how to root samsung galaxy fit s5670 gingerbread 2.3.6 ddkti indian version..

hey guys.please tell me how to root my samsung galaxy fit S5670 running android gingerbread 2.3.6 version(DDKT1)...i really want to install custom ROMs on my phone..

Rename to update.zip
Place it in your sdcard main directory
Boot into recovery mode (Home Key + Power)
Choose Apply update and select the file.

sorry for annoing, but is it possible to use that on [ROM] S5670XWKT2 [31.11.2011][Android 2.3.6]

dude, it was for ddkt1..... read properly before flashing a ROM ffs.
Now connect your phone in download mode and flash a stock GB ROM via ODIN.

When you installed Cyanogenmod, the ROM will be rooted.

Download Cyanogenmod 7.1, it copy to the SD card, go into CWM Recovery, Select "install from sd", select .zip Cyanogenmod 7.1, then OK, wait to finish installation, restart and wait until the system boot. It may take several minutes.
When it installed Cyanogenmod, it is rooted. Check the application and if there has Superuser, that's it.

i have performed this rooting .. but i want to make my FIT even more faster.. so, can i install cyanogenmod 7.1 in my phone? Please help me out with this!!

if u want ur fit to go faster u have to overclock it. thats very easy. just get a rom which has nofrillsCPU or something like that then u can increase ur Mhz.

[Q] Any D801 users still using the 4.4.4 Mahdi Rom?

Used this rom forever until recently flashing some new Lollipop roms to play around with. Ended up not really liking the new roms, and wanted to restore back to Mahdi. Unfortunately, I was a complete idiot and didn't make a backup. The Mahdi thread is cclosed, and the downloads no longer work. Anyone out there able to help me out? Thank you!

You cannot flash because you are now on lollipop baseband and boot loader. Try kdz back to 20 g...... May have to go back further than that.... As far as download links i don't know i have the required files backed up on my computer

Thanks for the reply. I'm now back on 20g, so if someone still has the downloads on their cpu (rom and d801 patch) then I'd be good to go.

Though I have not tried yet, you can try flashing a custom recovery temporarily and then flash a supersu zip . But always keep a safety way back to flash your stock rom back.

Custom room is not yet available for this device... And the stock recovery doesn't read storage...

Sorry I meant a custom recovery as no rom is available as of now. You can create a custom recovery with some recovery-maker like carliv, philz, twrp etc. But with same precautions.

OK thanks mate... I will try to make recovery now. Because I want my device rooted asap. Can I flash supersu zip through my stock recovery??

No. You have to flash it via flashing apps available in playstore e.g flashify etc. But as I mentioned you should have the back up method as many times the phone can get stuck in boot. It is called soft brick. So find out how to flash the stock rom back, drivers,etc.

Congrats friend. Post the method in our thread. It will help every one.
I have not found any custom Rom for it. Of course recovery can be created using Philz, TWRP and other methods.
Custom rom will have to be created by porting different roms. It is a tedious job and needs a standby mobile

There is a guy at NJOY tv channel in youtube who claims to have rooted and has twrp recovery, but I have not verified it.

Like I said I've not tried it out yet. There is one Stock rom at needrom.com also. There is a risk factor which we have to take.
Twrp is the next step. The twrp set up is automatic. Once your device is rooted the set up uses adb and creates a twrp recovery and flashes it. Later you can get the recovery file by adb methods .

These root methods work in some cases. After lollipop, it became difficult.
I can't give you any specific time , but I will do it once I have a standby mobile. So, just hope it happens soon.

I downloaded the twrp.img file from enjoy tv youtuber. Used mininal adb followed the process, it went well till the end.
but my recovery was unchanged.no root excess

Hi there my name is param and I have one plus one device which run cm13 latest.
I just want to install lineage os experimental but for that I ve to root my device and here is the prob that I don't know proses how to root I m not technical expert who do easily .

If you have cm13 your device is rooted.

At least you can search before asking..
Root is not necessary to flash roms,all you've to do is unlock your bootloader through fastboot and flash recovery and then flash any rom you want.

TWRP ported for yu ace

I proudly presents twrp img for yu ace 3gb-32gb...fully working....the only problem is forced encryption....it is recommended to unlock bootloder (which wipes data) and flash both magisk enabled boot img and recovery img together....then reboot .....lock the bootloader(which also wipes data again) to remove the orange state warning....links are below

It should work for 2gb version....cause I flashed 2gb version's boot and recovering in my device....and it worked fine.....I want to try gsi images....but I don't know my devices treable compatibility....A or B or AB.....can you tell me...?

Thank-you............ for this suggestion........... tried that GSI. ...ended up in losing the fingerprint and face unlock and stuck in bootloop
