Oreo Notifications - Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions and Answers

Is there a way to disable the swipe and delete feature for notifications?
Prior to Oreo, you could swipe and delete a notification on the nav bar and it would still keep that email, message, notification fresh. Now you swipe it away or off of your nav bar and the badge counter does not show a number.
Anyone?

Notifications hide themselves after a while.

I am seeing some different behavior as far as notifications go vs how my jellybean device worked and I want to know if this is normal on kitkat or if there is a setting I am missing.
If I get a notification from the calendar the calendar icon will show in the notification bar for a while then it will hide itself so if I pull down the bar it's there but the calendar icon will be gone from the notification bar. On my previous devices the calendar icon would stay visible until I cleared the notification.
This is annoying and I want to know if this is normal operation or not.

The status bar icon should not disappear until you clear the notification itself. Are you on stock?
Yes I have stock version 4.4.4.

[Q] Lollipop: Is there a way to hide certain notifications in the lock screen ONLY?

Is there a way to hide certain notifications in the lock screen ONLY? I say this because apps like Power Toggles or T-Mobile I want displayed when I swipe down on the navigation bar, but not sitting on my lock screen.
If I block it in the sounds and notification it blocks the app from showing up entirely. Same with "hide notifications" in app settings.
Any help would be appreciated.
The only options are for all apps and only show / hide all notifications. If you have a secure lock, you can show only the title but hide the content. There are no per-app settings
Or flash this ROM.
Nexus 5 AOSP With Gapps
On latest version r5.4, it has hide certain notification without disabled entire app notification.
Just hold on the notification you want to hide in status bar, and click the silent icon.

Sensitive notifications

Looks like the ambient display notification is showing the contents of hangouts messages and emails when I wave my hand over the screen. Is it possible to only show the circle hangouts icon and not show anything until the icon is pressed?
Edit: I have set "when device is locked, show all notification content". But I still cannot choose which apps are "sensitive" . The only App notification settings I see are "block, show on lock screen, disable persistent notification on lockscreen, and priority"
How do I enable the sensitive setting?

Is there a way to make it so notifications don't show up on the status bar?

Sorry if this has been asked, I searched but didn't find anything. I like to have my status bar nice and clean and just rather see my notifications on my lock screen or drop down menu.
Running Android 10 on a Pixel 3. I would still like to receive notifications but I would like my status bar just to show the time on the left side. I know you can silence notifications and hide them from the status bar but I still would like to get notifications in the same way other than seeing the icon on the status bar.
Thanks

Possible to remove icons of permanent notifications from the status bar?

I know apps you want running in the background consistently might need a permanent notification.
So I'm just wondering if it's possible to remove certain notification icons from the status bar? So that the permanent notifications from i.e. my real-time security app can still be running in the notification panel but it's not cluttering up the status bar next to my clock, stopping new notification icons from showing like emails or texts.
