Hi,
To restore your phone in working condition you need to flash fastboot image with MiFlash without locking bootloader - but I think that will delete your data.

It is possible to flash fastboot rom without lose data, you must edit fastboot *.bat file, erase batch to format data, and run bat file. i did it two times, works perfectly (after brick phone)
Thank you guys, but at this moment, even Fastboot seems not work (
How exactly i do that and where to get those files?

Hi,
follow this tutorial on how to use MiFlash tool https://xiaomiflashtool.com/tutorial/use-xiaomi-flash-tool. Download the fastboot file from here http://bigota.d.miui.com/V9.5.4.0.N...FA_20180604.0000.00_7.1_global_cd28847c92.tgz.
Hope it helps!
I already try...the problem is that the phone seems to "loose" conection on Fastboot....and takes forever to "update"....
When i disconet it says sucess.....but its a false result......
Frustrating.....

I'm on vacation now, relaks on the ***** ?
Download fastboot rom. Don't use ****ty mi tools
Use bat file which you found in fastboot rom archive file.
File something like flash_withoit_lock.bat (run it through click on it with turn on fastboot mode, it will format data, and install full rom). If you have important data f. e. Photos edit it. You will found easy which line is to format data (open on notepad++ not windows notepad) .
Guys:
Problem solved! It was the stupid W10 64 wont let me install nothing even i thought i turn off drive signature...
W7 and everything went flawless...
Im back!!
Thank you all!!

Enjoy vacations on the beach....August i will travel to POland!

I am running an early 3.2 tiamat rom and i'm wanting to completely wipe all my things like music etc.
When I do a system reset there is no option to get rid of the data.
I have tried doing a wipe via CWM but this doesnt clear this data either.
Any ideas?

Are the files you want to clear in your internal storage ("sdcard") or on your external micro sdcard? I think solarnz' version R4c CWM recovery was configured to avoid wiping data, and I know a wipe data/factory reset in CWM rcovery menu never touches the external sdcard.
You may be best off just manually deleteing your unwanted files, through a file manager app or via pc connection.

Sorry to revive an old thread but are you sure that is the only way?
I have done experimentation with files and (not knowing what I was doing really) and now I have various/random files scattered throughout my Xoom.
I would rather start over with a fresh clean slate but every time I do I factory reset (from xoom settings, not clockwork) the files are still there.
Any suggestions??
Thanks,
Digital
BONUS QUESTION: Which version of Clockwork should I be running now? I'm currently on 3.1x something I think. 3.2.0.0 ?
EDIT: Well never mind, I guess I got it to work. Not sure what the exact process/steps are supposed to be but I did a factory reset within Xoom and clockwork (plus extras) without a SD card then I did it the same process again with SD card and then I finally did a reboot into recovery after factory reset in clockwork (i think that may have been the key?)

Great! There is also a way to wipe from fastboot, but you would have to look up the exact commands. But it looks like you got your clean start.
easiest way i found is bassicaly flash through fastboot stock kernel rom and recovery etc...then you can start allover again with a nice "virgin xoom thats needs a good root"

It looks like I'll be trying the fastboot method. I had put the Xoom in a bad state a while back and had to learn some of those commands to revive it. I'll look into it, thanks for the tip!!

Would you mind writing up some quick steps and links to do that?
I have the xoom wifi mz604. Should I use Build HWI69 for US Retail
MD5 Sum: 3f52762e56474070fa71bdf34ba9afd1 or follow this?: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1446469
Once I get the correct ROM, it looks like I'll need to run the following commands.
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
fastboot erase cache
I don't think I need to do a: fastboot oem lock
after all that since I plan on rooting again right away.
I'm really enjoying the custom rom over here and would like to apply that again: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1400958
Basically, I just want to have a Xoom the cleanest it can be from time to time with the least amount of hassle. I rarely backup/restore data so that is not an issue for me right now.
This time around I would like to do it the right way and not just be in the dark. I'm starting to see that XDA is awesome community. Never thought my problem would actually get some input.
Can somebody confirm my steps?
Having a problem with my home button lighting up but not taking me home. I would like to wipe clean as well and start from scratch. Could someone please confirm the steps above?
Thanks ~

before going through all that, just try an fastboot erase userdata, that should clear all your data in /data (and that includes /sdcard). If it doesn't, you could try fastboot oem unlock, that should most definately clear everything, no need to flash the stock rom or lock the device again.
Only if all that fails (with all that I'm talking about these two commands) I'd try to go with the steps you mentioned, they look quite okay to me.

Thanks, llama-power. Works great! I also added the "fastboot erase cache" as well, not sure if it helps or hurts but just trying to ensure a clean wipe.
Here are my steps which might help somebody else out down the road:
1. Install motohelper usb drivers from : http://www.motorola.com/Support/US-...tware_and_Drivers/USB-and-PC-Charging-Drivers
1. Unzip "SDK_tools.zip" to C:/
2. Use command promot and type : cd c:/
3. Then type : cd sdk_tools
4. Then type : adb.exe
5. Thne type : adb devices
6. Make sure Xoom shows up as a device
7. Then type : adb reboot bootloader
8. Wait for the xoom to reboot
9. Then type : fastboot erase userdata
10. Wait 60 seconds or so
11. Then type : fastboot erase cache
12. Then type fastboot reboot (if you want to to use xoom and set up)
13. Consider rebooting into recovery if you are upgrading the ROM as well.

I flashed a CM based ROM, and decided to get back to Slimkat. Opened my recovery ( Philz CWM ) wiped everything, and now tried to restore my nandroid ! And suddenly Im on Can't mount /sdcard ! I can't even flash a new ROM or do anything, I get stuck on Google's boot logo if I want to get to the ROM.
Let's note that I had no USB debug checked as I was only checking out the newly flashed ROM. So am I literally in a dead situation? Anyone please may help ?

fastboot commands are done in the bootloader. USB debugging is an Android setting. The 2 are not related even in the slightest.

Thank you sir ! Im sorry to go further saying that I have never used fastboot even thought this is my third nexus device, the regular way of me having a Nexus is using a toolkit on day one to Unlock/Root and then the rest is always done to me on a Recovery !
I am currently downloading the Factory Image to flash it via fastboot ( There are instructions on how to do that ) But will delete everything on my phone.
Is there a way I can save myself right now without any loss? Via fastboot commands? And how can I do it? ( Im really sorry for taking your time and mixing my inexperience )

Dont flash the entire factory image.
just use the
fastboot flash cache cache.img
Then you won't wipe the device.
This is why not to use toolkits. fastboot is essential basic knowledge and using toolkits means you dont get to learn it

If so you can adb pull your photos etc off there from data/media/0 - otherwise no such luck

I think you'v nothing to loose by flashing the whole factory image. If /sdcard can't be mounted in this situation, I think that's because you did (or a toolkit) did something wrong and break it. I don't think that you'll be able to save anything.
(It's my point of view. Maybe somebody else has an idea ?)

Allow me to recall the scenario : I was on Slimkat, decided to try Mahdi Rom ( CM Based ), Backup before flashing, flashed, wanted to revert back. And this can't mount /sdcard there. No idea what could be it...
What recovery you guys recommend me to use ? - Lesson I learned today? I should know how to use fastboot and ditch the Toolkit galore.
Well, seems that you did'nt do anything wrong. Maybe a problem with the rom or something else occur.
Next time, maybe, do a backup and, then, copy it to your computer
For the recovery, I use CWM 6.0.0.4
Hi Guys,
After some cleanup in CMW i accidently format EVERYTHING. (formatted all single option in CMW, afterall a bad idea) So now i'm stuck at the google logo.
Now i have the 4.4.4 KTU.zip on my computer. Can i flash this via ADB sideload (as a renamed ''update.zip''? Or can i just copy the .zip file to my Nexus from a computer?
I'm @ work so i;m stuck guessing what i must do to get this thing work!
Thanks in advance guys
i dont know what it is, but if its a rom, sideload then flash away. your phine is empty right now, no rom or anything. you need to put something into your phone(sideload) then flash it.
Yes, the whole zip file is the stock ROM in a zip file.
Luckely i can't login as administrator here or else i could get my device working here
Thanks!
Why not just start the bootloader (fastboot mode) and execute the flash-all.bat? It'a the 'official' way to completely restore your phone. I've done it several times and it always worked great

There isn't a boot.img in the thread there. Where do I find it?
So I thought to try myself something... I flashed the oldest boot.img from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/orig-development/kernel-insecure-boot-img-t3311306 (B156 FLASHABLE IMG). The only difference now is that it remains stuck at the warning scrren. Previously that screen would dissapear and the phone would be total black.
Also I downloaded the update.app from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/nxt-l09-nxt-l29-stock-rom-b133-download-t3311839 of L29. Extracted boot, cache, cust, system, recovery, userdata from that package and flashed all files with fastboot. Everything successful but still stucked at warning screen.

Which rom were you try to flashing which caused this issue?
Hi ppl. I need help bad! I accidentally erased my os. So when I try to flash a rom using the mi flash tool(which is amazing) it won't work because I have no operating system to enable USB debugging.so it says enable USB debugging but I can't. Any help would be appreciated TW RP installed unlock bootloader. Thanks in advance!!
just flash recovery rom using twrp then.
Way ahead of you..I tried to transfer several times, files, etc from my PC for some reason two stops halfway and doesn't copy them or move them. Only thing I haven't tried it is ADB sideload.. for some reason that never seems to work for me or work out the way I wanted to.
So twrp is flashed? Then yes try sideload. Also make sure your ADB is up to date as I've had that cause issues with large files and sideload before.

Miflash doesn't need for usb debugging to flash rom I believe. It's all fastboot. If ur phone is not detected by pc, it means drivers.
It does indicate USB debuging not on. So yes it does . I've used it before to flash TWRP. The flash will also install the drivers before you use it so I can understand why it won't let me transfer anything from PC to phone when fastboot mode. It won't let me get past that stuff in this USB debugging is enabled. Frustrating brand new phone to only a couple weeks old.
Have you booted to twrp and format data (the one where you have to type "yes")?
Mi flash only required adb because it needs to run adb reboot fastboot. I'm in the States as well, PM me and maybe we can get this guy working over remote support. I haven't seen this issue myself, so I can't comment much.

Its all good. I'm about to pick up my kids from school, so let me head home, I'll PM you in a bit. We can use TeamViewer or something. If it comes down to it, I also have my work login to use for remote assist. You just need a semi up to date laptop or desktop computer.
Hopefully we can get this solved quickly. I'm unfortunately not in your immediate area, otherwise much easier hands on. The company I work for is down the street from your location however, I'm just a remote systems guy.

I had the exact issue two days ago and the only thing that worked was to manually flash to stock. Since you already have the fastboot rom downloaded and extracted the hard work is done. What you need to do is to put all the files from that main folder (images) into a folder that you have adb installed. Then with your phone connected in fastboot open up a command prompt and once you have the directory set to where your fastboot is type the following and wait until each is done and says okay to move on.
fastboot flash modem modem.img
fastboot flash tz tz.img (I can't remember if this one actually flashed. I think it failed but it didn't matter)
fastboot flash logo logo.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash system system.img (this one will take a long time to start flashing, don't worry. Also, there are about 5 files it will flash so be patient)
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash cache cache.img
fastboot flash userdata userdata.img
fastboot reboot
That puts you back to stock. I spent almost a whole night freaking out because I didn't have an OS and I couldn't get TWRP to reinstall. Once I did that and got things going I downloaded the same versions update on the phone (the one that can be flashed through the update page in settings) and did a flash of that as well.
