Galaxy S7 Rom compatibility problems with new Lineage 15.1 based AOSP roms

I've had my S7 rooted and installed an S8 ported Rom and i wanted to try out the new oreo roms, but whenever I try to install them, it says that it isnt compatible, which lead me to think its because of my Ported S8 rom.... is there any truth to this? Or am i just doing something wrong?
Most ROM's only support installing from a previous version of their ROM, or from stock - to prevent bugs and firmware conflicts.. So yes your S8 port ROM is probably the cause.
Flash stock via Odin, then try Lineage again and you should be set.
Update your recovery
Hello,
I had the same problem. My TWRP was to old. I had a Version 3.1.x. An update to 3.2.x helped me out.
By the way, I'm on Resurrection Remise 6.0 and I love it. The only real problem ist the GPS.
Navigation is not working as expected. But that seems to be the case with all Oreo Roms.

Stable ROM for daily use?

Hi!
I really love my phone and i need to know, if there is any ROM that doesn't has lag, bugs and some extra free RAM, i tried from KK roms to Oreo roms and i really didn't notice any difference (in every ROM i have at least 300mb ~ 280mb free RAM)
I prefer an Oreo ROM, but i know it's still at development and has bugs and is kinda laggy.
any recomendations?
if you need hassle free stable daily driver material stick to Noughat ROMs, not that Oreo ROMs are bad but they are still experimental.
I would recommend AOSPEx v4.6 as it was almost latest security updates (05/2018), or the latest greatest LOS 14.1
Paranoid Android (N) the best rom :fingers-crossed:
U can try
1)Aosp Extended
2)RR
3)Crdroid
4)los

Click to collapse
You Can Use LineAge 15.1 With android oreo, all wait for Kernel source and after that we will get custom Rom and kernel...
Developers without any donate working hard on it and you just will use, But they dont request any donate from you So just wait

Rom Porting

So I wanted Android Pie for my J710F but there werent any cutom Roms availabale. So I figured I could port a Rom. But all the guides on Xda and elsewhere only focused on porting a rom with the same SDK version. So my question is: Can you port an AOSP Pie Rom with an AOSP Oreo 8.1 or 8.0 Rom?
(Would be great if you could tell me how to do it too)Thnx
