I agree. I like carbon the most for my black Z5C, however the dark wood also looks promising.

Those really do look quite nice. I go normally totally commando on my phones, but I am seriously considering getting one of these for the back.
Looks better than the glass IMO, should make a cracked back if it happens far lass annoying and it will likely make it less slippery.
Anyone got those already? I would have a few questions:
- the z5c back is a bit recessed - but how is the back with the skin applied? Is it higher than the frame or is it even or still recessed?
- which version do you have and how is the grip on it how how does it feel? I am curious how the carbon, titanium, leather and wood versions compare there.

I used to buy dbrand for al my phones but switched to the beautiful crafted balolo.de wooden panels. Gives your phone a truly unique expression and feel, waiting for my balolo order to arrive (had one for my previous z3c)

I have an red carbon extremeskin on my z5c but it basically the same, the skin is maybe 0.1mm higher than the frame so the back feels a little bit more rounded. The grip is definitely better with the skin on The skin also have cutouts for the Sony and nfc logo, looks ok but not great.

Personally I like dbrands version more, I do not like the cutouts for the Sony and NFC Logo on the xtremeskins version.
In case anyone is interested in grip improvements, I found this report regarding the different grip factors of different dbrand skins.

received my balolo sheet yesterday, see attachements

the wood looks nice (i miss my moto x walnut) but it's way too thick for me.
it would be nice to replace the original back with wood. (without losing waterproofness)

I had this in m z3c, was the same thickness and it never came loose, the now sharp edges will be soft in a few days.

I actually reconsidered getting a DBrand skin after the balolo link was posted and since I'm a very big fan of wood in a lot of applications and also from germany I really could not pass on these.
I just ordered the walnut version for my black z5c.

More seriously, that looks like it could be a good way to protect the glass back without adding a lot of bulk.

I normally hate white phones, but that white/wood combo looks super classy.
Anyways I got 3 Dbrand skins during their sale (Black leather, Mahogany, Black Titanium), so I'll post pics of those when they arrive (likely around thanksgiving).

How easy was it to attach? I always worry that my fumbling fingers will fail and it looks like you only have one shot; no re-positioning.
Another question...is the wood sealed or oiled? In your past experience, does the wood start to darken as time passes from the oil on your hand? I would prefer that it DID, but am just curious about the finish.
Last question: I'm in the US. Anyone have Balolo deliver in the US? How long did it take to get the product?

ease of attaching depends on your your fixed hands, tip, don't do it while you are half a sleep or drunk
it is not sealed or oiled, my bamboo and previous oak darkens in a few weeks, also the sharp edges are gone after some time. one thing is that because of the structure and softness of the bamboo it chips easily but not such that it looks crap.
after a few weeks still happy with it!

One last question: Have you ever tried to remove it from the phone? Can it be removed, for instance, if the phone has to be sent in for service?

@rebecker my order took nearly two weeks to arrive, which I assume is due to them handcrafting every order once it comes in. So for USA based on my experience I would guess 2-3 weeks.
The wood is oiled and waxed according to their website. While I am not competent enough to verify this exactly I can say for sure it is not sealed and still feels like wood.
I'll throw some of my pics in as well well, for good measure.

Speck Candyshell Grip

Finally got my white Speck case today. It feels great. The cutouts are wonderful, and the USB C cable fits perfectly. My only complaint is that it's a bit difficult to get the case off after you put it on. It is possible though.

Very nice, makes me wonder if I should have chosen white over black! Mine should arrive today (hopefully), do you think a TGSP will fit well with the Speck?

I'm not sure. My TGSP arrives today. It might be a tight fit. Also, I was able to perform a screenshot without any problem, which is another complaint if some other cases.

Yes very tight fit, careful taking it out. Loving mind so far, have the Google case with logo and liking the candy shell way more. Great grip.

Is the speck case overall wider than the fabric backed Nexus logo case?

Man I bought the black version but after seeing those pics I will buy the white one soon.

I have this exact case (with the same color). I highly recommend it.
It looks sleek and feels very hardy and rugged, like if I drop it I'll have absolutely no dents / scratches.
And it becomes pathetically easy to grab this inherently-slippy phone, which is the biggest plus out of all of them. Going to need it while walking in the New York City winter.

A little bit wider, dual layer and then the ridges add a tiny fraction. Dunno if I've been rough but case seems to scratch on the black easy enough. Doing its job anyhow ??

hmm. I mean free shipping and everything if I don't like it but I don't know. my ultra hybrid is great with a tempered glass, except the buttons are meh and I know that this speck case is a good case but I also know how it adds bulk. how do you feel about the poetic affinity case @zephiK?

Yup the only thing that I dislike about the Ultra Hybrid are the buttons, luckily we have the fingerprint scanner + my ROM has dt2s on status bar and navigation bar so I can bypass the buttons.

Glad to see that you've been enjoying the ride. It's nice to run away from the Chroma dev thread for awhile, it gets a bit crazy over there.
I'm just afraid that the 15% is the best we're going to get. Probably what I'll do is I'll wait for them to reply via Twitter, and then if they don't I'll just either skip and see if there's a better deal or just go for it. The Speck case does look really good, it'd be really nice if someone who has a Speck case to give some insight on how much extra bulk it would add compared to a Spigen ultra hybrid.

Is the main color white one see through at all? Or is it truly solid white? Because when picking the colors, the main color choices are black and white.

I did the cyan/smoke so I cant really answer about the other colors. But it looks to me that they're all solid.
The back of mine is smokey translucent.

I got one of these, along with the Dual Pro, the last week of December or the first week of January, for the Style, even tho I have the Pure. At that time the cases for the Style were half the cost of those for the Pure. It looks like Incipio has noticed the oversight and both versions are now the same price.
That being said, I really like both cases. The fit, hope alignment and button operation is very good.
The Dual Pro is just the tiniest bit larger than the Octane, but it's not noticeable, until you put them side by side and even then, it may be an optical allusion. The Dual Pro has a matted back, which provides a bit more grip than the hard, frosted back of the Octane.
Both have comfortable and grippy sides .
So, if you're interested in a bit more protection and no added bulk, I recommend the Dual Pro.

Has anyone found any nice Skins for this phone apart from Skinomi ?
I see skinomi lot of people complaining it comes off after 2 or 3 days , really looking to get a nice skin for this beast.

Here are the pics
Pretty happy. Ordered friday night and recieved it yesterday(tuesday). It was supposed to have tracking but i didnt get en email for that. Didnt matter anyways since it came in lije 3 days
Came with the back and these two small front pieces for the top earpiece area and the bottom lip.
Easy to apply. Came with simple instructions for the back. After applying ur supposed to run a credit card or somthing similar down the lines to get the skin to show the line/pattern of the back. So far none of the skin has lifted off where it was pressed down to contour to the pattern. **** looks nice as hell with the pattern shiwing. Almost like a replacement battery cover
Ive ordered a total of 4 skins from dbrand in the past and these two brands seem similar in the vinyl they use.. Although i do remember my nexus 4 skin being a little thicker( mohaganey wood) and i dont think that material would play well with the v10 back pattern. Probably why they dont make v10 skins
So far so good hasnt peeled in any corners from jean pocket. The storm trooper look is awesome

More like USPS is the culprit. Their charges and filling out the ridiculous paperwork is one reason I don't ship outside the US. It cost me twice as much to mail outside the US, plus the extra time it cost to fill out the paperwork and actually go to the post office.

so how long does that aramex take to ship to you? I used to trade/sell phones here on xda back in the day and on cto and people always asked me about shipping to their forwarding address. I always refused cause i thought it wasnt safe. I also have some family in the philippines that i ship stuff to but shipping costs gets expensive. looking for alternatives.

i also messaged them on instagram about more colors. they said they are going to bring 4 more matte colors at the same time they put up their iphone and echo skins. didnt say what colors though.

i also messaged them on instagram about more colors. they said they are going to bring 4 more matte colors at the same time they put up their iphone and echo skins. didnt say what colors though.

Just ordered some skins from stickerboy.net. there's a YouTube video showing the application. They look nice. Here's some pics off the site. I'll post pics after it comes and I apply it.

Have you received yours yet? Kinda bugs me that they only show mockups and no real pics like dbrand or 4tified.
edit: sorry.. i saw your post was dated the 22nd. let us know how it is once you receive them.

Came with the back and these two small front pieces for the top earpiece area and the bottom lip.
Easy to apply. Came with simple instructions for the back. After applying ur supposed to run a credit card or somthing similar down the lines to get the skin to show the line/pattern of the back. So far none of the skin has lifted off where it was pressed down to contour to the pattern. **** looks nice as hell with the pattern shiwing. Almost like a replacement battery cover
Ive ordered a total of 4 skins from dbrand in the past and these two brands seem similar in the vinyl they use.. Although i do remember my nexus 4 skin being a little thicker( mohaganey wood) and i dont think that material would play well with the v10 back pattern. Probably why they dont make v10 skins
So far so good hasnt peeled in any corners from jean pocket. The storm trooper look is awesome

Yeah. Still sticking no signs of lifting. My matte purple hasnt been used because im waiting until this white carbin fiber starts to peel.
I do have to wipe/clean it a lot because of the blue dye from my jeans. Its pretty easy to clean though.

Well, you win I wish almighty God is pleased. Look closely for the logo on the left side (on the third pic).

Using it on my Gold 6P too...its a great case with minimal protection and good grip

It's a good case for the price. But mine got yellow-ish tint and it is 7 months old now. It's plastic so it's expected I guess. I have a Verus case for backup (it bulks already big device quite a lot in my opinion - that's why it's backup)

Mine also had some yellow after a while, but still like the feel...

Yeah, that may happen. That's why I got the 2-pc bundle for $5.99 - that's 3 each. The twin should work out until I switch to my next phone.

I just got the three pack in the mail, ordered it as soon as I read your OP and saw how cheap they were on eBay.
Very slick and thin, but I change out cases frequently, and think I'll enjoy having this one in rotation.

I'm glad you like it.

Bought the 3 pack, arrived quickly and in good shape. I changed the back cover from silver to black a few months back, now I'm regretting it. This case looks amazing with a silver phone from what I can see with the pictures posted in this thread. Black, not much, but still fitment is good. It does cut into my pinky with the way I hold the phone, but whatever. It was 6 bucks, lol.
