Hello guys.. I have oneplus 6 device..
If I don't use phone for a long time, it will affect my mobiles battery.?
Am working in oil field.. so I couldn't use it when am on site.. 42 days I couldn't use.. my rotation is 42 days work and 21 days off..
So please tell me what are the measures I have to do when I don't use phone for a long time..
Your quick support is highly appreciated..

Any suggestions.?

Ideally lithium-based chemistry batteries, but only if not used for a very long time, should be removed from device and stored at around 40% state-of-charge.
Recommended storage temperature is 15 °C (59 °F).

I think that OP6 battery should remain in place without problems.
Charge it at about 50% and leave phone powered off in a moderately cool place.
42 days aren't really a big amount of time, so there's no need to worry about it...

now it wont even last for an hour
Also you can buy a new battery, they are cheap this days

try conditioning your battery, you do this by running your phone down til' it turns off. Then, charge (while off) for about 7 hrs.

lol both correct, but try what wiredvs says first. When under heavy use, the battery gauge does not display the crrect charge sometimes. You will charge it until the green light shows (normally full yes?) and take it off charge, but the phone will not be fully charged.
Charging it for at least double the time with device off should rectify the issue, its a common "quirk" of winmo devices under heavy usage.
If it doesnt work then ur battery is fried so time to get a new one

Wait, what? You can talk on these things? OMG YOU'RE RIGHT!? I've never done that.
Seriously, I suspect your battery is dead, so I'm agreeing with, well, every other post in this thread. My battery has gotten weird too.. I tracked a bunch of battery usage on my phone back when it was new, now when I do the same thing the readings seem to be higher than they were because I'm basing it on percentage of battery used. I've found actually monitoring the battery usage tends to use more battery so I wanted to avoid that.
Also I've noticed mine charges up to about 88% then suddenly thinks it's 100% full. It's about time for a new one.

Now that Current Widget works on the Sensation It would be interesting to see what everyone else is getting on idle.
Im running standard rom Vodafone UK Branded and it doesnt seam to dip below 200mA on average, the lowest was 89ma for a few secs then shot back up. I have had it running and logging over night.
What is everyone else getting?

I'm getting 140-170 at idle, this is with juice defender, and data set to on every 2 hours
To be honest I don't think battery monitor widget I is reflecting the right amount of drainage. Change it from sensation to estimated and watch how much your numbers change

Mine is around 250ma when in idle. Overnight I have bluetooth, wifi, gps and push mail off and it only checks mail every 4 hours... so not quite sure what it is doing. Was running the same s/w on my HD2 and was getting < 5ma.

Same for me, I was getting <5ma on my HD2 when idle.
I wonder if SetCPU really works with the Sensation, having 250ma when idle would kill the battery way too fast!
I'm not sure if I have the maths/theory totally wrong, but pls correct me if so.... but if we have a reading of 250mah that means we are taking 250 ma per hour. Say our baterry is 1500mah (should provide 1500ma for one hour) does that mean we get 6 hours (1500/250) from a full charge??
Shoot me down if I have the theory wrong.... but 250mah does seem a lot. Presume that we need to trust the reading we are getting from the Battery Monitor Pro widget.

I think your math is correct, but something is surely wrong as I can get 3+ days under very light usage.
something wrong with mine tooo, ex user of hd2 usually around 7-9 mah when hd2 in idle, now use sensation around 200++
I gonna leave it 1rst if my battery drain in 6-7 hours then something wrong with my sensation but if it over 8 hours seem there is flaw in current widget
When the App does logging, your phone will need more power. Not accurate in my opinion. I also got something like 200 mA for idle. But it's not so much more when playing music etc. I assume the display consumes most of the power (Android's battery usage info agrees with me). Try measuring it in standy as follows: Disable your logging apps etc, remember your battery status in %. Leave it in Standby overnight, remember the time when you turn it off. In the morning, check your batetry status and note the time so that you can tell how many % you lost in what time. Then take that percentage from your battery capacity (1580 mah with stock battery). Divide this by the amount of hours and you will find your standby drain. Mine is something like 16 ma.
Example: Your battery when you go to sleep: 80%. You sleep for 8 hours. Your battery reading now: 70%. Thats 10%. 10% of 1580 mah is 158 mah. Divided by 8 is 19.75 ma. That's your standby consumption.
I recommend you do this when your battery is around 50%. My battery stays at 100% for a very long time, don't know why...
Just installed an update to the Battery Monitor Pro Widget that is supposed to address the issue of high current readings ont he Sensation. Will see how it goes.

Makes no difference.
No app to date is accurately measuring the stdby current (screen off) Clearly 200mA is not correct as your phone would only last 8 hours wiith no usage!
I'm getting 6 mA on idle, around average of 200 mA while in use.
I'm using battery monitor widget(free version).
I'm recording the history at 1 hour interval. sometimes idle mA doesn't record because it fall within that time frame.
but when it does, 6mA.

Go to your monitoring settings and go to ma retrieval settings and put it on sensation and then tell us what readings you get? I'm assuming your setting is on estimated right now

Now here's a strange thing.... was looking at my ma usage graph over night and noticed a couple of times it was on almost 0ma and not the normal 200-250ma. On looking at the history I noticed that this as the only time the temp fell below 25deg C. All other history was 200-250 and the temp was 25 and above.... very strange.... might put it in the fridge for a few minutes tonight!!

When you get done reading all these "exaggerations" and seeing the pictures (gosh they must be Photoshopped) you can retract your accusation of lying.

The recent update to CurrentWidget mentions it now works on the Sensation, but it's definitly not reading mA's correctly. Still a work in progress, I suppose.
What is everyone's feelings on Battery Monitor Widget (I am at work now so can't download it) and what is with this estimated setting? What is the point of that???
BTW, I can easily go 2 days with the 2 Sensations at my house...

ROM: ICS( MIUI ROM). Within 2 hours and 33 minuts the battery level has dropped to 78%. Is it because of the ROM I am using? I have also experienced sudden variations in battery level. When the battery level is somewhere around 60s when i reboot to recovery the battery suddenly drops to below 20s .

That's about right for ics roms and moderate use. I consistently get about 10-12 hours with 1-2 hours of screen on time. Rebooting to recovery screws up the battery readings but you should see it creep up and come back to normal eventually.

From what other people have said, inconsistent battery levels on reboot generally means that your battery is on its way out. You can see by using Battery Stats Pro or something similar that the voltage will sometimes drop by 200ma (at least, mine does) on a reboot. Which is why I ordered a new battery... which would have been here last week if it hadn't gotten lost a state away. Stupid Fedex.
I'm running pacman for now and using greenify to keep maps and google services from killing the battery in 5 hours. It went 15 hours the other day but I hardly used it at all. I have another battery but I hardly use it, it's a 1500mah and it doesn't last nearly as long as my good old stock battery which is in fact a bit swollen and slowly dying. I guess that recovery battery thing is like the distant early warning of impending battery death.
I had this phone for about a week now. Got used to all the features. Did all the things needed to calm the draining issue. But no budge. I've drained from 85% protection battery on to 65% upon waking up. So much faster drain from my old s20 ultra. I'm sure there will be an update. The more we talk. We all should comment on Instagram comment section.

And do you think that doing a hard reset and setting it up as new can improve the battery?
I lost 5 or 6% overnight, and after last week's update that's been reduced to 3%
I have poor reception at work and even there I have way less drain now, so I'm a happy camper.
Sounds like some app(s) that are draining too much battery imo.

You should check which apps comsume battery too much, then decide what to do next.
When i first started i weren't happy at all with the battery drain. It barely used to last with 5hrs or so of screen on time! (Light usage too)
After the first 4 days it got better. I used an app called Alliance Shield X, which i believe helped me a lot. Now I'm happy with my battery drain.
Edit: Also the Galaxy Max Hz App.

Alliance Shield X helps to disable packages, create firewall, adblock, etc...
Galaxy Max Hz allows you to adjust screen refresh rates (highs and lows), and a few other settings like lowest hz on screen off/Aod refresh rate
Instander is just some 3rd party Instagram with additional features, lol. I don't use it a lot so i can't say for certain, but looking at the stats, it seems to be a decent drain

Hi
The moment I disconnect my charger (when the battery is fully charged) my S22 Ultra battery starts to drain. It may seem normal but I think it's fast!
I wonder how long should it take for my battery to drain from 100 to 5 per cent when I am working with the Internet, taking photos and calling.
How about stand by?
I'm a bit concerned.
Thanks for your response.

Hello! The same happens to me! Just after unplugging it goes from 100 to 97% very fast and then it looks like normal. But once I reach 20% it decreases very fast. 5% is like dead. Can you pls tell me if you found a solution or maybe you changed the phone meanwhile. I used Accu Battery Pro and it shows me 87%, 4204 mah/ 4855 mah but I donna what to think about it. Should I consider an official battery changing. Would it make any difference? Thanks in advance!

Thirty minutes ago my battery was fully charged (100%) and so far I have only turned on my WiFi checking my emails, My battery is 95 right now. I Just want to know if that's okay.
I will check the forum for sure.

You can try using https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gsamlabs.bbm.pro (there's also a free version) and enabling all stats using adb (it's not complicated) Then you will see if there's any background process keeping cpu alive for too much time.
If everything is normal regarding background process and wakelocks, you may have a faulty battery, but I highly doubt it since it's much more uncommon than software related battery drain.
