got the ultra for my s6 and i like it but the crystal shape and slimness is also appealing..
Thin Fit is out of question not enough lip on the front
I would go for the crystal one simply because it offers better protection. Hopefully they will do one for the z5 Premium as I'm looking to get the Z5 Premium when its released.

but it seems the ultra is the one with better protection
I'm debating as well. Would like someone to post a video review on the Spigen cases first.
I ordered an ultra from eBay but it seems like its going to be a few weeks before its going to be delivered.
Great. Keep us posted.
I got the Crystal case -- seems to warp the phone pretty nicely, the back is not pure clear, it has "dots" on it, so it makes it seem slightly cloudy (which I prefer tbh)
Nice can you post some pics for us?

I gotta be safe in the time being.:silly:
You can get these cases from Amazon as well
Xperia Z5 Case, Spigen® [Thin Fit] Exact-fit [Gunmetal] - Link
Xperia Z5 Case, Spigen® [Liquid Crystal] Ultra Thin Premium - Link
Xperia Z5 Case, Spigen® [Ultra Hybrid] AIR CUSHION [Crystal Clear] - Link
I bought the gunmetal one and should be getting it tomorrow (friday). Unfortunately I won't be receiving my Z5 until either Saturday or sometime next week. I will be sure to take pictures of the case once it gets here.
I managed to get the Thin Fit case in gunmetal.
It fits extremely well. There's no movement or creaking when pressure is applied. Unlike some other thin cases, this one gives a little protection to the bottom of the device aswell.
There is a small lip on the front. However, it's not massively clear in the attached images as I have the Spigen glass screen protector on my Z5 aswell.

Nice!! How do you like it so far? Was thinking about picking one up but I'm curious if the buttons are easily accessible, especially the fingerprint scanner.

Can't complain so far. Protection is minimal, but it's nice that it curves over the top and bottom of the device a little for some extra protection.
The buttons are about as good as they'll get with a case. The power button is more recessed than before, but doesn't impede operation in any way. You're just aware there's a case on when touching the fingerprint sensor as you can clearly feel the edges of the case.
It really feels like a premium case, which is often difficult to accomplish with a single piece plastic shell ?
Hybrid = > Safety
I have the ultra hybrid and its great!
I got the ultra hybrid as well.
For my other phones, I've always just gotten the slim fit case from Spigen but opted to change it up this time and I'm very happy with it
Also using the Hybrid here... very happy.
Can you hybrid people post some pics of the case on the phone please

still waiting for mine to arrive... how is the power button is it easy to click ? i have a moko clear tpu case and the button is a little hard to press sometimes
Just received my brown leather (fake or synthetic leather) Qin case for my Moto Z. First of all, it feels reallly great at hand for RM30 (about $9) including shipping to Malaysia.
It adds the necessary thickness to the Moto Z, making it perfect in terms of grip because i have always felt that the phone is too thin!
Installation is a breeze! The sides clip the phone perfectly in place and removal is not a problem as well. Some other cases can cause the side of the phone to scratch easily or leaves dirt in it but this one is just wonderful.
As for camera, the hum is gone as this case gives the additional thickness to it. Now you can lay the phone flat on a surface and worry no more for unnecessary tilts.
The only problem i have for this case is that it does not offer full body protection. Just like the Frost Series by Nillkin, the top side and bottom side are vulnerable to dents and unwanted damages because of the open areas.
Whats the purpose of revealing the pogo pins on the back? You can't use mods with this case. Seems odd.
In my opinion, phone case manufacturers had no idea what were the pins for when the dimensions of the phone have been released. To be safe than sorry, they left the pins uncovered.

Is this case still holding up for you? Where did you get it exactly, I have a moto z coming Thursday and I'd like something simple like this to go into the mass of options to swap out from time to time.

Nope, eventually this one just sits in my drawer. I have been using the Nillkin Frost. Check out my review somewhere here.
just wonder will this fits Moto Z Play or Moto Z Force? or just for the slim Z only?
Just the slim Z.
Hello everyone, sorry for opening new thread, but I have question. Do You know where can I find new bumper case (the same like one included with phone or other)? I want to have style shell on back, but I want to protect sides also, because It's hard to handle with phone like with egg for me.

Yeah the one included is pretty easily broken and is hard plastic but instead of TPU
Best of the best bumper here:
https://www.incipio.com/cases/smart...roid-cases/moto-z-droid-co-molded-bumper.html
(I own this one)
Other option would be the Verizon Two Tone bumper:

Thanks for answer. I have one more question - has anyone this ? IMO it looks terrible, but maybe is possibility of using it as bumper without back
The one from Incipio is the best for protect the phone but only works with the battery mod and the style mods, does not fit with the rest of the mods.
I used the Verizon bumper but it made some scratches arround the phone maybe due to the semi regid plastic, nevertheless it works with all mods (jbl, hasselblad and proyector.
Sent from my XT1650 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
It works also with the 1st Gen speaker (sometimes minor misalignment with the buttons) and if you're keen - I've put the turbo power mod also (with it the buttons are hard to press but I use the fingerprint for power on \off and Bluetooth for audio, so I don't really care )
I would like to ask those that bought it how is the bumper case faring for them?
Mine broke at the bottom (the USB cutout is after all the weakest park of it ) in less than 6 months. I swap mods a couple of times a day though ...

About 7 months on mine. Incipio was kind enough to ship a replacement.
I love the Moto Z but it's the slipperiest phone I've ever seen. I had an otterbox for my Moto X but the otterbox for the Moto Z doesn't line up properly. I have the basic model. Any suggestions?
I'm also having a problem finding screen shields, I've taken to buying the ones made for the Moto Z Force, close enough.

I buy my screen protectors ( tempered glass ones ) on Aliexpress and these fit perfectly ( no bubbles since they cover only the screen portion of the front width and not the curved glass ). They're brutally cheap when compared to 20$+ protectors and they're quite scratch-proof too.
As for cases, I also got a "carbon fiber" one on Aliexpress.
With those two the phone hit various floors several times without dying ( one screen protector cracked once ).
Here's the link to the screen protector:

I got a verizon bumper case on ebay and a black carbon fiber skin from dbrand, also a red carbon fiber skin protecting the camera lens.

Makes the z look pretty cool
I am thinking about buying Moto Z2 Play. But a holster is something I have become very accustomed to with my last three android phones, and not sure I want to give it up.
Are there any available holsters for this phone that will accomodate presence of a motomod such as the batterypack or even accommodate just the normal back cover with wireless charger?
I use this:
OneTigris MOLLE Phone Pouch for 4.7" 5.5" Phone with Slim Case
The Z2 play with the wireless charging shell is pretty loose in it, so I think that a battery mod would fit. It is a good price right now - $12.06.
Im all ready to buy the Xperia 5 III but Im just looking for a tempered glass protection.
Which do you recommend?
Nothing?
Maybe from Japan, designed for Xperia:

I'm wearing this one right now, a bit tricky to adjust for my taste, but tactile feeling is smooth:

One thing I hate about screen protectors is how hard they are to apply. Its one of the reasons I look for the best ones because they are usually worth it after applying.
I ordered two types from aliexpress, they both sucked.

The clear one had clarity issues and the cutouts did not make any sense.
The full coverage one had to be placed really high up the phone for it to line up, leaving a gap at the bottom and even then the holes did not line up correctly, blocking some of the sensors and part of the notification LED.
I use this one https://www.amazon.de/dp/B09FPBL9ZN/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_YME021WDPN1XK13G76NR?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Is very good, i used it for Sony z5, Sony xz Premium, Sony 5II and now for my Sony 5III. Very easy to apply it. But im from germany and i dont know of available for other countrys.
My girlfriend used it for here iPhone XR too

The screen is full covered, but Not the complete Front. Clarity is perfect, cutouts are perfect.
Went with Spigen
Mr. Shield was too narrow and I failed to install it straight enough, so it'd always leave part of the screen uncovered. Gave up on it.
I use Supershiedz that I get from Amazon. The fit and when the oleophobic coating wears off I put a new one on.
