Does anyone flash the project treble "P" successfully? - Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S Questions & Answers

Hey, everyone, I am using Pixel Experience ROM now, it is very smoothly and has perfect battery life..
But I wanna to try android P which is project treble but I never be success...
Does anyone have better idea about that?
My device always stays at fastboot screen.
Source address : https://forum.xda-developers.com/pr...ment/rom-android-p-developer-preview-t3816659

I tryied 2/3 times without luck my phone stuck at logo miui

Wait for new custom vendor image or lineage OS support. Then we´ll be able to install treble P.

Could you please show me the download and instruction for Pixel Experience ROM for mi mix 2s. Thanks.

You find it at the follow link:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/pr...e-development/8-1-0-pixel-experience-t3796011
Remember that probably to use PlayStore you need to register your device with his I'd to Google site, use the app below to obtain it.
I registered my ID, then rebooted device, made factory r set with twrp and reboot, then setup all.
Otherwise more simply you can use immediately the app and register your device at: https://www.google.com/android/uncertified/
Then flash system image of Pixel Experience, boot and setup normally, there's also a guide:

Try in this way, register the device after installed and made the first setup of the ROM, then if you will receive that message reboot and made a factory reset, now reboot and setup, now should work, worked for me.

Every time I factory reset the rom, the Googile service framework android ID change so I have to register again. Am I doing it correctly or after I register the phone I just simply reboot until it works?

Try simply to registry and reboot some times, strange that your device ID change every time, that will be the same if you don't flash magisk.
Just flashed for the second time and had salme issue, solved only Witch facrory reset because first boot don't recognize my account Gmail.

When I install another rom problem begins to restart stuck

I think that's a problem for the solution of the fire makes it
I order the same day repair lab
Flash a factory image. If the restarts stop then you know it's a problem with the ROM/kernel. Not all phones are identical, what may work for some doesn't always work for others. Your phone simply may not like some custom kernels, simple as that. If the ones you are flashing are undervolted by default that could be the problem, as some phones respond better to undervolting than others.

Don't use toolkits. Flash the system image with fastboot. If the problem is still there, it's your phone. If the problem disappears, it's the ROM/kernel. Again, use fastboot and not a toolkit.

[GUIDE][TUTORIAL] How to restore the Alcatel OneTouch Pop Astro via Factory Image

NOTICE: I found out that this method doesn't work with the refurbished or the T-Mobile warranty exchange version. If you do Step 6, it would show the start up screen after 5 seconds being on the bootloader. If anyone has a fix for it, let me know!
Before you start, if you have access to the phone, be sure to:
• Remove your Google account
• Take off your lock screen password/PIN/pattern
• Uncheck “Protect Your Phone” from Settings > Security
• Deactivate all device administrators from Settings > Security (Optional; Just to be safe)
The reason you want to do this before you restore is that the factory image procedure wipes all data from your phone and it may trigger a “Verify Your Device” screen after flashing. You may have an error accessing your phone because the password of your Google account is incorrect, even though it is/isn’t correct. It’s very hard to recover from it because the “Verify Your Device” module isn’t really complete when it was implemented on this phone and it’s an Android 4.4.x device. There shouldn’t be a reason why it should be there since this module should exists on Android 5.1+. If you don’t have access to the phone to change/disable these settings, I recommend not proceeding if you want a bricked phone due that module error. If you still want to do it and you know FOR SURE that you have no password on lock screen and/or a Google account, then sure, by all means.
If you still don’t understand what I wrote above, read this forum or research on Android Device Protection.
UPDATE: PaKii94 found a way to bypass Android Device Protection. Be sure to read posts 21 & 23 for more information and thank him for that!

Download the factory image files before you start: Factory Image Files
Optional. The USB drivers should be in the factory image files: USB Drivers
Instructions:
1. Be sure your phone is completely powered off. You will know when it’s completely shut down when your phone vibrates after it shuts down.
2. Extract the files and then open \tool\EngineeringSoftwareDownload_S.exe. Also, the USB drivers are also in the tool directory.
3. The application should now be opened, but it asks for the user authentication. Here’s the login:
Username: SU_IN.Panasonic
Password: KoD8naL2
Server: Choose any
Click to collapse
4. After you log in, you should see a flashing dialog. Now let’s prepare to flash!
5. Hold the volume up and down keys while plugging in the USB port. You should see that your phone is installing drivers. If you see a dialog asking for the destination of the drivers, copy the destination and paste it. (Make sure you see the notification LED lights and not see the charging screen/boot screen. If you do see it, take off the battery and do Step 6 again.)
6. After installation is complete, click the row where the COM port is new and click ‘Upgrade’.
7. It should show up a COM port and it will do its flashing. (If you have an error message, take off the battery and repeat Step 6.)
8. After flashing is finished, take off the USB from the phone and it should restart automatically. If a restart doesn’t take effect, just turn on the phone.
9. Here you go, your phone is restored! Your stress is gone! Be sure to put a Thanks afterwards!

If it was, try repeating Step 6 and try every USB port until it becomes successful. It may take a couple of times for it to flash.

Hi everyone!
Great post!
I was looking for custom ROMs for Astro Pop but I cant find anything.
This phone has a good hardware but the stock android version maybe isnt the best for it.
Does anyone know if it's possible to flash it a CM or other compatible room?
Thanks for all.
Bye.
The Username is reading as incorrect. Is there an updated one that can be used? Has anyone figured out another way to restore this device from a soft brick state?

TWRP Decryption password after 2/2018 update

I'm on a Pixel 2 and I sideloaded the February 2018 security update. I tried to install Magisk again by using "fastboot boot twrp-image.img". I've tried all the versions of TWRP available on their site (twrp.me)
I get into TWRP and enter in my pin to decrypt the phone, which I've always used. TWRP says incorrect password. This is the first time I've ever gotten this.
Anybody else having the same issue, or tips to fix? Thanks!
Yes, it's been mentioned a few times. Simply remove the password lock from your phone before booting into recovery, then add your password back after you're done flashing.

[GUIDE] How to Flash the Pixel Experience ROM on Nokia 7 Plus & Nokia 7

Hey guys i know the Pixel Experience rom has been released for a long time, more information about this Pixel Experience rom https://forum.xda-developers.com/project-treble/trebleenabled-device-development/8-1-0-pixel-experience-t3796011
but unfortunately we could not boot on nokia devices after we flashed this rom
Congratulations that bootloop problem has been solved right now, we are not tired to flash roms
DOWNLOAD TWRP https://drive.google.com/open?id=1-e7zNrXp_mi468h-Zu1X5gbwQtgE17I6
follow these steps
1: unlock your bootloader
thank for @hikari_calyx
2: erase data/factory reset
3: connect your computer with adb and flash any roms based on project preble ( AOSP or RR )(why this step ? my friend told me that this twrp has a bug which can't boot recovery on official firmware)
Code:
fastboot flash system system.img
4: flash this TWRP supported project treble with
Code:
fastboot flash boot_a TWRP.img
Code:
fastboot flash boot_b TWRP.img
5: boot into the twrp
6: extract rom image from PE zip and download Magisk-v16.6.zip, after that move them to Internal Storage
7: format data and flash the Pixel Experience image, choose "System image" Notice: Don't do a reboot before flash Magisk.zip
8: flash the magisk.zip
9: wipe all data and reboot. Done !
Notice: you may see Your Device Is Uncertified when you intend to login Google on this device
Just Do This
Download and install Device ID.apk
copy your Google Service Framework ID
fill your GSF ID on this web and Clink on REGISTER
reboot some times you will be able to use google apps
btw all project treble roms do not include Adaptive brightness and Ambient display
fix them at here https://forum.xda-developers.com/project-treble/trebleenabled-device-development/overlay-enable-night-light-adaptive-t3741965
I'm on this rom for three days and every things go fine unless fingerprint control bug (that means you can control your phone easily with fingerprint)
thanks for viewing, sorry for my english is poor but I've been improving it, I wrote this GUIDE without translate tool
thanks for every member which develop the project treble rom and TWRP and something else

Thank you for your development for the Nokia 7 plus. Really appreciated.
Well, I installed the system image, but now my SIM is not recognized.
I will go through setup and see if the SIM works afterwards?
EDIT: No IMEI on SIM slot 1, there is an IMEI on slot 2 but this slot also does not work.
And of course, I did not do a backup of my working system. (You'd think I would have learned by now, but NO )

I got my entire system back up and running using the July patched boot image flashed into boot a and b and then sideloaded rollback zip etc, etc....
In general I have found that when I get my self into these situations, if I actually have a back up it ends up failing anyway.
It's always more fun walking the tightrope.
Anyway, both SIM slots are fine on stock ROM rooted with magisk, xposed etc.
I won't be flashing any treble images until I hear more success stories in that respect, I feel that our twrp still has some kinks that need to be ironed out.

12.0.3 is not the latest V12.0.4.0.QJKMIXM is the latest android 10. And now V12.2.1.0.RJKMIXM android 11
try to update.
Otherwise you can flash it directly with miflash but you have to unlock the bootloadeer.
the problem is that I can not install it, both because manually from the phone it says that it cannot verify the rom I downloaded via zip, and through my flash, because to unlock it the bootload requires 160 hours. Now I have another 6 days before I can return, so I don't know what to do

In this case, either wait the time to unlock or return the phone to the seller.
you can try:create a folder at the root, rename it to "downloaded_rom" and put the zip inside. try update.
download zip here https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/lmi/stable/V12.0.4.0.QJKMIXM/

I have a question, could it be that the reboots were due to the deactivation of miui optimizations? Because after activating them, there seems to be no more random reboots

It is possible, but why write "upgraded to miui 12, the phone just reboots randomly" because this parameter does not turn off by itself.

I had turned it off before, and it didn't give any problems, after the update it started to give these problems, that's why, I thought it could be this

You could have specified it and when you deactivate this parameter an alert message indicates "possible unstable system" and what is your problem? unstable system.
