New (to me) Verizon Pixel. Just unlocked the bootloader. Now what? - Google Pixel Questions & Answers

Can I flash the stock non-verizon firmware for this phone? Are there any significant differences between the Verizon and non-Verizon versions?
Thanks!

You're on T-mobile and wondering why you're not getting an AT&T update? M'kay.
I think you've answered your own question there.

I read on the one s forums that carrier updates are actually pushed out by HTC, not the carrier. It's based on the cid of the phone, not what SIM card you have in it.

That is interesting. But what if you're SuperCID?
Pretty sure you don't get updates with super cid.

That I know is incorrect, based on nothing more than all the people who bricked taking the OTA with SuperCID.

Fair enough. Why'd you ask?
I thought people were manually flashing the ota file to their phones...

I thought at least a couple just took it, but I could be wrong. I'm not 100% sure about all this, which was why I asked.

Can I downgrade when I am running 4.4.4?

I have a Droid Maxx (which I think is basically an Ultra) running Android 4.4.4. It is not an unlocked version. Can I downgrade to an older firmware?
No we can't downgrade or unlock bootloader till now.

How to tell if you have a locked bootloader?

How can you tell if you have a locked bootloader? I know AT&T is supposed to be locked and T-Mobile unlocked but how can you actually tell? Is there actual confirmation somewhere for these?

If it's AT&T and Verizon it is guaranteed to be locked. If it's T-Mobile and sprint then it is most likely unlocked.

Thanks but that doesn't really answer my question.
Also wondering if you get a Tmobile phone that is unactivated, one would think the bootloader is unlocked because it's Tmobile, however if an AT&T sim is placed in it, will it lock to AT&T and lock the bootloader? Looking at phones on Swappa and wondering if the phone has to first have a Tmobile sim it it, activated then SIM unlocked before using with AT&T. All talk of same hardware across the carriers is making me wondering

That's for subsidy unlock to use another companies sim card, not the bootloader.

Same with Verizon.
But the question is, does that actually do anything? I seem to recall there being a work around on the g4 to enable that option but it didn't really do anything.
So if you are an ATT customer and you want to unlock your bootloader, you could buy a tmobile variant because it supports bands 2, 4, & 12? Or would it be better to buy the G930F international verison?
From samsung's website:
4G FDD LTE: B1(2100), B2(1900), B3(1800), B4(AWS), B5(850), B7(2600), B8(900), B12(700), B18(800), B19(800), B20(800)
4G TDD LTE: B38(2600), B39(1900), B40(2300), B41(2500)

Reflash With TMobile ROM

Is there anyway to reflash this phone with the TMobile ROM or a generic unbranded ROM? If so how?

Most of them yes... and this one is 100% locked it's a lost cause.
I have a Verizon Note 5 that I bought from a local used phone shop and its completely GSM unlocked. Its do-able, I just don't know how.

GSM unlocked is different from being bootloader unlocked, which is what would be needed to be able to flash a different models' firmware.
