Hello, this is my first post here haha
I've been thinking about rooting my OnePlus 3T and then i remembered how i did it with the Galaxy Y.
I remember rooting my Samsung Galaxy Y with an update package. Is there anything like that available for the OnePlus 3T?
It would be much easier to just do an update than flashing a custom recovery like TWRP.
Thanks in advance
Edit: I know how to root my phone but i'm looking for an easier method.

Hello.
I've searched a ton of pages and forums for download links to Android 4.4 and 5.0 firmware for the Samsung Galaxy S7 (SM-G930W8 Exynos), but can't seem to find them.
I'm trying to find compatible BL, AP, CP and CSC files to inject into Odin. I understand that these versions are pretty old and lack features from newer Android versions.
Hoping somebody may know where I can find them.
Thanks.

Hi
My galaxy s5 6.01 does freeze from time to time. I recognized that processes like surfaceflinger and zygote are using 100% CPU load. Is there a way to fix this?
I begging you not to suggest to do a factory reset. If this is the only way, Android Smartphones are completely useless for me.
Somehow the phone freezes terrible when it checks for playstore updates or when it does updates. But also when nothing happen.playstore updates takes time forever.
The device is rooted with stock rom.

What is the procedure for switching over? I currently have SUPERLIGHT Rom on 4.4.2 but some guides said I should be on stock firmware.
Does that mean I should be on I535VRUDNE1 4.4.2 (2014 June)?

You don't need to be in the stock Firmware. Your best bet to switch over is to ask for some member guidance within the following General Q&A Magisk thread.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3432382
I never switched before and I can only provide a best guess but, if I did want to switch, that would be the place I would ask.
Good Luck!

Well I think it won't work because the Verizon Galaxy S3 has a locked bootloader.
After hours of reading and testing, it seems that because we only have Safestrap (which for some reason errors/fails when I flash Magisk in Safestrap recovery) we can't successfully flash Magisk.
I think we need real TWRP for it to work.
*edit: Scratch that, it really won't work because Magisk requires Android 5.0 and above.... Is that possible on the Galaxy S3?
Confirm this on the Magisk thread before taking my word for it...
I believe that Starting from Magisk v16.7, it began to require only a min of Android 4.1 (JellyBean).

Hi everyone i'm just wondering Is there any way to get TWRP on my s7 edge (G935A) Ive looked around on youtube and stuff ive seen some stuff on the S7 edge pages but i dont really see any clarification what models they're for.
My device is currently Rooted.
odin mode says that my secureboot is enabled and secure download are enabled as well
are the US Snapdragon models just a lost cause when it comes to rooting?
