No OS Installed - OnePlus 6 Questions & Answers

How do I fix this I need help

Can you be more specific please? Explain in details what is the problem

I accidently wiped system in TWRP and now I have no OS

Then reboot to recovery and flash a ROM of your choice? *scratch* That's no Samsung phone. As long as you're able to boot to bootloader, nothing is destroyed.

Alright will try that

Most of the roms I see, Say that they require OOS beforehand

I had that same problem recently..ended up using this...https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/how-to/tool-msmdownloadtool-v4-0-international-t3798892 ...worked perfectly... restored back to factory version, but up in running within minutes

OK will try that thanks

What? On any Samsung phone you can just derp big time with system and kernel and on download mode ODIN the entire image back, what do you mean exactly?

@RusherDude: That would have been awesome, if. Ever had the nice situation, where the phone was recognized, but Odin said: "Nope, no phone!". Had this nice anti-feature on my S3, S4, Note 4, S8 and Note 8. It is a problem you can solve. But if this situation happens: It's annoying as hell. And if I'm forced to use Odin for emergency: Nah. I prefer the old methods of using commandline. Thanks .

Of course, ODIN sucks and being forced to use it the first time if no xploit is available is what made me stop using Samsungs. But it works in those situations , if as you say the PC recognizes it, with my old S2 it never failed.

Buddy, the S2 was THAT phone . And I still remember times of Siyah and other owesome things. The S2 was a perfect phone for this time. Damn... You got me with this point .

Yeah, it all went down from that point on flashing haha. The S2 also had its great rooting exploits with Gingerbreak, ExynosAbuse, FramaRoot and a ton more lol.

[Q] Hard Bricked S3 Verizon 4.4.2

ON: Galaxy S3 4.4.2 Verizon(d2vzw) -->OK, I know you all may think I didn't read the other debrick threads, your wrong. I made this new thread because i HAVE tried endlessy every method of debrick on this forum and the internet, and no success. I was messing around with safestrap and decided to try and flash a rom called flashingdroid: for some reason. So i did as usual, boot into recovery(safestrap 3.75) and wipe current os and flash the new one. So i wiped my stock rom(after making a backup) and installed/flashed the new one(flashingdroid) and after seemingly a successful flash, i pressed reboot. Then it went downhill. One second after i pressed reboot, the screen flashed quickly, then shutoff, for good. I couldn't boot it or get into recovery or odin or ANYTHING. I tried the microsd method of debricking with minimal success. It will only give me one vibration, then black scree with that method. Nothing else has worked. I know this was a noob mistake somehow, but does anyone know any special tricks or something? Will a good jig maybe work? I have doubt verizon or samsung will accept it back(it was well rooted!). Please anything/anybody help! I really don't want to buy a new phone or jtag it. Thanks!:crying:
You may have read the debrick threads, but what you should have done from the beginning was read and pay attention to which forum you were in. You flashed a ROM for the International version of the S3 onto your Verizon S3. You almost certainly turned your phone into a shiny paper weight. JTAG may be your only hope. If you don't have one, check out mobiletechvideos.com. I'm not familiar enough with safestrap to know if that may have actually saved you since it is not a traditional recovery and I don't know if it touches all the partitions. In the future, research, research, and research, and pay very close attention to exactly what you are flashing onto your phone. For the Verizon S3, you should only flash ROMs from this sub-forum. And when using safestrap, you are restricted to only flashing ROMs with the same build number as what your phone is currently on in a stock condition.
Ok...Thanks

Confused About What's Possible for Modding a Stock Verizon S3
Can someone please steer me in the right direction? I have a Verizon Galaxy S3 running 4.4.2 stock. I recently rooted my phone, but I realize I am very limited as to any mods I can make due to the locked bootloader. Am I able to modify my OS in some way at all (Safestrap) to make my phone run better, or am I just too late in going about this? I've read so much on this subject, but the more I read, it seems the more confused I get. I want to be careful not to brick my phone and would love to see some precise directions on what I could do. Thanks a million for any help at all!

It's hard to compare this forum with the others. I believe the people here are the most knowledgeable and, like you, very helpful. Funny enough, or not, I posed a related question on another site (initials AC), and it took over 150 views and a week later before anybody offered a reply. Anyway, I can see there is lots of information on this forum about xposed, so now I'll go and learn as much as I can about it. Thanks again for your help!

I've been around the web going on nearly 20 years and I'd have to agree some are more helpful than others. I find xda to be a great resource for anything android or windows phone related. And yes I agree some are a lot more helpful than others. The guys and gals still lurking around the VZW S3 forums have been here since the beginning for this phone and even though mine is no longer active I still use it daily, mostly for games but will probably never give it up. It was my first true (I'm comparing it to the HTC thunderbolt) android phone

I seem to have gotten into big trouble - I hope there's a solution. I learned all about Xposed and installed it along with about a dozen modules. Everything was working great, except the torch/flashlight... [I wanted that! ] so, I saw a download for a module on this forum to fix the flashlight... http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/xposed-flashlight-fixer-fix-devices-t2867267 . Well, since doing that, I think I realized that I should have left the flashlight alone! When I tried to reboot after adding the module to xposed, I ended up in what i believe is a boot loop. The Samsung screen comes on, and then it gets stuck on the red Verizon screen. I never dreamed that a module installation could cause this; and I guess I figured if it ever happened I could get into recovery mode and restore everthing. Btw, I had done a complete backup of my phone using Titanium on my sd card.
So, here's what I can/can't do now. I can push "down-volume-button" + home + power to get to screen where you can download a cusom OS - then pushing volume-up-button goes to screen that says "Downloading...Do not turn off target!! (Nothing seems to happen from here.) - - - I cannot enter recovery mode by pressing "volume-up" + home + power keys. When I do that I get the big yellow triangle with message - System software not authorized...go to nearest Verizon store. hmmmm.... So, am I hard bricked or soft bricked? Do I have a way out? Thanks very much for any help with this!

Instead of odin, you could try using samasung kies 3 and use its emergencey firmware recovery tool which dl's and intalls the correct, latest firmware on your device.
What you do:
Install kies 3 on your computer.
Boot to odin mode on your phone.
Click on tools in kies.
Select emergency firmware recovery option.

Shapes Blue & Root Wizard,
Thanks much for your replies. Is it possible for me, having had 4.4.3 on phone, to go to 4.3 instead of 4.4.2? Seems some people think that's an advantage, but I'm not sure. If I did do that, could I still run xposed?
Btw, RW, I tried using your idea, but when I was attempting to do the emergency Firmware Recovery, it asked for a computer code...??? So, that method doesn't seem to be a good route for me, but thanks for the tip!
You guys don't know how happy I am to have you come to the rescue! I've been using an old iPhone 4 for calls, etc.... during the day which I don't like at all! I'll be real glad to get back to AndroidLand. Thanks again!!!

I'm 100% sure the last update on the VZW S3 was 4.4.2 NE1. As long as you can root the phone you should be able to run xposed without an issue
And no you cannot downgrade to anything other than what your currently on

Unlocked T-Mobile Note 5 not getting signal

Hello everyone!
I bought a Unlocked note 5 like a week ago and it was working perfect I was using it with At&t, since I root every phone I buy I decided to root this one, after rooting; the phone started rebooting by itself ( I used Max's High on android root process ) since it was buggin me out and rebooting too many times I decided to flash another stock image ( being this 6.0 Marsmallow test http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmo...eral/note-5-t-mobile-marshmallow-tar-t3250744 ) to see if it fixed the issue, gues what? it didn't! And on top of that I got this message:
"Security Error: This phone has been flashed with unauthorized software & is locked. Call your mobile operator for additional support. Please note that repair/return for this issue may have additional cost"
So it gave me the option to restart, I did, but I had signal and my messages were coming through, after it rebooted ( by itself ) like a 3rd time I stopped getting signal, when I have my at&t sim in it stays (Searching), I've tried everything I can think of, Changing apn's, I downgraded to 5.1.1 Stock and still get the same Security Error and still have no signal.
Please anyone that can help me, I've never had this issue when rooting any other phone, does this have a fix?

Crap my bad. Note 4 was last device I had before this. COD6 was pretty popular and most likely still is. Good thing you caught that! @TEKHD has a thread that has instructions on how to Odin the latest firmware for the Note 5. It's in the General section I believe. Do a full wipe first though before you flash with Odin.
Oh yeah, and I advise staying away from the Marshmallow Beta build for now.

Flashed wrong recovery, TOUCHSCREEN IS FLIPPEd

Hello, i have a Samsung Galaxy S6 U.S. Cellular. Sm 920R4 i believe. Anyways, i was trying to flash TWRP Recovery. When after i did, my device rebooted and took me to the TWRP recovery screen. Expected. But my Touchscreen wouldnt work. So this happened 2 days ago but im still trying to fix it. i decided to try some different versions of TWRP. Well, one of them worked but it reversed my touchscreen. So i managed to get into my os, BACKWARDS. I have been using everything backwards including the keyboard and its driving me nuts. I attempted to flash my stock recovery and stock firmware via odin. Odin says "failed" every tiume i try to flash it, so i moved the zip to my s6, and it still doesn't work. if fails. I dont know what to do. Someone, anyone, please help me. I recently tried flashing a rom and it turned out to be the rom that makes the s6 look like the s6 edge plus. Well, i didnt copy down my imei or serial number before doing it. So i cant use smart switch. I really need someone to just help me out. Even if its just a tweak or something to flip the screen back to normal. Someone please help me. BTW, the secret codes havent worked for me to update the screen. Maybe im doing something wrong, but at the moment the phone doesnt have service

This might not work If you have modified rom, or you will waste a lot of time reverting to stock and back.
Just try flashing a different kernel. I had the same problem and it worked for me.

I have a Custom ROM and it worked for me. Just flashing another Kernel didn't work for many users who tried that and this (on my link) worked for everybody.
Sam-g920r4
do not tell me where you can take the firmware service (4 files and PIT) for G920R4

How do you mean that they don't work? Nothing happen when you dial them? Do you have custom ROM or did you unabled or uninstall any of the sistem apps?
How about the twrp app. If you have root access you can change the version of twrp

So I flashed a rom-upgrade type thing that makes the phone look like an s6 edge plus
If i had my imei i would be fine but i dont have it
The codes dont work, typed and retyped them a million times
What rom could i flash to have access to the codes, and what kernel to fix the x axis did you flash? a quick reply would help a lot. Thanks for your time. I do appreciate a lot. And yes ive tried smart swith and odin with stock firmware. It fails. I only have one file that i was flashing though. Maybe there was more.

Your S/N and IMEI are written on the back of your phone, barely visible. Nearly at the bottom

How to update an outdated bootloader J710fn?

Hello,
I have two j7 2016 fn. One is mine one for repair. I recognized that there is a bootlogo difference. The onw which works has a thin powered by android line while the one with touch problems has a bold android. So I guess there I have an outdated bootloader on that phone. How can I update?

Yes I already tried
But smartswitch said that the phone does not allow data transfer via usb.
I can't use touch. Every rom I flashed does not make the touchscreen work.
I saw on youtube that some said to get back to marshmallow. But I heard that could lead to loosing the imei.
What should I do?
