Honor 8 FRD-AL00 (China) was stuck after trying to update in France...

Hi, 10 days ago my sister got her Honor 8 (FRD-AL00) china version, she didn't when she ordered it, Stuck after trying to apply a OTA update...
She going to a Huawei center at Paris and they can't help because is a china version ! So I found a lot of people who got the same problem (with china version or not) and it very not serious from Honor to got this king of critical problem.
So I try the RollBack method to Marshmallow and after 30 attempts it still was not sucessfull, I can't rollBack. So I tried to flash with a chinese ROM and after hours searching I found a Chinese STOCK "EMUI 5.0 [7.0] FRD-C00-B368 FullOTA-MF-PV". I installed it with the SD card and dload directory and YES, the phone is work again yeah !
BUT now when I go to phone informations I got this :
Model number : FRD-L19
Build number : NRD90M test-keys
EMUI Version : 5.0
Android Version : 7.0
How it was possible to my phone become a L19 version (EU) after flashing with a China ROM ? And le build number seem to be a test version while a seem used "EMUI 5.0 [7.0] FRD-C00-B368 FullOTA-MF-PV" ??
- My sister live in France so do exist any way to install an EU Rom to get futur OTA update ?
- How can I found a really lastest Chinese Stock rom ?
- Can I and how to make a reset factory / recovery to get back the original ROM version if it still possible ?

try this
i have same problem but now im ok back to nougat L19C636B360 firmware
1. use rollback method try this site >> https://www.getdroidtips.com/downgra...t-marshmallow/ use force update method volumeup+volumedown+power button
2. after you rollback to MM EMUI 4.1 L19C900B131 now download the firmware L19C636B130 just search where u can find it then force update again.
3. your buildnumber is now L19C636B130 you will receive now OTA update L19C636B360 nougat EMUI 5.0
4. after you update to nougat theres another OTA update its L19C636B380 thats the Bricker update dont update!
just stay on stable firmware L19C636B360 for now

the Link for downgrade don't work, is it the article who tell to download "Honor 8 Rollback Package For NEM-L22" to make the roll Back ?
If is this, I already try maybe 30 time to rollBack.... when the installation is ending, I reboot to a black screen asking downloading the last firmware.... If the rollBack Work I must be return to a normal OS screen ?
You got a chinese Phone too (FRD-AL00) ?

I have exactly the same problem. No support from Honor in Europe. I try to install differente firmware version: no success (bad version number or failed at 5% when USB is connected).
They is no download available on chineese website !

Same issue with my phone as well, Honor 8 FRD-AL00, this is chinees android and i got this in India, And found no google services in this phone as google is not working in China, So searched for english version of Adroid but same Honor customer care refused to help on this.
I tried manually install play service and play store, but google service like play store, Map, Youtube doesn't work some time.

You can rebrand your honor 8 to indian variant..

I use mate 8 L29c636b180, version 6 android, i have updated firmware with fimware finder in android 7 version NRD 90M Test- keys, but bluetooth error, now i want to go back to old version please help me or have tutorial article .
I have done the following steps, after installing rollback is like this.
The L29C636B180 can not be found on the internet. I installed the L29C636B211, ..330 all failed at 5%
The phone was open but I had a hard time getting into google verification using google voice because there was no keyboard.
The current version of this android rollback does not have a keyboard, clock, notes, software update button.
At start an appear error "your device has failed verification and may not work properly "
Not have factory reset

hello, i put update.app in the dload folder ... does my phone already works but it fails to apply the theme. although it does "apply the theme". I fix it by unlocking the bootloader and flash userdata.img but still can not fix it.

I can't use my phone.
It's about one week I am trying to find the right firmaware for my phone honor 8 FRD - AL10.
can someone help me to download this one and to fix this phone

Go Download Firmware Finder In Play Store And Find Your Model. Do NOT Download Firmware That Are Not Approved Yet Whrn Selecting A Firmware. You Could Update If You Stock Recovery With The DNS Thing When Selecting A Firmware. Do Not Update Your Device With The One That Are Like Less Than 1GB, You Should Update With One That Says Around 2-3 GB

Put Down FRD-AL10 And Then Put Down Your Keyboard And Press "OK", It Will Pop Up

Stock firmware plz

software upgrade problem

I recently tried to upgrade my phon to emui 11.I tried to do it manually.But software upgrade was not successful.
Now phone is not booting it's upgraded to emui 11.0.0.151 but saying some messages and going in to erecovery mode.
i went to many professionals but everyone was failed.
Please help me to get out of this horrible situation!!!

you update manually via SDcard or what ?
i bet u didnt know what type firmware on your phone and the type of firmware that u download before u update *according to pic 3
first of all, huawei have many version of EMUI 11 for Mate 30 pro for many region....
so u must check "Base software version" in your phone and matching it with the firmware database... then download and flash it to your phone via SDcard/HISUITE
example.. my phone has base software version called "LIO-LGRP2-OVS 11.0.0.151"
if i want to downgrade/manually upgrade, i must search firmware with code "LIO-LGRP2-OVS"
how to access/search base software version ?
dial *#*#2846579#*#* > veneer information > version info
try watch this

i checked my region..base version and everything...i used to downgrade through hi suite...but this time...it was failed.and bricked my phone!!

there is another method for huawei called dload.. it is through otg or nm card...but don't know if that works fr huawei mate 30 pro...hi suite method is mostly used.

that does not update and does not jump in any way I am still in 10.1

and my CUST package is 11.0.0.8 (C301)
i think yours is similar to mine

because the firmware finder is no longer working now

HiProxy Downgrade caused rebooting

Hi guys,
Happy new year to all of you.
So... My story :
I downgraded my ELS-NX9 via HiProxy , but i accidentally choose LGRP6 instead of LGRP4 and voila (10.1.0.136(C432E8R6P1)) - my phone was stuck on boot logo.
Then , somehow i managed to turn it on , but the side effects:
Restarting on every 30 seconds.
No IMEI
No Base software version
No Cust software version
eRecovery failed to get the package info
No sound.
What i've tried:
I've tried to put another software via OTG cable , i downloaded the software from Firmware Finder, but it's says that the update package has not been found.
Then i've downloaded another software with dload from Easy-Firmware (10.1.0.131(C432E8R6P1)). but it's says The version is incompatible with the current one.
Any ideas how can i fix this mess ?

If eRecovery isn't working I think you might need to visit the huawei store. To my understanding, eRecovery is the kirin version of Qualcomm download mode, aka your last line of defense.

Inside of dload folder do you have update_sd_base.zip + ELS-N29_hw_eu folder ?

I though you downloaded firmware for C432 location (hw/eu) but according your prints was for C185 (hw/meafnaf)

That's the point mate , the current firmware is C432 but when i try to install C432 i'm receiving error incompatibility with the current version

Similar issue with me.Any one can help me on that

I'm trying another firmware now and if it's not working i'm sending my phone for repair , it seems that's the only way, as basically my phone does not have Cust version and Base version which is the most important thing when you are updating , as the update package is checking first if the Base and Cust version are similar to the ones from the update package.
