Hello, guys and girls,
I have a Huawei P9 Lite 2017, and I tried to find, but could not get a section to its Custom Firmwares. Is it because it has the same hardware as another Huawei phone, so we should use Custom Firmwares from another phone? If so, is there any kind of problems using it because it was not exactly made for this cellphone? I really like the battery (unfortunately, not so much when it's not used), but It get me nervous when it just stops from some time (usually I have to close all apps to become normal). Can the custom firmware fix it?
Thank you very much in advance

Hello guys!
After getting a bit fed up with EMUI, I decided to try to find a good ROM to use on my Honor 6 (L12), and I've decided on MIUI v7. The official MIUI website shares two ROMs for this phone (presumably done with MIUI Patchworks), one for WCDMA phones, and one for TD-SCDMA phones.
Due to not having 10 posts yet, I am not allowed to post links, but on the official MIUI Website, if you go on Downloads > Brands > Huawei > MIUI v7 you will find the two ROMs I'm speaking of.
Thing is, I have no idea which one of these I should use on my phone, or even if they will work on L12. I am still under warranty, so I only want to root my phone once I'm sure the ROM works. Can anyone give me any info on this?
Thank you very much!
Bump
Sorry about bumping, but I have researched quite a lot and cannot seem to find an answer
I will give you a bump as well, I have a H60 L04 and I want to flash a H60 L02 Rom wondering if that is possibel to do so? cause its just I have single sim and L02 is double sim, only that differnce
Hello guys, I just want to get help with updating my MT7-L09C900B324 TO marshmallow I've noticed that this is a difficult procedure most of all because of the firmwares. Thats why I thought it might be great to gather the best firmwares.. And help people that are in the same situation... Cheers
That is difficult as it depends on whether it's Chinese firmware or international, whether or not it has dual SIM and what region the existing firmware is for. So many combinations.
IMO, only use an update or ROM that has an included pdf stating what versions it can update. Check this against what is installed. Many people brick through haste and ignorance.
You also need stock recovery to do it. Bootloader can be locked or unlocked for OTA or update. I prefer to unroot too, if just an OTA update. I also think it safest to wipe cache and dalvik. Start fresh.

Updating huawei ascend mate 7 to marshmallow
As far as I know it's the Malaysian firmware, I update it manually seems it was taking too long for the Ota to arrive. Of course, from kitkat to lollipop. Now, the Ota supposed to be kicking in but I got nothing.. Do you think it has something to do with the firmware that I have? I thought it was because of that, and believe if I don't change it, will never work
Hello Everyone!
I'm currently trying to decide whether to get the Honor Note 10, or the Xiaomi Mi Max 3. While the former clearly shows strength in terms of processing power, design etc., the later one has a major advantage in software due to it having treble support.
Hence, if I may ask to those of you who already have the phone, is the device treble enabled? I currently have my OnePlus 5 running Android Pie because of treble, and I would like to have my secondary phone be as flexible as well! I am highly aware that the bootloader unlock requires a paid service, but a few dollars for having barebones AOSP roms would be something I look forward to.
Thank you in advance to those who'll answer!

Yeah! So that it may be possible to flash GSI roms
Hi,
As Huawei doesn't allow to unlock the bootloader, you won't be able to install any GSI to it...
Some people report to have managed to unlock it with a paid option and to install TWRP.
But I am almost certain that even if they did and assuming a GSI will install and boot, you'll end up with a crippled device with features missing or not working...
I'd like to see that also but I think for now I'll stick to stock to no get stuck ,?

Well, maybe we could find workarounds for it... But I do understand your point with having incompatible roms.. I have bricked a device before because of it. But I hope someone knowledgable could look into this, especially those who work on the Honor 10 and Honor View 10 . Anyways, I guess I'll just try by myself, got my unit just today :fingers-crossed:
Is Note 10 a A only device?
Hi there -
why is there no developmemt for the Find X2 Neo going on?
Nobody has this device? I have it since a week.
Is it maybe possible to root this device without unlocking the bootloader like installing magisk Manager and let it patch the original boot Image?
THX for Reading this and for replying.
-regards realrobman
Oppo Find X2 Neo is not available in all countries. Sometimes I think OPPO is not very interested to support this device by themselves. If you look at the UK-Supportpage you will find an update from 05/06/2020, at the Australian-Supportpage (and many other countries) from 02/09/2020 aaaand on the German Page you'll become only a description to make updates via OTA.
That could be a reason why nobody is interested to develop for this device.
But I have this Device and it's doing his job.
Hi all.
I’m by now somewhat puzzled and utter fed up with Huawei. Why do they make it close to impossible to update phone firmware? One thing is finding the correct firmware, where after Huawei makes all kinds of obstacles to make it extremely difficult to update the firmware, why?
However, I figure that help can be granted through you girls and boys! My hope is to get the phone down to 10.1.0.131, in order to install GMS.
THX in advance
Sincerely
Søren Abildtrup, Denmark
