So i managed to upgrade via hwota7. Emui 5(elite rom) to emui 8. I ran into bit of problem like didnt flash oeminfo but managed to run emui 8. After it booted i flashed openkirin LOS 15. I dont know how it got twrp , maybe because i tried flashing oeminfo via hwota8. LOS booted but asks for password. So i flashed hurupdater on twrp but didnt fix it because data didnt mount. Now im stuck on emui recovery, downloading firmware via erecovery doesnt seem to work, even dload method doesnt work. It seems data partition is corrupted. Please help.
did you have access to twrp? if not then flash this stock recovery then do factory reset reboot your los will boot fine if its still not booting then flash los again via fastboot then do factory reset it will boot https://mega.nz/#!cbJFAIQD!qvp1KnZ0qxlg6nHDFmpM5qyZ9QUVIDe5PoZE0BQf8fs

Hello, today while trying to get back to stock i wierdly bircked my honor 8
I flashed the stock recovery and stock boot img
Then i flashed a rollback package and a marshmallow package which i used for this same thing before.
Now the phone didnt start for a solid 30 minutes and ive decided to reflash the rollback and marshmallow package, but after i flashed the rollback got stuck at the boot logo, not even the stock bootanimation showing up.
The phone doesnt reboot neither in any of the recoveries nor in bootloader.
Any help would be appreciated.
Stephen
Okay so after all of this i managed to reboot to bootloader and get my hands on one of my previous unlock codes. So now ive got an unlocked bootoader, but after fashing twrp the phone is stuck at the 'your device is booting now' when im trying to get in it
I thing you have flashed the wrong TWRP, check for the latest version or at least the one for your build
uh well, hello there again.
i've tried to do the dload method which failed(i used lots of versions tho none worked)
and i've tried flashing marshmallow twrp, which at the moment, well, it cannot mount anything. no partition can get mounted.
Does any of you guys have an idea of what i could try?
thanks in advance
Does it mean that you have access to TWRP ? if TWRP cannot mount a partition, go into mount section, tick system, data, boot, vendor and then reboot to TWRP again. Then try your previous operation. If it cannot mount data, go into wipe, advanced wipe, and click on format data, then restart TWRP and try again
seems like i somehow broke the partition table, cause it shows every storage as 0 mb and mounting isn't available, cant tick the option. Looks like i will have to find some service center to repair it by my own cost, by the end of the month. Though im giving it around the 25th so i got some more time till then, so maybe i find some solution to this problem.
Hey, so I managed to make the phone work again.
I have flashed boot cust recovery recovery2 and system from the italian marshmallow firmware, then I flashed that same firmware using dload method(tho it failed at 99%)

You tried only once? Maybe you should now try to flash TWRP recovery and restore a backup made by TWRP. I can provide you one but for FRD-L09, not another. Another method would be to flash the rollback package and then retry flashing an EMUI 4.X ROM (dload method for both), hope you'll figure it out
I think i expressed myself wrong.
That was how i got the phone to work.
Oh lol I misunderstood because of the "it failed at 99%" and I thought the phone wasn't rebooting , no matter I'm glad you succeeded
I wanted to unroot my Honor 6x so I could update to android 7, deleted the OS when I wiped with TWRP. TWRP no longer boots with button combo and when I flash a new TWRP on with fastboot it still doesnt work on the phone. Currently with no OS, no custom recovery, no erecovery (button combo doesnt work either) and not sure how to flash the OS back on without erecovery to dload method it.
Any way to fix this?
I already posted here, but i was with no pc for some weeks so couldnt answer to the thread and now its old, Im back.
Situation is like this, huawei gr5 2017 (bll l22) bricked after bad flashing and software manipulation.
Vol down + power gets me to fastboot, it says phone unlocked and FRP unlock.
Download method with vol down + vol up + power doesnt work, always stuck at 5% saying "software install failed, incompatibility with current version" or doesnt say anything at all, just stuck at 5%.
Also, when i try to wipe data/factory reset from stock revoery it says "reset failed"
So dload method doesnt work, i also tried using DCPHOENIX software which saved one of my older huawei phones but it didnt work at all this time. When i flash a twrp recovery through fastboot, it flashes succesfully but when i boot into it it just boots into the stock one, and there the restore to stock option always fails after i connect to wifi saying that "failed to reach the server" or "failed to download the firmware", something like that.
I had twrp some days ago, out of the blue it booted into it. I had stock firmware on my sd card fortunately so i tried to flash the zip and itfailed with error 6 or 7, cant remember which. Anyways that twrp instance dissapeared after a reboot and now its always stock recovery, cant install twrp (described that above already).
So, do i have any options? nothing seems to work. no recovery, no dload, no dc phoenix, no fastboot (i tried flashing boot, system images through fastboot but it denied access to those partitions) flashing, i tried sp flash tool but the honor 6x roms have no scatter file and the flash tool requires one
Help, please. Ill appreciate it
What was your EMUI version before brick? Have you tried manually booting into TWRP? After you finish flashing don't reboot. Just hold power & volume down. If not then try to load TWRP recovery. It won't install but sort of load it. I don't know the exact command. If your phone is bootloader unlocked and frp unlocked try fastboot erase. System and then user data. I had a hard brick and it was even worse. No recovery, no fastboot and no dload. Just stuck. Managed to fix it myself without DC or Phoenix. So don't lose hope.

I cant remember if it was marshmallow or nougat so it was either emui 4 or 5. Im trying it all again and it doesnt work but ill keep doing it i guess
Try flashing recovery of nougat and then manually try to boot. Or maybe try to load the recovery without installation. It has a different command but I dunno.
hi, I have pretty much the same problem, somehow wiped the 'system' through TWRP. And since then I am trying to flash TWRP to boot, but I am getting nothing. I had EMUI 8
Tried flashing stock nougat through Multi Tool but no use, it succeeds but does not boot into anything, just the stock recovery whenever I turn it on.
Whenever I flash TWRP and try to boot into recovery (Vol-up+power), it would always boot into stock recovery.
Tried booting into eRecovery, but same thing.
Tried command fastboot boot RECOVERY-V2.img, but got the problem saying 'command not allowed'
what to do.
Hi, I bricked my phone(L29C432) and I don't know what I can do now.
I upgraded via Firmware Finder to EMUI 9. Then I flashed this twrp and flashed this RR rom. After that I did format data in twrp. I don't know what went wrong, but now I can't boot twrp, erecovery or the system. I'm stuck at the "Your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted." screen.
What I can do is enter fastboot mode and flash a recovery via fastboot, but it doesn't boot.
I tried every twrp I could find here. I extracted recovery_ramdis.img from update.app(both EMUI 9 and 8) and flashed it. Nothing will boot.
Can anyone help me please? I'm in despair :silly:
Thanks in advance

Try flashing back stock system from fastboot. System from the build you were on
Always factory reset from stock recovery, never twrp.

Thanks for your reply, ante0.
I flashed system. img, kernel.img and recovery_ramdis.img, extracted from update.app. It doesn't boot.
Do I need to flash some other img files from update.app? (see attached image)
Hi all.
Today I unlocked my phone to flash the crDroid rom. First I went into fastboot to flash mauro's twrp and that worked fine. Then I flashed the miui 12.0.3 full stock image from twrp, which might have been a mistake since I flashed the full image instead of an extracted vendor / firmware version. Then I wiped system, cache and data and flashed twrp but when I tried to boot the phone it went into an infinite boot screen. Then I wiped and flashed the whole stock miui image again in the hope that I would at least be able to boot miui but that also failed, since the phone kept booting back to recovery and there was no boot screen at all.
I have also tried flashing the stock image (ver 12.0.6) from fastboot but it fails because of the anti rollback check error. The image I tried to flash has an antirollback version of 0 while my phone has a version of 1, so "current device antirollback version is greater than this package" is what I got. Now my options are very limited because for some reason my laptop can't access the file system of the phone so I can't transfer files to the phone anymore and the ADB sideload feature from twrp is not working, so I only have fastboot (adb also won't recognize my device). What can I do to save my phone? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Flash the MIUI with MiFlash.
Had sort of the same issue...
Try using adbfastboot tool ( it's a java programme ) to swap recoveries.
I got the bootloop after installing the LOS recovery , installed twrp from adbfastboot tool and got it working.
Nice to have working recovery but since adb sideload is broken in twrp i needed LOS recovery.
Tried to reflash the LOS recovery from the tool and this time it worked
Flash with Miflash (the latest version https://xiaomiflashtool.com/ option CLEAN ALL) the rom that was on your phone when you bought it.
For the roms It is better to flash firmwares with Miflash because TWRP is not 100% functional.

Man I can't believe such a simple suggestion would work but it did thanks! Initially I did not flash with miflash because it prompted me to install drivers and it crashed when I clicked the install button, turns out all I had to do was create a folder named log in the miflash directory lol. So flashing the stock image works. And it definitely boots correctly to miui with the clean all and lock option.
But now when I try to flash crdroid or pixel experience I still end up with an infinite boot screen even when using exactly the specified firmware :/ Like you see crdroid and pixelexp boot animations correctly but it lasts forever. I must be doing something wrong with the firmware still because that's the only reason I can think of why it won't boot. After I flash the firmware in miflash I don't have to boot miui up first right? I'm using the 'save user data' option in miflash if that matters.
In my post, I specified CLEANALL, but anyway, you must format data before flashing.
Which rom do you want to install Cdroid or Pixel?

I'm now trying to flash crdroid. After flashing V12.0.3.0.QJKMIXM in miflash with flash_all, I formatted data in twrp (the one where you have to type yes) but also with a decrypt & normal factory reset I still get the same result. After the format, I flashed crdroid without magisk and gapps, and it'll just hang on the crdroid boot screen :/. The weird thing is, before I flash the crdroid rom it can boot in MIUI just fine and it'll show that it's indeed the correct 12.0.3.0 in the settings so I have no idea if it's just the crdroid ROM at this point.
Flash with miflash V12.0.3.0.QJKMIXM reboot system and go fasboot when affiche "devices is locked",flash chinesse twrp ,reboot twrp, format data reboot twrp, wipe all ecxept OTG reboot twrp, flash Cdroid format data, reboot twrp flash gapps, reboot system( take time ).

This ended up working perfectly Crdroid is now running like a charm with gapps and magisk. Thank you guys a lot for helping me out with this!
