I don't believe there is a L29 version doing the rounds yet, I did however sign up for the beta testing on L29 so if I get it I'll be sure to upload for you guys...

There is for L29. See the nougat thread Rom no. 24. All working fantastic since a week. No issues at all.

Unlock, flash TWRP and flash two files (update.zip, and update_data.zip) one after the other without rebooting from the Nougat post (Rom no. 24).

These Beta versions are early build of EMUI 5.0 for Huawei Mate. That’s why it appears to be having issues with Bluetooth, Keyboard input, Permissions, Notifications, Dual SIM Option and SIM compatibility, among other bugs.
You'd to wait for Official Stable Version.

No new firmwares

Till 389 Honor was releasing new firmware almost every week or two.
Now after 389 Firmware Finder can't find anything newer.
Do You think this means end of the line, or they work on something big ?

Should we wait for EMUI5.1? I heard the CEO of Huawei confirmed EMUI 6. Maybe the beta testing will start right after the release of Mate 10 ??

Hi guys stupid question I'm in the Oreo beta test,come Friday do you think hauwei will let me keep Oreo or will I have to go back to nougat? Cheers

You can go on in Oreo. But maybe you have to go back to update in the future.

probably there is no news till now. But u shall wait for some before flashing.

Nothing yet, as there's a beta only for honor 9.
We should know more in first month of 2018.

Go with custom but all having one or the other bug. so if you want, can switch to custom or stay back with stock. BTW, it may get Oreo. Not confirming anything though.

seems like honor 7x will get oreo update first.. there is no still clear statement from honor CEO mentioning about honor 6x's Oreo update..

It's important to keep in mind that Honor 8 is a flagship phone, 6X is a budget one. Anyway hope to get Oreo too

In other threads about the exact same "new" 140 updates, it's told that it is emui 4 with google security updates.
I I got it well, there is nothing to upload for firmware finder, as it searches on Huawei servers. Correct me if I'm wrong

Someone say that this version is marshmallow on another thread but it's not. Make firmware takes Time ! And Time is money ! They can't do 3 or 4 updates for 3 peoples in the World ! So for me it's test build for new updates (Oreo or nougat)
Since septembre, we can view 4 builds (B350,B351,B135,B140) ! B135 is a sp03 like the B392 sp01 was a test build for new 5.0.1 EMUI version !

Imho you're wrong when you think only few people still use MM on their honor 8.
Latest MM was 131, N is 3xx, and this is 140...
(edit) Look at firmware sizes, 131/140, all nougat roms..
When you have sources, upstreaming to google updated source might not be that hard.
Anyway, I can't tell more as I did not rollback to MM just to try this.
