I currently have official twrp installed and I want to install bluspark twrp so that I can flash pie.
What is the correct way to do this?
When I tried to boot into twrp and flash bluespark the first time I was stuck at a black screen with a blue led on.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
Did you delete the twrp folder in internal storage before upgrading to bluspark twrp

Who says bluspark TWRP is needed? I used official TWRP 3.2.3.0 and had no problems. Go to recovery, flash pie, flash official TWRP 3.2.3.0, reboot to recovery, flash Magisk 17.1 (17.2 might work, but I used 17.1 so I can't say if it will or not), and reboot to system. That is what I did. Everything works great, I did not lose any data, and kept root.
Thanks I will give it a shot.

how do you get back to original twrp? seems mine also stuck there
Just download the blue_spark_twrp.zip and flash it in your current TWRP, i did that about a week ago and everything is fine.
hertz9511
when you flash Oos rom it auto flashes Oxygen recovery.
nksonfire
when you change twrp you need to clean what is in Twrp Folder or delete it. This way you don't have any conflicts.
Did this today also, went and used fastboot command and got blackscreen and white LED on, heres what to do.
Just put the bluspark twrp.zip on your phone, boot into enchilada TWRP and flash the zip, it installs fine, dont actually need to flash the image.

That is exactly what I did and ended up with the black screen and blue led on.
Hi.
So this was pretty stupid of me. I was trying to flash LiquidRemix onto my OP6, but I forgot to wipe the system partition. Flashed the rom, then blu_spark twrp, and rebooted into recovery to flash gapps and all. Got a black screen with a static LED. Didn't think that was a big issue cause this has happened before with normal TWRP on OB6 or OB7. Tried hard resetting to see if I could get into system, same result. Tried fastboot flashing 9.0.2, no help. And finally tried flashing OB9 via fastboot, and also no help.
I've reverted back to my tiny S6 and have sent repair request to OP. I haven't gotten anything back yet, so I thought in the mean time, I'd look for help on XDA and try to fix it before having the chance to send it in.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
// EDIT
Figured out how to fix it. Used the MSMDownloadTool to unbrick my device. Worked wonders. Thanks to r/oneplus Discord

I'm able to get into fastboot, but even if I fastboot boot [insert twrp file name here], it'd still result in the blank screen and static LED
Hmm I don't know then sorry
Try
fastboot flash boot twrp.zip
Then
fastboot reboot
You will need to use full stock rom first before doing anything else though.
I was in the same boat as you the other day. I flashed different versions of twrp until i managed to boot one because some twrp isn't compatible with pie.
Lol I never wipe system...
Might sound like a "hard-bricking" issue since you cant boot into the OS nor recovery. There 's a hard brick recovery guide, but it'll put you down to oreo OOS: https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/how-to/tool-msmdownloadtool-v4-0-international-t3798892
As long as you can boot into fastboot, you can follow the guide's process with no problem.
Hi folks. As the title suggest I'm having problems installing TWRP recovery on teclast M89 tablet. I've tried a few different tutorials with no success. When I do it with fastboot it says that its installed, after that when I try to reboot the device, I'm stuck in bootloop. I've tried to do it a few times and its always the same problem. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks.
Hello, the same for me with my M89, I'm going crazy.... Help us please!!!! Thanks!!!

Hi, i tried this method but couldnt boot in system, only twrp all the time. after initial install this TWRP 3.3.1, it bootlooped in twrp but storage wasnt seen in pc, so i formatted data and restarted in twrp. from there it couldnt restart system anymore. actually i managed to flash magisk 19.3 . i flased another version of twrp 3.2.3 that seemed to work fine, to see if it was the version, and it bootloops (restarts until logo) all the time. Any hint please?
It says in little print "your device now unlocked...your device will boot in 5 seconds" but restart. Cant get it into fastboot by volume up; unresponsive at all. just bootloops in logo.
Any help is very much appreciated. thanks

Hi
I think you are going to have to reflash the original Rom using SPFlahtool. Then you must install Magisk Manage on tabletr. Copy the boot image from the ROM files to Your phone. Then use Magisk Manager to Patch the copied boot image. Transfer modified boot image to PC. Use fastboot to flash modified boot image back onto the tablet. The long and the short of it is - you need to find a way to patch the boot image with Magisk before any TWRP will work.
Right. The problem was accesing the tablet enough time as it stayed connected and recognized by pc only 3-5 secs, and then permanent unresponsive through buttons, but i used then sp flash to just flash boot, then preloader, then recovery from stock at every reboot. From there i could turn it off, It got out of the loop, and accesible to reflash whole stock rom. In the end i only flashed magisk through fastboot, as twrp is not so useful to me as no custom rom, so better no risks.
Thanks for your reply though

I am glad you got your tablet running again. I had originally started out with just Magisk as root also. I do like to have a working TWRP for backing up though. You should be able now to flash the above mentioned TWRP now via SpFlashtool or fastboot.

It seems OEM unlock fills "para" partition with some data which forces it to boot into recovery. Stock recovery reads this data and perform data partition wipe or something similar, but TWRP does not handle this data and you get a boot loop. You can fix that by cleaning "para" partition. Execute the following command while booted into TWRP, either from TWRP terminal itself or from adb shell:
Code:
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/platform/mtk-msdc.0/11230000.MSDC0/by-name/para

No. It won't. I bricked my ****ing tablet. It refuses to reboot once it's unlocked because (as the screen say) it is now untrusted. There is no way to relock the bootloader again and the the tablet is stuck in a bootloop.
Teclast is ****.
Hello i'm new in XDA, i have this tablet althougth i can't conect the hdmi port to the tv, the screen keep in black, i think it's because of the display format (4:3) can the root solve this problem?
Thank You!!

The bootloop is not because you've unlocked the bootloader, but most probably because the firmware is designed to perform userdata partition setup in the recovery upon first boot, and you don't have stock recovery, that's why it can't finish formatting procedure.
This could be fixed by flashing stock recovery and booting once.
You can ask for a firmware from Teclast (I used to ask them on vkontakte because they didn't respond my mails), they will provide it.
OR you can write zeros to "para" partition using fastboot, it should do the trick too.

Try to unplug/plug again HDMI cable several times. It seems that the HDMI controller or drivers are buggy.
To change the resolution I use "SecondScreen" software (requires root).

Are you trying to enter recovery right after flashing it, without booting the OS first? I think you need do enter TWRP right after flashing it.
Hello,
I have a problem with my OPO7Pro (GM1913) - Bootloader unlocked.
I hope I can find some help here.
I was on 9.5.5 and updated to 9.5.7. Before rebooting, I chose the function in Magisk to patch the Boot image on the inactive slot.
After the reboot, I was stuck on Bootloader.
No I really tried a lot, but couldn get my phone to boot up correctly again.
The only thing that works is booting into TWRP recovery after using
Code:
fastboot flash boot twrp.img
What I have tried:
Used the package from https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-pro/how-to/rom-stock-fastboot-roms-oneplus-7-pro-t3931424 (9.5.7-GM21BA-OnePlus7ProOxygen_21.E.11_OTA_011_all_1906040003_25c96-FASTBOOT.zip) --> There it stuck somewhere saying the image is too large?
Used the flashable zip from https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-7-pro/how-to/oneplus-7-pro-global-repo-oxygen-os-t3930585 (9.5.7: OnePlus7ProOxygen_21.E.11_OTA_011_all_1906040003) --> It flashed, but it still did a bootloop
Flashed the patched/stock boot image from the Magisk-Thread --> Only bootloop
I really don't know, what I could try. I have a backup of my data, so this is no problem. I just want my phone to boot again.
What is the correct way?
Can someone please help me?
Thanks a lot!
Try this unbrick
Hi, thanks for the hint! This worked flawlessly! Phone is booting up again. I'm now trying to update and get root again.
Edit:
Fully working again, with root and newest update.
Thanks a lot again.
My Phone was running Android 11 perfectly fine. Has been for about a week and a half, and I've decided that I don't like the OS. I was going to flash a custom ROM and went to create a nandroid before flashing. Literally all I did was boot into recovery and TWRP got stuck in a bootloop, the TWRP splash screen appears, crashes and then reappears about 2 seconds later, now when I try to boot back into system, TWRP appears instead and continues to bootloop. I can enter fastboot mode but that's all.
So far I've tried
Booting TWRP through fastboot. Failed another bootloop.
Rebooting through ADB. Boots into TWRP.
Rebooting Bootloader. Seems to do nothing.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this ? It seems strange to me that something as simple as booting recovery could do this much harm. I also have a nandroid backup stored on the device from about a month ago, so the data loss wouldn't be THAT major, but I'm also not sure how I could access it without system or recovery access.
Hi , Which version of TWRP use? I think there is an update a new version TWRP 3.5.2 , Try to flash it. if its still not booting try to boot the original Boot of OOS11.

For TWRP to work your device must be decrypted.
