I'm on Oreo rooted. I see a lot of u guys with unique & great status bars. I don't need aosp status icons.
What methods, substratum themes do u use to modify the status bar icons & their positions?
I also need a way to display WiFi network speed icons
The following substratum theme can be used to modify statusbar icons. Personally, i'd like to use flux as its the closest to stock android.
1) Statusbar Icons for Samsung
2) Valerie
3) Yoru
4) Flux
5) Victory
As for the network speed, that's a CSC tweak which you can add to your csc by modifying the cscfeature.xml. Go to /system/omc/yourcsc
This is the code for it "<CscFeature_Setting_SupportRealTimeNetworkSpeed>TR UE</CscFeature_Setting_SupportRealTimeNetworkSpeed>".
Hit the thumbs up if i helped in anyway.

Many thanks! Victory is the only one so far that allows you to move the clock to the left.
I also found this for iOS dots signal: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+/themes/substratum-t3740749
I wanted a way to make the network speed (screenshot) smaller:

Why don't u just use a custom rom like Minotaurus which already has all these features since you're rooted anyways.
Sorry for the question but how did you get that navbar?

I was just wondering if someone could tell me where the icons to all the applications are placed.
Some icons are bad, and some are most likely not made for HD2, so I want to change them.
And therefore I ask if this is possible, and if there exists an icon file.
You can use CSMI to change the icons one by one.
Or better still, you can just install this wonderful cab by DINIK to instantly replace 100 icons with these (highly recommended!):
{

You can change them with a registry edittor:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Security\Shell\StartInfo\Start\ xxx.lnk]
"Icon"="\\Windows\\yyy.png"
where xxx.lnk = the Start Menu link
and yyy.png = the icon you want to use
After that, clean the cache:
Phone/Application data/HTC/ProgLauncher/*.bmg
is there a directory where you can find all the icon ico files?
I try to make my theme but I have a problem.

Small preview of the theme I working
I have also % of battery and trackball wakeup (thanks to eug89 for compile java)
that top grey part is called title_bar_portrait.9.png and is located on framework-res.apk. the part you want to make transparent is called status_bar_background.png and is also located in framework-res.apk
not sure if you have edited .9.pngd before but it you have to do more than just replace the image for it to look right. also im not sure if that part can be made transparent in froyo as i am currently having trouble with it. however if your making the theme for CM just adjust the transparency in photoshop, gimp etc
hope that helped
Have anybody get the status_bar_background.png transparent on FroYo ROMS?
Ok.
So the problem is froyo

i dont think so. froyo doesnt seem to allow the image to have any transparency
Theres a Xeudoxus app that patches services.jar to enable that transparency. Didn't find exact details as too which particular file (s) are affects (for morphs). I hate when people do that (hiding details ), I will investigate after work.
For more info see this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=700703
Thanks Britoso.
Now I have the theme with transparent.
Now I have to fix the bar "Notification" because are also trasparent.
Also I have to investigate why It have some crash when I use metamorth for apply theme.
edit.
perfect all I want.
I have only investigate for crash when using metamorph.
Thx britoso from that other thread and xuedoxus for the app
finally got it working on my theme(frf91)

Hi guys and girls, I have a tf101 and woud like to be able to make the status bar transparent like the one in this HD2 mod:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1031106
Is this something that can be done? If so please help by posting a how to, if already done please post a link to the right thread to goto.
Thanks,
Dan
That is for cyanogen mod 7...
The status bar isn't even handled the same way in honeycomb.
Is it possible on the transformer (or any other honeycomb device)?
Maybe, that method won't work though, it was done (most likely) by making an image transparent, I don't think the status bar background in honeycomb is an image (could be wrong here) but in the code somewhere instead.
And I know it isn't in the same location...
Good luck finding a honeycomb version of this, it would be a cool mod, but unlikely.
You may be able to create a theme with transparent images for the taskbar, this can be done using any version of photoshop.

These aren't status bar backgrounds. The pcb background is part of the actual button/notification. I know because I've pulled this theme apart and looked at the images.
Guys I really need this. I am ex Samsung user so all samsung phones have this. I used to it. There are some apps on google play but they are not good at all. Can anyone do this? For dual sim support. If yes, I can share systemUI.apk. Thanks!
Open the notifications shade and click the right most button.

I dont think you understood what I want. That option is not so useful.
I know what you mean. AOSP has two separate tabs for notifications and quick toggles. Samsung uses an overlay called TouchWiz that, among other things, integrates these two tabs into one.

He mean this one form cyanogenmod.

Yes I am using this one but I will wait for mod I hope somebody will do it.
Anyway to get right clock like in Oreo back?? And also anyway to get nav bar buttons back and not use gestures? I can root if I have to or anyway is fine! Let me know thanks
Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
You can get the button NAV back without root following this XDA tutorial: https://www.xda-developers.com/disable-android-pie-gestures-google-pixel-3/
But I don't think there is any way to get the clock back on the right. If you really don't like the clock on the left; you can remove it altogether from the left via the system UI tuner, but then you have no clock at all in your status bar.
There are some Substratum themes that can do that including my Translucent Substratum Theme which moves it to the right hand side.

nothing on stock?
Also interested in putting clock back to where it belongs
If you are rooted and have TWRP than the Tulsa mods can adjust the clock.
Check out my retro look in the attached screenshot.

I like the centered clock. Finally makes use of that wasted space in the middle since Android Pie doesn't use it.
