However, when i put my phone in download mode to flash stock rom or root file by odin, odin 3.10.6 can't connect with my phone. In screen of download mode, i see " Secure dowload: Enable" in blue. Yeah i got it flashed. Turned out that i used an old odin also you have to get a firmware which has the same csc or one that it compatible with your device. Info on samsung csc can be found on the net, look for multi csc codes if you wanna change to software from another carrier.
Sent from my VS980 4G using XDA Free mobile app
Before you start flashing always disable reactivation lock. Othervise flashing may fail.
ODIN won't detect Galaxy S5 G906K [KT]
Hello All,
I've been having the same issues as people in this thread but have been unable to come up with a solution so far. I've tried to the whole battery trick which sometimes works with other Samsung devices but have been unable to solve this problem. It seems that ODIN just won't detect the 906K while it is on the recovery mode window. However if the phone is booted normally ODIN sees its fine.

Can anyone provide some assistance?
Thanks in advance..
ODIN Version: Odin3_v3.10.7
Device Model: Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G906K [kt]
Resolved.

So after an entire day of investigation and logging I've figured out that this was an issue related to a carrier update by Olleh (KT). For anyone who runs into the same problem on the SM-G906K I recommend KingRoot as a means of getting started for root. CWM/TWRP are also methods that I tested with success.
I hope this helps someone who has the same problem down the road.
kingroot not working!

my phone is a chinses version ... which doesnt have the play store
Hello
Do you have your bootloader blocked, the new version of firmware enabled this option, you need to go to development options and enable the option of OEM, and that's it, you can flash whatever you want
I rooted my my few weeks ago with snapdragon root, and yesterday I realized that some apps kept crashing, so I rebooted my phone, but it stucks at Tmobile logo. So I opened up smart switch on my pc, tries to restore my phone, but it said that : SM-G930T does not support initializing. It's confusing since I restore using smart switch before, but I downloaded stock firmware from xda forum, and flashed with odin. And it shows sw rev check fail device 4, binary 3. And it boots in to recovery mode everytime I forced to restart. btw, it says dm-verity verification failed. What can I do to fix this? Thanks for any suggesions.

I had the exact same problem with my phone which is the same model as yours, and after almost 2 days of surfing in the internet like crazy and trying all the diferent programs I found the solution.
1. first go to this video youtube,com/watch?v=RSZiVxJyFb4 (I cant post links so I will substitute the dot in "DOT COM" by a comma)
2.Download the firmware and Samsung drivers in the link in the video which is pangu.in/samsung_firmware.html skip thru the pages until you find your model(this link will download the drivers and a notepad with the link to the actual firmware download page which is sammobile,com/firmwares/
3. type the model number in the search bar (SM-G930T) and select the first one in the list and download it(note: you will need to create an account in this page in order to download the firmware but its only put your email and choose a password so it shouldn't be a problem. extract the firmware after downloaded.
4.Download the version of odin that is linked in the video link: pangu.in/odin_tool.html . Scroll down a lil bit and download the one that says "ODIN 3.11 (GALAXY S7)"HAS TO BE THIS ONE other versions wont work. extract it.
5.After you have downloaded everything(make sure you installed the drivers if you haven't done before) proceed to run ODIN with your phone unplugged from your pc and turned off
6.Load the AP file from the extracted firmware file into the AP tab you will see in ODIN(do all this with your phone UNPLUGED from the PC.
7.Now put your phone(which should be off and disconnected from the PC) into download mode[hold vol down+home+pwr button
then you will be aske to press button up to continue, do so(you probably know how to do this but I said in case other people don't)
8.connect your phone onto your pc and you should see your device show up in odin, now click start and you should be good to go
I hope it works for you since I know how frustrating it is to have such and expensive phone bricked.

Hey guys, I'm not particularly advanced in any sort of way with rooting devices, and I've followed all of the appropriate steps to achieve a rooted device but I'm sort of stuck.
I'm using Odin. I've tried Odin 10, 11.1, and 12.3. I turned Developer Mode on on the phone, activated USB Debugging and OEM Unlocking. I downloaded Odin and the herolte tar md5 file, added the file to the AP section in odin, checked the auto reboot and F. reset time boxes, connected my device and hit "Start." Two things happen: It either runs through the steps and end up with a red "FAIL", or it just gets stuck at Setup connection. I have tried 3 different versions of Odin, and yes, my phone OS is fully updated. So what gives? Can anyone help? I'd really appreciate it. Been trying to root my phone for hours now and no luck. I've tried to use a bunch of other help guides but Im either not advanced enough or I've had no luck. Thank you!

Hi mate
The odin version is not working yet for Nougat , you have to use SuperSU v2.79 SR3 zip ( flash with TWRP) Instructions in the same thread
i've tried all the tutorials. i've used different files. pit files and can't seem to find what works i have sm-g955fd its a duo sim. with a united arab emerates csc please help
I do not know what you mean
I do not know what you mean
I mean so I'm trying to root my phone went through the guides as keep getting Odin pit file fails and or it stops loading in the middle of oden
Did you first enable OEM UNLOCK, and USB Debugging? Also I don't believe pit file is needed for what you are trying to do, why are u using .pit? Also are you using the stock USB-C cable that came with the phone? Are you flashing in download mode? If all those are correct try a different computer or laptop. Sometimes USB can be fussy and device won't be detected and linked to USB drivers correctly, this happened to me on one of our computers. Any info you can give would greatly help.
Hello everyone,
so my phone is soft-bricked after failure attempt to flash combination files in order to fix the csc.
I follow this thread, but the problem actually has nothing with that.
I used the latest patched odin V3.13.1, with a combination file named COMBINATION_FAC_FA80_G965USQU3ARG2.tar, and the proccess failed at flashing the system, and now i'm stuck; unable to flash other firmwares.
Before that, the phone was working perfectly after I've flashed a G965U1 firmware on it, in order to get rid of the bloatware of the original branded G965U (I don't live in the US).
Also, it successfully OTA updated to the latest G965U1UEU3ARK5 Firmware just a few days ago.
Things that I've tried so far with no success:
*Used different usb ports, both usb 2 and usb 3; and different cables
*Using both an Intel-based PC, and an AMD-based. (I know it may sound unrelated, but thats actually what prevented me from flashing the G965U1 fmwr the first time I tried, because i was using and AMD PC)
*Reinstalling Drives, installing latest kies, installing latest samsung smart switch
*using older versions of Odin
*tried to install the original Sprint firmware (v2) G965USQS2ARF4 through odin
*tried to install the G965U1UEU3ARK5 firmware through odin
The phone is stuck in download mode. sometimes if I disconnect and reconnect it, I get an unrecognized usb device message. so I need to reboot the phone again to download mode so the pc will recognize it.
and the result is always a failure:
either due to rev check, with the original OEM firmware
during the installation at 'vendor'/'system' step, due to auth error, when trying the G965USQU3ARG2 Combination file or the G965U1UEU3ARK5 files with patched odin
or even before that step with older versions of odin.
I'm out of ideas... I hope someone here has the knowledge to help in some way, Please...

OK so that's how it looked like:

after writing this post I realized that I haven't tried flashing an OEM rev3 firmware
so I downloaded one after finding out which one is the right file
and I tried flashing it on a completly other pc than the 2 I've already tried it on
and it worked:victory:
here's the recovery after the successful flash:
