Not sure where the data is kept but you could try using Titanium Backup and backup the app and data?

Give Titanium Backup another try. It is the most reliable local backup solution for many years for me. You can for sure practise how it works correctly with a single app first (as you asked for). You only need root via Magisk (supersu is dead) and you have all prerequisites to start. You even can start with the free version as you only want to save/restore a single app.

for your benefit i'm blunt:
try again TiBu, if you had bad experience you did something wrong, it'sTHE app for the purpose and 99.99% of all users will confirm, close to being a standard. it's worth to find what went wrong be happy for all times to come

Protected (AKA Most paid apps) reside in /data/app-private, which you can't access - yes, even read - without root permissions.
I'm not sure about Froyo's A2SD though...
Without root, the short answer is no.

I Was Thinking About It..... & If You Purchased The Apps From The Android Market, They're Kind Of Already Backed Up! If You Go To Market And Press Menu/My Apps, They Should Be There Weather Or Not You Still Have A App Installed!! If You Decided At An Point To Uninstall A Paid App, It'll Still Show Up In Market As Purchased Under Downloads/My Apps!!

If you associate a new Android phone with the same Google account the apps were purchased with, you can still download them without purchasing again. I'm on my 4th phone and still using apps I bought when I was using a G1.
If you really wanna backup protected apps and keep them on your computer hard drive or another SD card or something, here's how: http://theandroidsite.com/2009/11/22/how-to-backup-protected-and-paid-android-applications-for-root-users/

You can only do backup for the USER APPS (the app that you downloaded, like facebook, skype ecc.), and you can use titanium backup to do it

I saw on one of the ROM installation instructions that after you flash the ROM they say "Do not restore apps from TB"
Any idea why?

I already had installed Titanium Backup on my Nexus 5 but after changing to ART didnt worked any more cause it wasnt compatible, but okay so far no problem. But now i reflashed Cataclysm Rom (so no Titanium Backup installed) and Multiboot and so i wanted to backup my data for the second Rom but now i cant install Titanium Backup on my primary Rom, doesnt matter if i run in ART or change to DALVIK i even tried the newest version wich should run also with ART.
It shows every time the error it couldn't be installed, during installprocess.
If somebody has any idea what could help i would be very glad
Thanks for any reply

Hii , i have the same problem, but i cant find this lib file, please help
Wich file explorer do u use?
does your file explorer has root access?
if yes so go to /data/data/com.kermidas.TitaniumBackup and in this folder should be the .lib file.
this is the folder from your old TitaniumBackup so delete the whole folder and try it again to install.
i hope i could help u
Thanks a lot i found it... And the installation problem solved

Had same problem with LG G3 and solved. Thanks.
picking up an old thread because i have the same problem.
only - the remedy here didn't work for me.
there WAS some remnants of an old install at /data/data/com.kermidas.TitaniumBackup. i killed it, but no jive.
still - "application not installed."
any other pointers?
i am also have the same problem
all files and folders wich name have words "titanium" or "keramidas" deleted from data\app, data\app-lib, data\data
i leave just a folder with backups on sd
but it don't have effect, still can't install
well, i don't remember what exactly i did to get it to work, but i succeeded. one of these:
- version 7.2.0 worked for me
- update busybox
- delete all the tibu data folders (as you've done).
fyi - i'm on cm12.1.

The Answer Is NO For Everything You Asked... use titanium backup to backup apps and data
Hey Aisfkhan believe me you will not find better alternative than titanium back up for this work
You may create backup of all your apps with or without data into a .zip file which you can install with other recovery.
And don't forget choice is yours do whatever u like

In my opinion Titanium Backup is one of the best. You should also give Nandroid Manager a try as it has some extended features not included in Titanium Backup.

ah yeah.. i already tried this one. After doing an backup i tried to recover via this tool and it didn't work. Since there was no reaction by the dev, i skipped that one
What exactly you want to restore? Do you use the same android version as before? Restoring app data to different android versions will not work!!

When it comes to notification lock screens you should give NiLS a try: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.roymam.android.notificationswidget&hl=de
It resembles the iOS behavior.
