "Unlock link a device" step when I try to connect to whastapp web. There is no error too. The real app, not the cloned one, works without problem.
Is there anyone who experience the same ?

I happend to find a work around. So, i turn off the fingerprint, then login to desktop WA app. Your WA mobile app will ask for a pin instead of fingerprint. The caveat is, you should use a desktop WA app, and don't logout from it.
After that you can reenable your mobile fingerprint

Hi all,
I'm new to Google phones, I got my Pixel 7 Pro on release day after having a Huawei Mate 20 Pro for the last 4/5 Years. Is there anyway to have individual Apps locked that require you to give your fingerprint to open them without the use of a 3rd Party App from the Play Store?
I used to be able to do this on my Huawei in the settings and lock any apps individually but I can't seem to find that option on my Pixel 7 Pro. I've seen the "Pin Required" option on Whatsapp but even that doesn't work great as you can see everything when the app is opened behind the pin screen.
Thanks for reading.

You'll find, as I have, that a lot of that creature comfort stuff are not in pure android. Unless I'm wrong, you'll need an app to do it for you.
Correct. As @xgerryx said, there are apps in the Play Store to make that feature available, although I don't use them so I don't keep up with what's best, or what works.
Thanks for the replies. I was hoping it could be done within the settings of the phone without the need for another 3rd party app being installed. Shame small things like this aren't available within stock Android on Google phones yet this was available years ago on other Android handsets.
Issue with app lock applications from the Playstore on non-rooted devices, it's easy to bypass for anyone with an iota of Android knowledge. You really need one baked into the OS as they're far more difficult to overcome.
I the same for me !!!! coming from oneplus with smart launcher pro....incredible thing any native app locker one by one in android stock !!!!
where can i ask this point with google team ?
hope for next version ?

How can I contribute to Android? You can report bugs, write apps for Android, or contribute source code to the Android Open Source Project.
There are limits to the kinds of code contributions we accept. For instance, someone might want to contribute an alternative application API, such as a full C++-based environment. We would decline that contribution, because Android encourages applications to be run in the ART runtime. Similarly, we won't accept contributions such as GPL or LGPL libraries that are incompatible with our licensing goals.

Hey!
I was dissapointed, too, after switching from s20 ultra and mi11 ultra about this missing feature.
My workaround:
(0. Microsoft launcher to hide needed apps)
1. Tasker lock screen function (you can define apps that require lock), (I am tasker heavy user) so i don't need any more extra apps
2. Terminal-systemizer magisk module to help tasker not being killed (can be killed anyway, but enough for my needs)
3. Profit.
