[delete] Sim card stopped detecting - Android P beta - Google Pixel 2 Questions & Answers

I was on Android P beta build, today morning I felt a small lag in the UI and so I restarted the phone. Data connection was turned on and being used during this period of time. But since after the restart, my SIM card is not detecting. I powered off and on restarted several times but no luck. What is the next possible diagnosis to sort out this issue.?
I am from India and my operator is Idea.
Edit: Issue was with my operator. They provided me duplicate sim card and the issue has been resolved. Please delete the post.

SIM not allowed MM#3

wtf, I'm having problems and I get this error randomly,
"SIM not allowed MM#3" I get this error and it stops working the sim card.
I have to be constantly alternating between airplane mode and normal, so it stays.
I had this error from 2.3.6 and now in the new 4.0.4 ota remains,
is hardware problem?, clarified that this phone will not I have an AT & T simcard, this phone I bought and brought to another country with another operator.
They are freed buy phones that AT & T, I wonder if it's a problem with the AT & T bloatware that interferes with this.

N5 has No service, No data and SIM card sometimes not recognized

Heres whats going on
I have reset the N5, and flashed the July MM image. Everything flashed fine.
I insert SIM before booting, Android doesnt see SIM... so i pulled out the SIM and reinsert while on, and it sees it.
The Signal goes into an empty triangle... It says you have voicemail. And nothing else happens.
No data, no service. *#*#4636#*#* shows the right selection, it gives me the option to turn on the radio, but if i click it, nothing ever happens.
Under phone info, it sees my phone number, the IMEI is fine, and its not blacklisted when i check multiple carrier's websites.
I just cant seem to figure out why it wont just acquire service signal even when APN settings are right.
Anyone got any tips, tricks or solutions to this?
Possibly damaged sim card or sim card reader?

dont think so, i think its software maybe.... When i do *#*#4636#*#* it will show my phone number on the top... if i remove SIM, the number becomes "unknown"... so i dunno
If it happens with all SIM cards, it could be a damaged sim reader as different areas of the SIM card contains different information? Not sure.
I have similar problem with MOB30P on T-Mobile network. The 4G LTE would work just fine (I can browse web etc), but the voice is where it is failing hard. I would have dropped calls along with calls not coming through (both calling out and receiving calls).
I downgraded to MOB30M and everything appears to working fine now. I have not opened any bug against Android yet, because I am not sure if I am the only one experiencing this problem.
Hi, I was googling for a problem like your one. My N5 does not recognise the sim at boot, but only if it is "hot". If I put it in the fridge for ten minutes and then reboot, all works fine until the next shutdown. I'm sure it's an hardware problem (already tried different sim) so I disassembled all the phone, and it looks perfect. With some cleaner for electrical contacts it can survive for some days, and then starts again. So sad, I don't want to change phone just for this stupid problem XD
I'm getting exact same issue with my Nexus 5 since CM13 0803 update, which brings MOB30Y to my phone I believe.
At first my phone could still recognize my carrier (China Unicom), but there is no signal.
Then I flash radio image from MOB30Y and the phone now cannot find SIM card completely.
Even reflashing factory image doesn't help.
I'm now trying to reflashing MOB30P to see if it helps.
Update to latest August security update radio and bootloader

Mi4i does has no signal with a specific and functional sim card

Hey!
I have a strange problem with my Mi4i (MIUI 7.5.2.0). The phone shows "no signal" or "emergency calls only" with a specific sim card, which works in other phones and used to work in the phone in the past.
The device works well with other sim cards too, even from the same provider. Just not with the specific sim card, which happens to be the one i would like to use. I cannot remember if the problem occured after an update (ota only).
I have tried so far, without any effect:
- a factory reset, without deleting the personal content.
- ordered and tried a new sim card from my provider
There seem to be similar threads in this forum, but they do not adress exactly my problem afaik.
Does someone has an idea what else i can try? I will provide further information if needed.
Thanks in advance!

Might be an unsupported band. What phone have tried the sim with?
Thanks for reading . Oneplus One, iPhone 5C. Sorry i forget to tell the sim card worked in the Mi4i. I didn't use the phone for a while and i might have updated it (ota) when i turned it on again recently. I guess the problem persists since then.
Any chance the update caused it?
did a full wipe and reinstalled miui (7) in fastboot mode. no change. the sim card works fine with other phones. the phone works with other sim cards fine too. just not with my main one

Wifi problem when my G.Pixel does not have a SIM card

Hi everyone,
I jout bought my Google Pixel few days ago. Things went fine but yesterday, when i take off my SIM card from my phone, my Home Wifi (connected before) suddenly disappeared. Other networks around are still fine, just connected one gone. When i re-insert my SIM card, they appear again.
Im using android stock 7.1.1; no root. Please tell me it is a security feature or a problem, bcz i haven't met this issue on my previous devices. If it is a problem, please suggest me a solution.

SIM Card connection acting up since 10.3 update

Hello guys,
Since last update I have some weird issues with my phone.
The issue:
Randomly the phone will go into "no sim inserted" mode.
Within seconds the sim will "reconnect" and get network again.
One the issue happens, it does it non stop ever few minutes, also draining the battery in the process
This happens exactly since I updated to 10.3.0.
What I have tried:
- Rebooting the phone - No improvement.
- Removing the sim and putting it back in - fixes the issue for a couple of days
- Changing sim tray - Same as above
Carrier: SFR-RED (France).
Phone is unlocked and rooted with latest magisk.
Any of you have a clue what this can be?
Thanks
