Notification problem on Facebook App Tap Login Screen - General Questions and Answers

Hey guys, I have a problem I cannot seem to figure out.. Probably a week or two ago I stopped getting logged out notifications, I use the Tap login (saved password login) where it shows your picture and you tap it once to log in, the problem is it no longer shows the red dot with the number of notifications waiting anymore. Here are the things I've tried.
Going to APPS in Settings and checking that "Show Notifications" is enabled, which it is.
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Went to in-app Settings and Notification Settings (assuming that even has any effect on Logged out notifications I'm not sure if it does or not.) Still appears to be ok settings.
Other things I've tried:
Clearing FB app cache.
Clearing FB app data.
Unintalling FB app completely (including files left after uninstall)
Reinstalling FB app.
Clearing Cache from Recovery Mode.
Factory Reset from Recovery Mode.
None of which has fixed the problem.
Here are some details that may be useful:
Phone: ZTE ZMAX2 (z958)
Android OS Version: 5.1 Lollipop
Facebook App version: 180.0.0.35.82
I thought maybe FB broke something in one of their updates or something but everyone knows FB has next to nothing as far as support, they do have the "report a problem" on facebook but you always get an automated reply and never really know if your getting anywhere by reporting it. Also the developer email on google play but again with so many users I imagine the amount of support emails I doubt they are able to monitor them efficiently.
Anyone have any ideas whatsoever as to what the problem could be? Could it be an android setting somewhere that is blocking the apps logged out notifications? Or possibly app not syncing?
Any help would be appreciated.

bump... Anyone?

[Q] Can't edit calendar entries from exchange server

Sorry for the several pictures attached, but they will help illustrate the problem.
This is the software version I am using on the phone. I am rooted but otherwise stock.

This is the version of Google Calendar I am using
I have 2 exchange accounts on my Android device. Each syncs calendar entries properly. This pic is of one of the accounts.
However, depending on the manner in which the calendar entry was entered, whether on the phone or using outlook, the notifications differs.
This entry was added using the phone. Notice the "pen" icon in the top right, which allows for editing the entry as well as the general layout of the notification.
Now notice the notification when the entry was made with outlook. It is very different, and does not have the pen icon to edit the entry.
I found the following post (https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=13779) which seems to indicate that it is a problem with the primary SMTP address, but I removed, and then re-added the account using the exact address, and the problem persists.
I am at a loss. Anyone have any ideas. I contact my hosted exchange service, and they asked if I had updated my android software to the latest, and then said that, since they have not had many, if any, complaints about it, there was nothing they could do. Now, I am willing to live with it if need be, but I would love to correct this issue.
Update
So, I added the exchange calendar to a different android phone (TBolt) and the entries are now editable.
I then uninstalled, and reinstalled, the calendar app on the problem phone (A Rezound) and the problem is still present.
I also notice that I had two calendar applications. Notice the icons at the bottom of the picture
Perhaps there is some sort of interaction causing the problem. Anyone have any suggestions. Would love to uninstall the older calendar app, but don't see that option anywhere.
I am trying to avoid a factory wipe, and am also wondering if the latest Rezound SW update will cure the problem.
Any ideas?

AT&T Messages Backup & Sync In LG Messaging App

I'm using my G4 on Straight Talk, with an AT&T compatible sim card. In LG's Messaging app, there's a persistent pop-up from AT&T Messages Backup & Sync that appears pretty much every time the app is opened:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
According to the FAQs linked to on the page, turning this off involves opening the app's settings, going to AT&T Messages Backup & Sync, and selecting "Stop Backup." However, this doesn't appear. All other solutions listed involve turning the service off in my AT&T account--which doesn't exist, because I'm on Straight Talk.
Has anyone found a way to get rid of this message? I'm running Marshmallow, so rooting, unfortunately, is not yet an option. Is there an MMI code to dial bringing up a menu with an option to set the registration for this service as complete, like there is for the AT&T Contacts messages? Or some other option altogether?
I know that I could use a third-party messaging app, but I haven't found one other than this that will automatically enable and disable my data connection to download MMS, which I've quickly gotten used to in the week or so since I've had this phone. If anyone has any suggestions as to something that does do this, I'm certainly open to trying it. Either way, any help is appreciated.
try using a different messaging app, Hangouts or Googles Messaging app, then after you set it up try wiping the stock messaging app. I use a different messaging app and when I go into the stock app and try to turn on AT&T Messages & Sync I get a window pop up that states I need to activate the stock app as default to use Messages &Sync.
Be sure to back up your messages first before you attempt anything, if you want to save your messages.
You can disable it in settings/apps and show system.
That worked! Thank you so much!
Thanks OP. Good ole XDA.

Accessibility turns itself off - at reboot and clearing app tray

basically as the title says. mainly this is important as last pass needs it on and so does Kakao talk (for notifications!)
there are a tone of suggested solutions on google, but the setting menus for the main one (disable "app optimization") do not exist on the phone (Settings > Apps > Advanced Options > Ignore Optimizations)
the other, simply add it to "protected app" list, but this does not work! both when clearing the app tray and when rebooting the phone.
so, the question: WHAT THE ACTUAL [email protected]#$
there has to be a way to do this, phone specs are bellow. Please for the love of god help me!

Hi I have also experienced this exact same annoying problem and after hours of googling and frustration I didn't find a solution.
If anyone finds a solution please advise.
I am on GEM-703L B212 stock unrooted.
EDIT: I also tried the "Ignore App Optimization" and "Protected App" options and it didn't do anything.
Bump
same problem here, for some aps like macrodroid (needs2 one stays other is turing itself off), system2, some others
On anything B212 I don't have that issue anymore. If you're rooted try moving the app you're having trouble with from data/app to system/app, set the proper permissions and then restart your phone. I use the OnePlus Gestures app and without moving it to /system is always has issues and it turns itself off in accessibility.

RealMe 2 NOTIFICATION ISSUE

I m not getting notification from some apps..ex Flipkart Amazon Hotstar & 365Scores..but when I open that app.. Notification starts appearing
But if I don't open that app for long hours then Notification gets blocked & it won't display any notification
Only WhatsApp Facebook Truecaller working perfectly
Some screenshots of notification setting of 365Socres Application & blocked records
If Anyone facing Issue or has solution..Do let me know.

If the app is encrypted with app password, you can't see the notification content.

omacp "unsupported browser", what browser?

I've got a Unihertz Jelly 2 with T-Mobile service. It's running Android 11. First thing I did when getting it, about two weeks ago, was disable a bunch of Google-ish apps because I'd mostly like Google out of my life. I know from past experience that I can't disable them all because, eg, play store is too useful for me to do without. I'm afraid I may have caused this issue I'm seeing because of my disable frenzy and I'm hoping someone can help me understand what's gone wrong.
Every couple of days I get these messages from number 2903: "We see your phone does have correct settings to access the internet or send MMS. Settings will be sent to your handset."
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
They are accompanied by notifications from Omacp app:
In Omacp I see requests to install things. When I click the button to do the full install I get a report that the APN installed fine but the "browser" failed:
Afterwards it tells me the browser is "unsupported":
What "browser" is it talking about? I thought it might have been Chrome, which was one of the apps I disabled, but re-enabling Chrome did not resolve this.
Still disabled on my phone: Assistant, Calculator, Calendar, Drive, Duo, Files by Google, Google TV, Keep Notes, Photos, Youtube, Youtube Music.
Not disabled (because I thought it would break stuff, I coudn't, or the warning messages too dire): Android Accessibility Suite, Android Auto, Android System Webview, Carrier Services, Game Mode, Gboard, Gmail, Google, Google Play Store, Maps, Messages, Phone, Settings, Sim Toolkit.
When I get the messages from 2903 for omacp, I need to do the install or MMS messaging does not work. This sort of feels like it should be happening automatically in the background.
I have the same issue. Any resolution on this?
What browser

Delete Omacp: it's a virus!
The virus may perform the following malware-related activities without your permission:
Periodically scan the phone.
Obtain the phone's contacts.
Complete control of the SMS solution.
Complete control over the phone calls phone.
Changing the malicious web server from which virus files are downloaded.
Creating a lock screen on your device and displaying a third-party website.
Running scripts that collect password and username information for various purposes.
Turning off and/or restarting your device.
This is why removing the OMACP virus from your Android is highly advisable.
