NavBar - Options? - HTC U12+ Questions & Answers

Are there any Nav-Bar-Options out for being "always transparent" or always black with white symbols?
With the NavBar App Im only able to pull it complete black, and wont see the icons anymore ^^
Cheers

HTC uses non-standard navbar icons, so there is no app that supports it yet. Maybe it's possible to create an Xposed or magisk module.

Another possibility is to style the Apps with substratum, than the navbar often get themed with the app (also the icons).
For example WhatsApp:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}

It's the same on u11+, htc should update navbar to give us color choice like with samsung, same goes for "smart display" which is also pretty limited

I make a "workaround" with the navbar app, dark grey blue, cause black isnt working ^^
Substratum isnt an option - cause its not working anymore with P?

I somehow managed to have the navbar disappear. It was great viewing websites in chrome. But after I turned my phone off and on again, I have the navbar always visible.

Now I figured it out. Swipe on the navbar right. You see some options with the first from left you can make the nav bar fade out.

HTC themes turns the navbar icons an ugly white. The theme I normally use is black and orange and would normally turn the navbar icons orange but now it doesn't work. Has anyone found any HTC themes that work with the U12+ navbar?

Same problem with the U11+. UGLY!

Are there any news? :-/
It's really ugly.
And is there an option to turn the settings dark?

Anyone have a CyanogenMod red colored battery APK?

I'm looking for the red colored Cyanogen Mod battery APK so I can steal the PNG's from it and put it into my APK for SeanScreamz Cola ROM that I'm running.
Basically it would look like this, but in red instead of blue.

I did get some force closures on superuser and also ROM Toolbox.
But I restored from backup and then installed a different superuser and it all worked fine the next time.
I did lose my status bar the first time though.

There's an app you may be interested in the play store called themex. It extracts the icons, wallpaper, & docks from any themes you have installed & i think it supports all of the launchers you mentioned. You can manually apply them after you uninstall the theme.
Thanks

[Request] Could anyone make a theme for Galaxy S8?

Hi everyone,
I just bought a S8 plus, for a very affordable price. It's a very nice phone.
I'd really like to have my own custom theme for my phone, as I have a very specific theme.
I have images and icons all ready to use, I already have the colors and everything but I didn't manage to get Samsung theme editor officially.
I don't think there would be anyone willing to give away the editor soft so I ask if anyone could make the app? I would provide all necessary files for menus and dialer etc.
That would be great.
This is how it would look like, it might not be very pretty but I really like it.

Use substratum, you will need a payed add-on but it's worth it. You can even change the animation scale with 0.1 increments (dracos system mods) change a lot of apps to different colors

Or you could use coffee from XDA devs as well but I haven't personally tried it on Oreo so... You can mix and match different colors, and other stuff that's where coffee name comes from
What can be changed with Substratum?
I have to change all the menus and the dialer.

You can change color icons some animations systemui elements (like your clock location) text type and stuff.. I did some digging and found an app witch I used 2 months ago.. it's theme Galaxy and it works wonders you can add this image to background if you want

Anyway to get right clock or nav bar buttons?

Anyway to get right clock like in Oreo back?? And also anyway to get nav bar buttons back and not use gestures? I can root if I have to or anyway is fine! Let me know thanks
Sent from my SM-N960U1 using Tapatalk
You can get the button NAV back without root following this XDA tutorial: https://www.xda-developers.com/disable-android-pie-gestures-google-pixel-3/
But I don't think there is any way to get the clock back on the right. If you really don't like the clock on the left; you can remove it altogether from the left via the system UI tuner, but then you have no clock at all in your status bar.
There are some Substratum themes that can do that including my Translucent Substratum Theme which moves it to the right hand side.

nothing on stock?
Also interested in putting clock back to where it belongs
If you are rooted and have TWRP than the Tulsa mods can adjust the clock.

I like the centered clock. Finally makes use of that wasted space in the middle since Android Pie doesn't use it.

Notifcation Panel chaned to a light theme after phone update

Recently updated my p20 to the 9.0.0 emui, and the phone changed to a light theme. Can't seem to change it back through notifications. Is there a way for me to change it (preferably without downloading a mod)? Thanks in advance!

You can achieve this with using a custom theme.
I'll post more about this later.

I'm very disappointed with the EMUI 9 update on the P20, I'm of course happy to receive the system speed enhancements, I just feel the user interface and graphical design very weak. ( IMHO )
" EMUI 9.0 features a simplified design to reflect natural elements and nature’s sound. Our inspiration comes from blending natural colour transitions and light and shadow with mountains, ocean water, glaciers and stones to form a translucent visual presentation."
I would be interested to know how to change these functions, if anyone can advise.
1- The Light theme is terrible and should have been made an option in settings rather than removing any chance of black mode. How to change the pull down notifications back to a black background and white icons.
2- The changing the Contacts images to mountains (if you haven't set one) when it used to be Initials seems unhelpful.
3- When using the Dialler contacts now have an allocated murky brown colour below the image and behind the icons. (which isn't the most flattering when people call you. )
