Help needed: S8+ stuck on AQJ5 and not receiving OTAs since relocation - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Questions & Answers

Hi folks.
I have a carrier unlocked S8+ purchased in Singapore. I received a few OTAs while I was there, but have since relocated to the US and I haven't received any OTAs since AQJ5, which was the October security patch. Manual check and the system says I have the latest, which I obviously don't, and even using Smart Switch doesn't trigger an update. I recently did a factory reset with my AT&T US sim installed hoping it might trigger an update, and tried without a sim too. Neither worked.
Complicating factor is I don't have access to a Windows machine to use Odin, I only have a Mac. I tried looking into Jodin3, but so far as I can tell that program is no longer operational.
I need help with any suggestions on how I can trigger an update, OR for someone to share an appropriate update.zip(s) which I can load to my phone from the SD Card to get me up to Oreo from AQJ5...
Model number: SM-G955FD (Exynos)
Carrier unlocked
Current software version: g955fxxu1aqj5/g955foxm1aqj5/g955fxxu1aqj5
Any suggestions from you all would be appreciated. I've spent weeks googling for ideas.
Thanks

Problem updating device software automatically in samsung galaxy s5

Hi XDEVS,
I am using Samsung galaxy S5 (SM-G900F), Android 5.0. Since last few months my OS software doesnt find its new update automatically where I kept "Check update automatically & Download automatic via wifi" turned on (I am attaching a screenshot). But when I reset my device & then I check for new update, it shows me I have new updates available. So, I need to reset my device every time to check for latest update & it is so much annoying to set up my device as my way again & again. One of my friends using another Galaxy S5 & yesterday he informed me that his device been updated in "MARSHMALLOW" 6.0 and mine is showing nothing.
If anybody there who have solutions of my problem, please do help me out and your every help is highly appreciable.
Thanks in advance.
** If you need information about my device and recently running software version, I am attaching some screenshots of them.

S8+ SM-G995F carrier locked, how to unlock?

Hello guys!
I have a carrier locked Samsung Galaxy S8+ it's locked to México's Telcel (TCE) and it's locked since I got it at launch date with a 2 year plan which has already expired. I went to the carrier and asked for an unlock and they told me they couldn't do it since the codes they had didn't work. They sent it to Samsung and asked for an unlock and surprisingly IT DIDN'T WORK! So they just returned me the freaking phone with a carrier lock which not even they (presumably) can't remove.
I was wondering if there's a way to unlock it with rooting or something. I was able to do that on an old Galaxy S4 back in the day but now I just don't see any information.
So, here's the phone's information:

This is the Phone's Baseband, Firmware and all that stuff:
This is what happens whenever I insert another carrier sim card:
I really want to unlock it so that I can give the phone to my dad since he needs an update and this phone seems like a good upgrade for him. The problem is that he is using another carrier and I can't give him the phone if I don't unlock it.
Can I unlock it by rooting it and flashing an unlocked firmware or something? Any other ideas?
Thanks a lot for your help!

I know there are several tools available which claim to ftp unlock different devices ... but ...
See official frp information of Samsung:

It's a security feature and there is a reason for it to be enabled.

Need help removing the Custom ROM FRP (SM-G930W8)

I need help removing the custom ROM FRP lock in my S7 but i don't know the CSC or what carrier it was originally form as i got it used, anyone who can help would be in my debt. i should note that the Smart Switch method doesn't work as it wont connect properly via USB.
I am open to any and all solutions and/or alternatives.
would it be easier to just send it in or buy a octoplus stick?
EDIT: I don't have anything important on it so I'm fine if i have to reformat or wipe the PIT
EDIT2: I think it may have been Bell but I'm not 100% sure

I'm not sure what do you mean, you mean:
You have a custom ROM that has a FRP Lock? if so, then you probably have TWRP, which makes it super easy to solve!
You have a stock ROM, but you tried to play with OS probes and ended up with an error regards uncertified modifications? Then it's also easy to solve, check the internet, there are guaranteed ways of passing FRP even on Binary 8 Firmware.
The 2nd methods works if you can actually boot into system*
You may check the recovery and the logs to find what Firmware is on your phone, and which CSC/PDA it has, and yes, the stock recovery has the ability to show you them.

Question Help Flashing back to U1 firmware

sorry for the long post but this is my first android. I bought it unlocked from Samsung it’s the f711u1 model. I stupidly flashed it with AT&T firmware and now I have tons of bloatware. I’m trying to flash again to remove it but it’s not letting me, I found out I need the u1 version with the bootloader 2 but I have no idea where to find it I’ve tried googling current firmware with v2 bootloader but can’t find anything. If someone could be so kind to link it in the thread or point me in the right direction I’d really appreciate it.
Even unlocked Samsung's have lots of bloatware.
The easy way to kill it is to use a Package Disabler or adb edits.
Use this setting to globally block ads, lol it's a start:

Have you tried uninstalling the apps? I'm not sure if flashing the firmware yourself works the same as the customization that happens when you add a carrier SIM, but the U1 models allow deleting apps that a carrier version typically blocks. If not, I would definitely recommend trying to get back a U1 firmware over settling for more trash to remove the current trash.
