Ironically enough, I just started trying to build an aosp pie rom for the h3223.
Halfway into the process, while selecting the phone model, I realized that our model is not shown.
However, The h3213 is the european version of our phone with some overlaying similar basebands.
I'm going to give it a shot and see what happens.

Will post updates on this thread as I make progress.
Right now I am updating the repositories on my system and attempting to do another build. I have performed some research and will be testing a few things locally. I don't want to excite anyone as I do not know where this will lead. Hopefully will have more info soon.

I have been silently trying to make progress. Have had issues with a server, so I had to rebuild that. Once I got it back up and running, I am having issues with the build. A little more investigation led to the fact that enough storage had not been provisioned to the machine.
Now am currently in the process of re-installing and configuring the build environment. I hope to have an update posted later this weekend.
Cheers :good:.

No worries. Nice to hear that you're getting your phone today.
I've almost finished getting the build environment configured.
Might have an update later on today depending on how a few things turn out.

Currently in the process of flashing them to my phone. Once this is done, will reboot and see what works and what doesn't.

Alright, I was up until three last night. But I made some good progress.
Flashing the image files compiled from source does not provide any sort of google apps functionality whatsoever.
I ended up being able to boot twrp recovery and sideload opengapps. This has given me play store functionality.
Current things that are working:
- Wifi
- Camera
- Audio
- Video
- Hardware buttons
- SIM Card is recognized, and only occasionally gives me cell service.
The device will occasionally reboot randomly. It seems that it will just freeze and reboot.
With that being said, I have been using snapchat on the device without any issues. I will continue more testing and research.

Basically, backup(!) including internal 'sd' partition, install meteos-mtk6589-rom-edit-4gb-en.apk (linked above) and run, select partition size, reboot into recovery, wipe data, then for me I had to format /system else restoring nandroid failed. Finally, restore backup, reboot, mount as usb storage, format the internal drive in Windows, then dismount and I then formatted Phone Storage in Android before copying back everything to that partition.

Shame, such an empty thread.
Today I would like to contribute some information.
I own a GT99 for about a month. Overall I am very happy with the phone, but the GPS performance was really not good at all. I tried every software fix I could find on the Internet. Things improved a little bit but the result was still not good enough. Then, inspired by a video on You Tube I started looking on the hardware side of the story. To cut it short: Connect a approx. 10 cm long fine wire to the GPS antenna underneath the back cover and the phones GPS comes to life. No longer intermittent reception and the first fix is normally under 10 seconds now.
Cheers

Glad it worked for you too.
In the meantime I am convinced, this little modification also helped with the WiFi throughput. Seems to download a lot faster with the "enhanced" antenna. :good:
In any case, I recommend this to all GT99 users. It is quite harmless (you don't even have to dismantle you phone) and it really makes a difference.

If you're in to backing up/testing roms/nandroid I'd recommend updating to the latest cwm recovery.img, it's much much better than the one's linked to before September.

Nope, all find for me. Might be worth checking logcat and seeing what's causing it to reboot.
Has anyone tired the MobileUncle Tools app to change the volume levels on this GT99? I've set most correctly but I can't seem to find what controls the speaker when Google Now voice search 'dings' or reads aloud the results, it's painfully loud. Any pointers?

Hmm, there must be something. Only thing I can suggest is completely wiping (after backing up) everything, reflash the 802 rom and just use the minimal sim card, google account etc and see how it goes, slowly adding stuff back in.

Somewhere I read that there is a 1.4???
So far so good. No reboots. We will see.
There is even a 2.0!

jcase has already stated that 3.0 is not intended to support Moto phones. I think it's for the HTC phones only. Not to say the Moto phones may unintentionally benefit from the update, nor that there isn't a "version 4.0" coming later on, so I agree with you on waiting to take any updates whatsoever. Please do post all over every Turbo forum thread if 3.0 works when it's released. I mean, borderline spam the entire forum to let people know, lol.
I was planning to wait to get the phone until an exploit is found, but with updates coming out-of-the-box it may not be long before the stock of phones at 21.21.12 are gone and stores start stocking the phone with 21.21.15 already installed, so I'll be getting a 64 GB tomorrow afternoon.
I find it very odd that there is no information online as far as what the .15 update affects (supposedly not the VoLTE update).

I rocked .12 for the first 8 hours, then finally updated to .15 - right after updating to .15 a number of updates not available previously in Play became available for the Camera app, looked to be darn near every Verizon app, and a few other tid-bits... only thing of real note was the Motorola Camera app getting an update that didn't exist prior.
The camera also showed better performance with the update, especially in the neighborhood of noise in shadows. As well, battery life seemed better, but that could be the phone getting a proper charge / battery level reading.
The 15 update fixed my IMS issues I was having. On 12 my IMS wouldn't register but on 15 it works flawlessly.

The main reason I need IMS is at Badger football games at camp Randall, the legacy spectrum is over saturated and won't allow me to send SMS without IMS. The LTE network can handle it however.
Heya!
So i just got this Nvidia tablet with blisspop/lollipop or whatever it's called already installed.
Now i've been trying to read through some of the threads on this page but it honestly feels like im reading a different language.
I've noticed the Nvidia power options is gone from the tablet and since im lagging pretty bad often when playing games although not all the time, i'd like to fix this.
I thought the best option would be to increase my cpu usage, do you guys have any guides or tips for me on how i could do that?
Thanks in advance!
honestly, the kernel included in blisspop is plagued with odd behavior.. hangs, audio skips, and weird lag that comes and goes without reason...
some say it works fine for them, but myself and many others have had this issue... so, that is probably your problem.

I understand, is there anything i can install which works better? or am i stuck with the current "kernel" as it's called?
Sorry, i'm not familiar with the contents of blisspop and such.
you can try the official firmware, but if you bought the tablet with blisspop installed on it already... it is probably killswitched... so you need to follow the instructions here or risk breaking your tablet for good.

I assumed the Killswitch is something that deactivates my tablet if i dont do anything to fix it, hence why i asked if it wouldn't work after a while if i didn't do anything about it.
I'll try to follow what the thread says. Thanks for the replies!
the killswitch could kill your tablet the instant it connects to the internet.
make sure you remove it BEFORE you do and you won't have any issues from that point on with anything.

Hi, nice post. Just what I was looking for as I am about to acquire a V20, a Korean version and I'm looking to mod it like my G5 with everything possible . First question - your article has a link to something to mod the secondary screen but the link is dead. Could you say what was the mod and is it still available?

That paid app, BoredSigns, has been discontinued and taken off the Play store since the developer no longer owns a V20. Its weather widget has been broken for a while, so don't expect that part to work. I have attached a screenshot of the developer's message on the Play store listing which you can only see if you already had the app installed earlier. You can still build the app yourself from its source on GitHub if interested.
I just bought a F800 model on ebay for very little which has a cracked screen and other minor problems. I'm not sure if it's F800 L or K or S yet and I won't know until I receive it. In any case I'm in europe and I'm hoping to do the works, root it, twrp it etc and maybe put a european software version on it. I'm not sure in what order I should go about this, would you have an opinion.? Should I root and twrp it first or should I kdz a different firmware first and then root it? As I write this I suppose it's logical to root it first, it couldn't make changing firmware version more difficult I suppose. Any thoughts appreciated. I'm totally new the phone so not sure what's possible.

I'm not familiar with the Korean variants, but I think this general thread on the F800 models should help you get started. The later pages in there will give you an idea of other users' recent activities.
Ok gonna have time to update my article next week.
What do you want me to talk about or clarified.
Thank you very much for this, it is very helpful to have it all together. In the light of this, I believe that it would be helpful if you advice people a bit about rooting, not the very basic, but what one need to be aware of, possible pitfalls in the process.
Partly because of your nice recommendations I have now rooted my V20 and installed most of your recommendations. Until now everything is fine
I tried the moded camera files but it renders the camera unsusable i have ro reflash the rom. Even if i flash back to stock files it dosent work.
Running us996 deodexed btff kernel on a h915.

I have nougat but i have other camera issues withouth these drivers my h915 converted to us996 deodexed nougat my right rear camera (when looking at the back of the phone ) is not working since the conversion. I want to try and flash back a h915 rom to see if its the camera config files that are the issue .
Or if someone can post the h915. Camera files that would be awesome.

This is my review of the lg v20 in 2019. It has received positive feedback on Telegram and Reddit, so I decided to post it here as well. I'm going to try to keep updating this as I go with my current mods.
The article will hopefully be updated again next week addressing the current constructive criticism I have received.
Hope this helps someone out.

I just changed test settings from 15 min to 10. I left everything else as it is. (number of threads: 20)
It also surprised me, because I've had this phone for two whole years.
Made the test with airplane mode on. Maybe there's something wrong with the settings?
Also maybe it is because I am currently in a sort of cold room? (about 20°c)
Edit: Re-running test for 15 min. Moved to a slightly hotter area of the same room.
Re-edit: Changed thermal paste anyways. I'm going to check if it's better for me.
I have a new refrub and I got 85K. Defiantly let it run for over 10 minutes. I didn't see any red lines in the graph. I didn't play with any settings. I'm kinda disappointed which is ridiculous because I bought the paste in advance and I have a copper shim I was thinking of putting on it as well. I don't see any need to do it now so I'll leave it for the time being.
Are you guys looking at the max reading or the average? I got just shy of 100k when I was using the electrically conductive pad but average was still only in the 80s. The 2nd pic was the new one I replaced it with after I found out it was electrically conductive.

I still recommend the clang version of the kernel its still better than the other MK variants.
AKT Ghostpepper is now recommended get it here
Please donate to a new kernel https://forum.xda-developers.com/v20/development/bounty-kernel-h990ds-stock-oreo-t3952667
Nothing else new for now, Stay Tuned.
I recently got myself a free Galaxy S6 in topaz blue 32GB version. It was missing a battery so I put one in and it surprisingly seemed to work, well until some stuff started showing on the screen.
Unfortunately, the phone seems it can't mount any partitions whatsoever. Upon booting I get various messages about not being to able open or mount partitions, which unfortunately means I can't access the recovery menu. Have tried installing many different original softwares from various carriers but nothing seems to work. One thing which I did get working is TWRP, I managed to install it via odin, but now all the different storages show up as 0MB, tried various tips from youtube but none seem to work. I can push files to it via ADB but none can install due to no partitions being able to be mounted. I can't even wipe any partitions via odin. I'm starting to suspect the device probably had the storage encrypted somehow.
I've given up all hopes now , can someone please help me? Is there even any help for my device?
First off you should never have even rooted this device. When u root a device it voids all warranty. Second have you tried buying a different battery.

To my knowledge, the device wasn't rooted as stated by the previous owner when I went to pick it up, and right now it is using a 1 year old battery so I don't think that's an issue.
Do you have a way to live stream the phone so I can walk you through a couple things.

Not too familiar with that but I've heard of it before. I'll have to make an account first but that's no big deal

Okay so I made an account and have set it up on my phone aswell, but I think my internet connection is either too slow or not stable enough because the stream keeps ending on me and freezing. I don't know how we could do this but would youtube do? Sorry I'm not good with these streaming things as I've never done it before lol
