Transparent Status Bar Ascend y300

Hello guys, as you can read from the title i would really like to have on my phone the transparent status bar, like the nexus 5. I tried some different apps like xposed + gravity box or xblast but the bar is transparent just on the home screen and in the app drawer, when i open an app it become black again. I've installed the carbonrom on my phone (it's kitkat based). I hope someone can help me with that little problem ^^ and sorry i didnt found the y300 section on the forum.

The translucent status bar is only translucent if the application supports it. Ad you can see above on my Nexus 5 it's black.
This is my music player, it supports translucent status bar.
If you wish to have this translucent feature in everything. Then use an closed module called "Tinted Status Bar".

I already tried this xposed module and it's cool but it need this millisecond to adapt the current app, and it's kind of annoying for me. I will thank you anyway now i understood the problem ^^ if i find a better method i can write here

Yeah, with xblast or gravity box is always translucent but just few things

Minimal one. Nova, Typographical Zooper theme, LMT for navigation, notification bar just a swipe away.

Nova launcher everything is just a swipe away i like the clean look with no icons.

Xstana icons: navigation bar - Mi6
Bottom dock - Jojol

Nova Launcher and Motorola CommandCenter ( Circles Widget )

One-handed mode doesn't reduce calculator and dialpad sizes in Nougat

am i missing something or did they get rid of that feature?
in Marshmallow, once you set up one-handed mode, you had the option of automatically reducing the keyboard, calculator, and dialpad. in Nougat, that feature is gone. i couldn't find it anywhere.
why are they going backwards??

that's not what i mean. your screenshot reduces the whole screen, that does work fine. what i'm talking about is on Marshmallow, in the settings you could set that a dialer, calculator, and samsung keyboard would be resized automatically without actually resizing the screen like in your screenshot.

In recent apps, hold your finger in calculator tab, a square it will appear, drag the app inside of the square.
If don't show up that option, go to advance settings, multi window tab.

Issue about theming Google icons

Hi, when using themes, I've noticed Google apps do not get fully themed, any help with this issue?
I'm using emui 5 on mate 9 stock. Here's an example using XDA theme.
Notice that I've already tried a lot of themes posted here and g+ EMUI International
and always end up the same (all icons themed except Google ones)
I'm using stock launcher too.
Help is much appreciated

LOL anyone(7x "seen" and no responses haha)? Im thinking I'm the only one facing this problem, and it's driving me nuts.
Is there something I can do? Cause it is not cool to set a theme and see all icons changed except the Google ones

Yes!
I had this issue and it was that all i was doing was changing the icon set and NOT running a new theme. So you have to choose a full theme that has the icon set you like then go back and change the wallpapers etc to the ones you want

Na, it doesn't work .
Also I found that mate 9 default themes doesn't theme those icons either, so I guess there is no way to theme that .
Only way to "theme" those icons is using another launcher, in which case it's not a real solution.

Hello,
I'm facing the same issue but only with the following 3 google apps : Docs, Slides, and Sheets.
I'm building my own theme and I can't figure out how to rename the icon for these 3 apps so that my custom icons are applied (here, using the app's package name doesn't work).
I don't have this problem with the other google apps.
Anyone have an idea?

Dual WhatsApp 'Permission Denied'

Hi all,
I'm new to Xiaomi but not new to android. I've had the Mi Mix 3 for a couple of weeks now and I have to say, I'm having a love hate relationship with MIUI. I absolutely love the gestures but other things/issue are really starting to grate on me!
One of the things that's really annoying me is the dual WhatsApp 'permission denied' error.
I have dual WhatsApp installed and every possible permission has been enabled. Yet when I click on the dual WhatsApp icon in the app drawer (I have Nova Launcher installed) it states 'permission denied'.
However.........when I click on the normal WhatsApp icon, it gives me a choice of either launching my 'original' WhatsApp or the dual one. If I launch the dual WhatsApp from here, it starts up fine.
My question is...........why? Why are there two icons for the same app and why doesn't one of them work??
I've attached pictures to hopefully illustrate what I'm trying to say.

I have the same problem. It works just fine with Mi or Poco launcher, but I love Nova... I tried all the activities using QuickShortcutMaker but none of them starts the cloned app.

So it's a Nova Launcher issue?

Microsoft Launcher too, not just Nova

You can open it from the google search bar. ??????

Use gesture
In nova launcher you can use gestures to open the app. When you'll try the gesture it'll ask you which copy of app you wanna open.
