I have a thread going on all ready but cannot add to post. I have a Huawei Y6 Pro (locked) but I have (FRP Unlocked) via Developers Options. This is a phone I bough from ebay/china. I would like to throw in that the phone was supposed to be the "Huawei Enjoy-7, but the Y6 Pro is what they sent me and it is unlocked. How am I sure it is a Y6 you may question, well I checked it in settings/about phone.
Here is the link so you know what the phone is.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/HUAWEI-Enjoy-7-Unlocked-5-0-inch-2GB-16GB-Android-7-0-Quad-Core-4G-Smartphone/202146351761?hash=item2f10dc8a91:m:m_vN-35KH1iZuchUqi7_dpA
I need to have the phone "unlocked". It was supposed to be if u look at stats but I got the shaft of china here and it upsets me for I have never been ripped from there yet till now. Seller is of no help but with a run around. Huawei support does have a site to "unlock" but there has to be a flaw in their page for I can not get it to show me a unlock code. I can get to "fastboot" via a terminal via windows. But until I get a unlock code I can do nothing.
Code:

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to unlock the phone. I will remind that Huawei gives no help on a unlock code and this phone is legit, no bad IMEI number verified.
In Developers Options, have you enabled, OEM Unlock and USB Debugging ?

Oscar, Yes that is correct as you ask.
Not Unlocked but [Closed]
Shipper decided this morn to issue me a PrePaid Shipping Label for a "full refund"
Per what Huawei told me this model can No Longer be Unlocked. I'm tried of trying to blow my brain out on this anymore. So that is that and be aware of the seller on ebay please. I went thru alot to get a refund.

Hello!
Recenty I rooted my HTC Desire S and want it unrooted again to install ICS.
I tried to install ICS, but the install keeps failing.
Problem is I am unable to reverse the root.
1. Phone is rooted (and still running Gingerbread)
2. HDBOOT has been updated to 2.00.0002
3. Phone is S-ON (never had it S-OFF I think because I used HTCDev to root it)
Can someone PLEASE help me with this? I really do not know what to do now and desperatly want to install ICS.
Thank you and kind regards!
reboot to bootloader, connect to pc, type in cmd
Code:
fastboot oem lock
then run the RUU
this topic was discussed thousand of times in the very recent threads. It will be much helpful both for you and your device if you do some reading to make sure that you completely understand what are you doing to the phone before actually doing anything
Thank you very much for your help and advice, it would indeed be better to double-check everything in the future...
I tried your advice, but the cmd gives me the following error:

Make sure you have fastboot properly installed, HTC Drivers as well, if yes try another USB cable. Make sure that FASTBOOT USB is written on the device screen when issuing the command. Make sure that the out put of the
Code:
fastboot devices
command gives you your serial number, not an empty line
Seems to work now! Thank you!
PS: Installed and rebooted correctly, but the UI is loading for allready 15 minutes or so? Should I wait or just try to reboot it again (while it's still loading)?
Again, thank you for your assistance!
Hi All,
I have a mediapad X2 that I would like to root. The first step in all the guides is to obviously unlock the bootloader.
I went through the Huawei page, and also emailed Huawei, and both returned the same 16-digit unlock code. Great right? Not quite.
The Setup:
1.) ADB and Fastboot BOTH detect the phone just fine and "adb setup 1.42" drivers are installed. No issues here
2.) I Did try on 3 different windows machines (One Desktop, 2 laptops)
3.) I Did try on different USB ports
4.) USB Debugging is enabled
5.) I tried the following root methods. ALL HAVE FAILED (varying behavior and error messages)
Chainfire
Super-Root
Towel Root
RootGenius
iRoot (warning: This installs a CRAPLOAD of malware and spyware) and it worked to root the X1 I had but not the X2
6.) The phone had not previously been tampered with, or rooted in any way. The bootloader still shows "PHONE LOCKED"
7.) Build Number: GEM-703LV100R001C233B013
The Issue:
I keep getting the following error:
Without specifying the code:
C:\Users\BPCS\Desktop\root>fastboot oem unlock
...
FAILED (status malformed (1 bytes))
finished. total time: 0.016s

With specifying the code
C:\Windows\system32>fastboot oem unlock <code_removed_for_privacy_but_typed_here>

Hi
Can somebody help me. I tried to unlock bootloader but i get this error.
OKAY [ 1.491s]
writing 'recovery'...
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)

This is not a result of unlocking bootloader command. You're trying to flash a new recovery image. Do you have an unlocked bootloader? You can check in fastboot mode, on your phone's screen.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-6/development/honor-6-rooting-method-t2962795 There's a tutorial on unlocking the bootloader here. It's a bit chaotic, but the general idea is that you need to go to (you may need to use google translate if the site is in Chinese) http://www.emui.com/plugin.php?id=unlock&mod=detail register email account, log in, go to http://www.emui.com/plugin.php?id=unlock&mod=detail again if it doesn't go there automatically, on your phone check IMEI with *#06# , Product ID with *#*#1357946#*#* , Phone Serial Number in "Settings -> About Phone -> Status (phone information?) -> somewhere here on the list" There should be a code available after you fill all the fields in, you need to use "fastboot oem unlock CODE"
as the title states my device is a pixel 2 walleye android 10 since i got it iv never had a sim in it (i recently tried a virgin sim and it works in the device )but oem unlock stays greyed out i tried every command i could think of in cmd but alas i got nothing i did get a "download mode" to show up in my bootloader but if i boot to it i get an error in yellow at the bottom and none of the commands in cmd work im just trying to oem unlock can anyone help me or is there a place i can trade this garbage to get something worth my time
bootloader is mw8998-002.0079.00
i ran the command fastboot oem device-info and the info i got is
c:\adb>fastboot oem device-info
(bootloader) Verity mode: true
(bootloader) Device unlocked: false
(bootloader) Device critical unlocked: true
(bootloader) Charger screen enabled: true
OKAY [ 0.004s]
Finished. Total time: 0.005s
the device is a google edition as far as i knew and it says critical is unlocked tried running the flashall.bat with a stock rom realized i needed oem unlocking for that so that was a no go is there anyone out there in this world that can help

Hi there,
New to this forum, apologies if I mess something up! I'm trying to install Graphene or LineageOS on my Moto G8, but am running into issues getting the OEM unlock code to get the unlock key from Motorola. Fastboot is working -- when I run fastboot devices in my Command Prompt (I'm on W11), it shows me my phone's S# and "fastboot" next to it. However, when I try to run anything else (flashing and OEM commands), I receive this error:
Code:
FAILED (remote: 'unknown command')
fastboot: error: Command failed
Does this mean my phone can't be unlocked, period? I theoretically should be able to, according to where I bought it from. I have ADB and fastboot files downloaded, my cmd is in the right dir, drivers have been updated, USB ports and cables changed, nothing changes. I also tried on my Macbook with the same results.
Yes, OEM unlocking is on in developer settings, as well as the other settings I need. The USB protocol is set to PTP. I also followed directions from this blog post on how to manually set drivers. It's set to "MTP USB Device" right now.
Any advice would be appreciated, thank you! Apologies if I do this wrong.
