If i update with odin SM-G930T it's lockable again ? (simlock) - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S7 Questions & Answers

Hi family xda. Sorry for my bad English because it's not my native language. If you help me, you will be very happy to me.
I wanna ask some questions.
I recently bought a used SM-G930T. But i did don't know it's T mobile phone. I living in Turkey. I don't know this phone history(where did import to my country ? or who before owners, I buy that local phone shop.) Just one know it this phone import to my country abroad country. imei its the original imei write on the phone and it's box. Registered in someone's passport not illegal it's legal. I check it government site.
This phone release 6.0.1 Marshmellow. I wanna update this phone 7.0. I try manually but phone says me ''The device is up to date''. And then I download new firmware on sammobile for my phone model. SM-930T 7.0 T mobile firmware. I wanna update with odin. But I wonder it. I put in my simcard and I use this phone smoothly. I don't know this phone simlock or locked before owner. If the sim is locked the previously owner, somehow being unlocked. If I update this phone with odin 7.0. It's lockable again ? Thanks in advance.

[Q] H60-L02 dual sim update from EMUI 2.3 to 3.0

Hi everyone, I got a dual sim H60-L02 from China (rooted by the seller) and using it in Malaysia.
The shop dealer asked me not to update the phone as I will not be able to use Malaysia SIM card upon updating to the latest firmware.
Is it something to do with the baseband?
Is there anywhere I can find the baseband if I updated the phone and fail to connect to the cellular services?
Do advise / correct me should I have made wrong statement.
Thanks.
sorry but it sounds to me you've got either a clone device or spyware from your seller. try the app Z device test to check the hardware

I have L-02 type, unrooted, using it in Malaysia, 1st sim Maxis and the other one use indonesia's SIM. It's running properly for 3G. I unable try 4G coz my sim card not support for 4G.
thanks for the reply.
Just to update, as there is a small note not to update to EMUI 3.0 while in rooted mode, I had factory reset the phone and then only updated the phone to latest firmware. Since Gapps does not available in China, I installed the Gapps from huawei app centre (Google calendar and contact sync adapter are available in that app centre) and the phone works well up to now except whatsapp chat history problem.
Hope you all enjoy Honor 6 H60-L02, definitely a phone worth to buy.
I have H60L02 .. Bought in Chinese... I am in India
I want or remove chinese app ..
Even in Contacts i could see chinese.. kindly Help in rooting it to International version EMUI

LG G4 H810 ATT or PR?

I recently bought a H810 , Its was a cheap deal. The phone had PR ROM in it. I read somewhere the PR rom is fast but has issues.
So I read somewhere the Pr and ATT roms (10o) can be switched and I did that. The ATT rom was working to and gave me update notification for MM. But as I didnt have ATT sim so I pushed it via ADB that shown me failed every time. I reverted to PR rom again to see if PR has any updates.
Anyone can help me to find if the device is ATT or PR or none. ? !! ??
Check the back of the model. If it's PR, then It should be LG-H810PR, note that if it's PR, it's an international version and if you ever need warranty/repair/etc (hope not) then you'l need to look up a local distributor or wherever you bought your phone

Is it safe to install foreign country firmware on a samsung device?

Hi everyone, I'm new here, sorry if somethings wrong with this question (let me know so I can change it).
But anyway, I'm from Ecuador and someone sold me a Samsung A505F double sim from Pakistan (also Malaysia and United Arab Emirates), not from america so my question is:
Is it safe to install a firmware from another country? Besides erasing my data and configuration will I lose anything? Can I still use my local network and stuff? What happens if I try another version? Please, let me know ASAP. I don't care wiping my phone's data so that isn't a problem for me at all.
The reason I want to change it is because I have a camera issue and SAMSUNG STORE told me that my version isn't sold in here and I have to go to the store from where I got it. They don't look at rooted devices, etc. They just look at firmware's country and the hardware condition.
Thanks in advance, regards.

Samsung S10e not Receiving Updates (SM-G970U)

Hello guys,
I bought my brand-new Samsung S10e this year in early July and I havent received any update since the January 2020 security patch, which I assume was installed when the phone was manufactured. I was wondering if there's any issue with my firmware or anything. I have seen some recommendations for firmware flashing, I am a bit freaked out about it as I have never done it and I dont want to brick the phone. Additionally my phone is the US variant (Snapdragon) and New Zealand where I live has Exynos for the Default, further convincing me that the phone might have no compatible firmware for where I live to receive updates. I also read that it is not possible for Snapdragon to be rooted and so I was wondering if I could get comfirmation as to whether or not I could use custom ROMs. Any help, suggestions, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated, I am desperate for anything.
Phone model number: Galaxy S10e SM-G970U 128GB
Thanks in advance

Your best option is to download SamFirm 5.0 and download SM-G970U1 firmware XAA code. Youll get updates then. Search how to use SamFirm and tutorial how to flash with patched Odin.

Are you sure that I use the SM-G970U1 firmware and not the SM-G970U firmware, I just really don't want to screw it up, is there a link you could send so I'm not installing viruses? Thank you

Depends a little on what is happening.
If you don't get an OTA download, but you see on SamFirm that there is an new firmware for your phone. This can sometimes happen, in that case one way to resolve it is to download the new firmware from a reliable source and flash the phone with Odin. Once done it generally resolves itself, and the next OTA just works normally.
If there aint a new firmware for your phone like its a carrier specific version for your phone, then your out of luck, as you will have to wait for your carrier to make it available. Now in this case there are sometimes options, like i had one phone with a carrier software, but i could also flash the regions general firmware that was available, or one from an other european country. But how this works for your country, you will have to look that up.

Thanks bro i usually download with friza and never encountered any issues but il take your suggestion...my device is open and unlocked we in india dont get carrier locked devices bro...also can u share a valid and reliable link for sm-s908e with ins as region...thanks bro
For unlocked devices the upgrades usually take longer because they need to be sure that it will work with all possible carriers. As an example, I have a carrier unlocked device in Argentina and only 2 days ago I finally received the Android 13 update. So, did you checked in the official pages that there is a new version for your phone?

Maybe handy to look up on YouTube to see how the process goes, if you dont feel confident in doing this, maybe they can do it at some phone repair shop or something similar.
There should also be a lot of Indian people who wrote about flashing the rom of you phone in your own language.
