Failed to mont /vendor, /product - Honor 8 Questions & Answers

Hello,
I would first like to apologize for my very approximate English.
My problem is the following, my Honor 8 is completely blocked, I can no longer install any Rom.
I find myself with two error :
- Failed to mont /vendor
- Failed to mont /product
If one person had the solution to this problem, it would help me a lot.
I thank you in advance for answering.

I have the same problem. I can't install any ROM, even custom.

Download the 70mb package for firmware downgrade and the latest marshmallow firmware from your regional huawei's website.
Extract the small package and put the .app file in a folder called dload on the SD card and insert it in your phone.
Boot by holding volume + volume - and pressing power, holding all 3 buttons until the phone vibrates.
The package will flash and afterwards you repeat the process, this time using an .app file from the full marshmallow firmware.
The 70mb package installs not matter how messed up your file system is, and makes your phone ready for the MM firmware. This process brings any brick back to life. Good luck.

MT7-L09V100R00B137 Can't seem to upgrade to Android 5

Hi all, I need to update to Android 5 so I can run the App for my Blood glucose meter. Been a while since I did this sort of thing. I dowloaded the B308 Firmware here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-7/general/firmware-mt7-l09c900b317-android-t3191174 but it fails during load. I've no idea what to do now...any ideas?
You should download the appropriate firmware for your region, after unzipping the firmware file you will find a folder called "dload" (the folder contains a file called "UPLOAD.APP", that's the actual firmware).
Copy that folder into your internal phone memory.
Now in your phone go to settings->updater, search for "local update" or something like that. The phone will then detect the firmware and flash it.
But to be clear I'm not 100% sure about the steps above, I did it that way and worked fine for me.
I updated from kitkat 4.4 directly into marshmallow 6.0
I'm not sure what region my phone was originally. I bought it off Ebay in the UK The build number is MT7-L09V100R001C00B137 I tried the one in the link which seemed similar and applied it much as you state, except I didn't unzip the file as most instructions say to leave it as Zip. There are no Letters after the build number which I understand normally show the region.

I think there is two ways to update, one is "OTA" update in which you download a *.zip file and flash it through recovery, you need to be on a specific build (the number after the "b" letter) to flash a specific new build. I don't know if this method eraes the storage or not because I haven't tried it before. It's easier than flashing the complete firmware.
According to the link in your first post, download the B317 build and flash it in recovery.
The other method is to flash the whole new firmware, (which was the method I used to update my device). Because with this method you just flash a 2 Gb file which has everything.
If you want to flash the whole firmware, see below.
If you live in the UK download the European firmware. See this link:-
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-7/general/huawei-mt7-l09-l10-stock-firmware-ota-t3275784
In the link you can find the lollipop(5.1) and marshmallow(6.0) updates. Download the one you want, but of course the marshmallow(6.0) is the newer and better one.
Also there is "Full" and "OTA" versions of the update, download the "Full" not the "OTA". Also pay attention to the model number (Yours is MT-L09)
After downloading the file, put the "UPDATE.APP" file in the "dload" folder.
You can create that folder either on the SD Card or the phone's internal storage.
Now go to Settings->update and look for "local update" or something like that.
If you can't find that option then use the alternative method which is:- (power off the device, press the "volume down" + "volume up" + "power on" keys all on the same time, after you see the Huawei logo release the "power on" key and keep pressing the other two for 5 seconds or so).
But remember, this method of update will ERASE (delete) the phone's internal storage including apps, pictures, contacts...etc. So store a backup on your PC before updating.

How to root samsung galaxy a8(sm-a8000) chinese and install google playstore

Hello guys!
Today i am going to show you how to root samsung galaxy A8(mentioned above) install twrp and then lastly install playstore on it without any troubles!
The problems i faced was so much critical and step by step i faced bugs and fixed them accordingly.
so we come to main topic now.
first of all reset your phone. thats because a frash phone is always perfect. btw non resetted phone also works here.
1) Now download the app in the link below called CROM_Service. open it and just wait it will unlock your bootloader.
2) Now u need drivers. download them also in the link and install on your windows 10 pc. Boot your phone in download mode by pressing home+volume down+power button. in chinese font screen press volume up and then connect you phone with pc using a fairly working usb 2.0 cable.
3) Now download CF_ROOT in the link below and and put in your worling folder better name that folder your phone name cause we always work in this folder. extract files in there. Now open Odin in that foler as admin and click AP and load the md5 file in same folder. and click start. this will flash root and restart device with a modified kernal.

Hello, I'm not sure whether this is the right place for my problem but I will give it a try. I have a problem with TWRP recovery on sm-a8000 Chinese version.
Every time I try to flash any zips it fails.
Error 70 failed to mount preload (invalid argument ) I can't do factory reset either in . I'm able to root the phone and the phone works normally except for the custom recovery.
I tried to do factory reset in original recovery and it worked.
My aim is to install Google play apps.
Here are some pictures of the recovery result. My internal memory is only 3Mb in the recovery but if I connect the phone to my computer it shows 10Gb free.
Any idea what's going on?
hey,did you hv any rom of that model (sm-A8000)?

Help needed ( i messed up ) flashing oreo mate9

Hello I was wandering if someone can help me.
I just want the phone to go back to normal.
I just got the mate9 My model is MHA-L29 and thought I would have a look at whats available on roms since I flashed my s7 before I thought it would be good to improve the phone.
I wanted to get oreo. So i followed a guid got my phone unloacked and put twrp. Followed the scrip hwota8. The installation didnt finish. After I reset the phone from the recovery option.
Now I have
Model: M300-L29
System 5.0.1.042(00KA)
My themes are not working and ram is 2GB plus my storage is showing 16GB total everything else I think is ok.
I tried reflashing oreo using https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-mate-9-flash-oreo-update-package-t3699522
D. Create "HWOTA8" directory in MTP sdcard.
E. Put hwota8_update.zip, MHA_RECOVERY8_NoCheck.img, and three huawei update package (update.zip, update_data_public.zip, and update_all_hw.zip) files into "HWOTA8" directory.
F. TWRP install sdcard hwota8_update.zip, it will reboot and install update automatically.
but in TRWP it flashes for 2 seconds and then restarts and nothing changed.
Does anyone know what I can do to fix this spend the last 8 hours like an idiot to fix this.

[Hisense A5C] Customizer and Gapps R02 - include original recovery

you can root with A5C customizer R02
include original recovery package
you can recover original partition with `a5c_original_6.01.04.B5` (qfil in edl mode)
and apply TF package (hisense SD card updater)
https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=19DB5749F1E9151C!5935&authkey=!AJ5IfzAYRv4ZAts&e=0ihAAA
system version should same (version is folder name) or bricked.
install method same and gapps can download below link.
[a5 root & gapps ]
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/hisense-a5-root-gapps-customizer-t4097951
So this works just as easy as with the A5?
Just curious because I've done it on the A5 and am thinking of getting an A5C seeing no luck with getting Google on the Pro or Pro CC yet.
So I got the A5C. Can confirm this works.
Are there newer versions around @joygram?
I bricked the A5C. Anyone knows how can I get the ROM to flash without a Chinese number from the hinsensfans forums thread with this title?

I upload the Stock ROM with OneDrive, but I can't post the link (XDA policy, I'm new on xda).
I use it to upgrade an Hisense A5 (b/w) in an Hisense A5C (color).
Hardware model is the same: HLTE202N.
Also I think it's possible to use this software to do a factory reset on a smartphone that is already an A5C.

Here the Upgrade method:
Use T card to upgrade.
(1) precautions for upgrade:
1. The upgrade operation will clear all non-factory preset user information in the mobile phone. Please transfer important information in advance.
2. Be sure to ensure that the battery is sufficient. It is recommended that the battery should have at least 50% of the battery to avoid power interruption during the upgrade process, resulting in upgrade failure.
(2) preparation before upgrading T card:
1. Prepare a TF card, first format the TF card into FAT format;
2. Decompress the downloaded software version (generally a compressed package, which is divided into multiple compressed subpackages), and copy the obtained folder named "HLTE202N_TF" to the root directory of the TF card;
3. Put the TF card into the mobile phone and put the battery into the mobile phone. Confirm that the battery power is more than 50%, if the battery power is low, please charge first;
(3) T-card upgrade process
1. Press and hold the "volume +" and "volume-" side keys at the same time, and then press the power-on key. The mobile phone will automatically enter the T-card upgrade mode to upgrade. If the mobile phone does not enter the T-card upgrade mode, repeat this operation after shutdown.
2. Wait about 5 minutes for the upgrade to end. A message indicating successful upgrade will be displayed.
3. Restart according to the prompt after the upgrade is successful. If there is no such prompt, press the power-on key for more than 20 seconds to restart the machine. After the upgrade, it takes a long time to restart the machine for the first time, which is several times of the normal startup time, please wait patiently.
Ok. After getting my hands on the file from the upper link, and after a flawless flash through a micro sd card (8gb at least) i made a torrent file for the file. At the momment only my computer is seeding it so slow download, but if others care to download and seed, the file can be reachable easily.
Here is a small dropbox link to the torrent file, so you can download using a torrent client from my pc directly.
HLTE202N_L1657.6.01.04.B5.zip.torrent

After flashing this rom, the software would find some upgrades (maybe two or three upgrades, one after another) so you will get to a higher version with more control on the e-ink refresh rate.
I accidentally updated Magisk on my A5C and it's bricked.

I updated Magisk and it works fine.
Can I trouble you for a new version that functions with 6.07.02 firmware? The updated screen controls in the new firmware are really useful and it's a shame that I have to choose between gapps and the new software.
Can someone help me?
I am not able to flash the TF Card update to restore my Hisense A5C. I always get failed to parse bin head.

I already tried different SD Cards. I have a working Google Version Rom which I can flash with MiFlash. But when I flash the "Original" vbmeta and boot from the root package and then try TF Card update. I always get this error.

Help, I bricked my SM-G930F

Hi All
Its been a long time since I have been on here... but decided to have a play with my UK unlocked Galaxy S7... cant remember if it shipped unlocked, of if I got it carrier unlocked at the end of my contract... also cant remember which carrier, probably EE or O2 (UK).
I started by installing TWRP and then loaded the Lineage 19.1 O/S which was great - I then tried to add BitGApps but it kept saying it couldnt load... when I looked at the storage available in TWRP it only showed the external micro SD card... so I did some research and read that if you boot into TWRP and try Wipe > Advance Wipe > Data and repair File System, this sometimes resolves the issue... it didnt - so it then said to change file system to Ext2 then back to Ext4... I did this and lo and behold the system partition was visible to TWRP. So I tried installing Gapps again and it still failed. So, I rebooted and again the system partition wasnt visible... so I tried to switch to Ext2 then back to Ext4 again, but accidentally selected ExFAT - since then I have been the proud owner of a brick.
So, far I have tried to reinstall the stock firmware (downloaded XEU and BTU from Samobile - extracted the AP/BL/CP and CSC not HOME!) files using Odin... but it seems to do nothing. I have tried a few older versions of Odin, in case its compatibility. I also ddecided I may have corrupted the partition table completely, so also downloaded a PIT file (HEROLTE_EUR_OPEN.pit) hoping that this would force a recreation of the partitions to allow a re-install... but alas no.
I have also read that Odin had issues with the LZ4 package in the archive structure... so to extract all the files and recreate the package... but when I use 7zip to extract the files it says there is an error and some extra data is found at the end of the archive and when you get to the point you extract the LZ4 archives it just fails The instructions I am followng are here - Fix LZ4 error in Odin
So, I am guessing that I possibly have wrong files, versions of Odin etc... so I would be grateful if someone can offer any help as my s7 is a great phone, which I use as my work mobile!
Many thanks
OK - managed to fix it... I thought that the only thing I hadnt tried was to reflash TWRP to the AP - so I tried this and it succeeded... from there I was able to reflash Lineage 19.1 O/S from the microSD card... so now I just need to try and get GApps working
