Treble from rajatgupta1998 - Moto G4 Plus Guides, News, & Discussion

Rajat recently created and deleted a repo, and I caught it in time to fork. Rajat said I should continue development, as he had abandoned it. But I don't have too much time at the moment, so anyone with ideas should create a PR to penn5/device-trouble-for-athmeme on GitHub.

I did make a twrp version which mounts /oem as vendor . Haven't tested it much. And as I mentioned to you earlier, don't have the time to do it as of now. If you want I can upload the build here. PM me on Telegram @hackintosh5 .

Thanks for your hard work. Will test and report. I'm currently on an s8 port. Will this kernel support mtweaks?

Synapse is a kernel developer who designs the interface directly.
So features that MTweak does not support are added to Synapse.
You can use MTweak, but if you do, you will not be able to use some of the kernel's unique features. (MTweak only supports common functions like other kernels).
I've put a lot of effort into reducing the bugs in Synapse, and my kernel is very stable in Synapse.

Ah, nice thread. Another try to go against anti-piracy process on XDA. I'm not sure that what you're even thinking. If you try to remove anti-piracy code from any project and then post it on development site such as XDA then be sure that it will be taken down. That's it Also It doesn't matter if you modified it using hex patches. Your sources have to be still up.
@MrYacha could it be used to normally flash other roms than terble? like MIUI builds?
Thank You ! :good:

Very noob question. Doesn't Project Treble basically mean that ROMs are more or less universal, now? That's how I always understood it.

Universal means that device specific functions are not included.
Maybe device specific bug fixes are needed.
And the GSI's only cover the system partition.
Not the rest of the entire firmware.

Read changelog then you will know.
But to be honest, all feature kernels out there contains almost the same, so you can't say "special feature". Maybe you will get better battery or performance or whatever but the mainfeatures are the same as on every (apart of basickernel, because it contains a really really small amount of features, like the motto less is more) out there.
This kernel was a wish of the basickernel community, they want the sourcecode added with features, thats the mainreason for bringing this up.

No i can't for three reasons
1. I am didn't use telegam
2. Even if i am use it, didn't have the time to maintain both
3. XDA alive of using it, everything can be done here very nicely without any additional app
Btw at all, next update have f2fs merged so everyone can use it, doesn't matter if you are on ext4 or f2fs filesystem.
