My OP6 is from HK. The SIM i'm trying to load on it is from Italy.
Is there such thing as the HK phone not being able to read an Italian SIM? (Obviously Asian SIMs work)

I figured out that my wife phone rings the same melody regardless of the caller becouse her phone shows as roaming all the time. She has Vodaphone branded phone (unlocked) and using on Cingular network here while having old ATT Wireless card. This was not an issue with other phones she used before neither is with my Qtek 9100. Any ideas?
so her phone roams so uses the roaming tone? why does her phone roam when you are in your country?
I have no idea. It's Vodaphone branded phone and she hasl Cingular SIM card.
have you asked att/cingular about it?
Asked in forums and people suggested becouse it's European Vodafone branded phone, not sure if ATT will support this configuration
hmm. i have a voda 750v from the UK but i don't roam when i'm in my country. i'm in the philippines.
also my phone is not supported by my telco as well but when i had problems with my sim card they still helped me out. the treo was not liking my telco's new 3g sim it took them 3 days to find the phased out 64k SIM that did work. try cs u might get lucky

Ummm.... Techinical issue:
You CAN NOT unlock SIM. You CAN unlock Polaris.
SIM is always connected to your mobile provider, so if you need another network, you'll need another SIM (and possibly contract, if you're not gonna use prepaid SIM).
Hello everybody, especall Italian people. I was looking for a dual sim adapter for my htc diamond and i found out that only the simore one seems to work fine with h3g usims. Mine is new and I would combine it with another sim of WIND ITA (I just can't fin out the way to understand if it's 64k or 128k)
Anyway, anybody have a cheaper adapter? (simore costs about 40€!!!) but i would appreciate more the answers of those who have it with an h3g (doesn't matter the country i think) usim and another one. Thanks
My carrier is Vodafone (in Portugal). If I buy a Vodafone locked cellphone from another country (let's say from the UK) will it work with my simcard or will I have to unlock it?

Mostly No. Carrier code would be different across the different countries even if the carrier is same - so you still need to unlock it to use it with Vodafone Portugal.

I have my dad's phone which is S6 with Vodafone UK. He needs to use here in USA. but, after sim is inserted, the phone states enter Sim unlock code....... it seems it is sim locked to Vodafone. My dad bought this phone from local market shop and did not knew it will be locked to vodafone simcard only.
Can someone help.
