I have unlocked bootloader before. Flash and upgrade to 8.0 normally.
But yesterday i downgraded to nougat, after reboot and factory reset, android force me to upgrade to 8.0 again. I dont have anyway to skip it (at first boot setup wizard). So i download and upgrade to 8.0.
BUT BUT BUT!!! After upgrade to Oreo, i cant boot into android, it stuck at update screen and request to update again, but i cant do it anyway, touch update and it always appear again. More, i cant boot into recovery, it shows "there is no command", i use fastboot and it show at cmd window: "device locked" like as my phone has been lock bootloader, but i cant unlock, it show "failed"
Now, i cant do anything:
Use OST --> it force to upgrade, while im at oreo
TWRP cant flash or sideload the OTA zip
HELP

Factory reset, remove sim and don't enable Wi-Fi when you start the phone until you have finished setup
Also to unlock device, use OST but only edit phone information. After you get FTM error disconnect phone and restart. DON'T CLICK ON NEXT

So I updated my FRD-L04 to the Nougat Beta, and while I was following the instructions and Flashesd the Update. For some reason I lost TWRP and cant boot into recovery, my bootloader is unlocked.....however in developer options OEM Unlock is grey out and i cant enable it.... So when ever i try to run a command through fastboot it says is not allow.... and when i try ti re-lock the bootloader i get FAILED (remote: root type is risk)... I try to roll back package from Huawei website but that also fails..... Now i dont know what to do.
I am in the same boat. Did the new beta via twrp. My usb debug was greyed out but i was able to to get it to turn on for short moments.
I have now lost twrp and now the phone wont even boot the the Android 7 beta os!
I have fastboot but when i try to fastboot flash system or cust they both fail. My bootloader is still unlocked tho.
edit: I downloaded the beta flashable zip and the update that is seperate. I took out the boot recovery cust and system from them and was able to flash them via fastboot. The phone now boots back to the android 7.0 beta. Phew!!!!!
Now to attempt downgrade to 6.0 adn get twrp back
You should look for a downgrade package
Since you have lost TWRP, I think you will have to reinstall it and root your device again.

Like I mention on my initial post I have already tried the downgrade package..but it does not work. I can't enable oem unlock since is grayed out ... my boot loader is unlock and I can't use the phone but NFC Bluetooth etc does not work.. I even tried to flash the downgrade package recovery and boot image through fast boot but it's not allow since I can't enable oem unlock...
I'll research a bit and see If I can find something
Ok so, this isn't my first time flashing and returning to stock with phones, just the worst. Any help is appreciated.
I unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP and tried to flash a few ROMS which were not working great so I went to go back to stock and then the **** show happened. Its the LO4 Model. I flashed stock recovery, Relocked the bootloader and tried the Force Flash Update method. Well now the phone is stuck in a boot loop(Cant power it down), cant boot to erecovery/ recovery -- I can get to fast boot mode but the FRP is locked so I can not do anything all commands fail with an error.
Any thoughts? I just need to get it back to stock OR a working ROM- I plan on selling this phone and My wife (it was her phone) has upgraded to a Galaxy S9. If I cant get it to work, I will post it on swappa as is for a cheap price
Thanks!
Same Issue
I did the same thing, however when in fastboot type fastboot oem unlock (put the code here) and this will unlock your bootloader. I did this I even managed to flash the stock system cust recovery and boot, but it doesnt boot into recovory, erecover, or even download mode to download the software from the sd card. Any ideas?
I tried that fastboot code and I get an error because of the FRP lock
My bootloader is unlock but oem is automatic Lock and i can not on this. So what can i do?and my phone is not open when i hard reset my phone. Its stack on boot ts say your phone is booting Now please wet.and i dont have any recovery options . Because i m unlock bootloader and frp and install twrp recovery after that its automatic not showing when i go recovery. Its gone forever. Now im trying to again install twrp and root my phone but i can't unlock frp. Because hard reset problem. Remote command not wotking.so what can i do.i need your help. Please help me soon.im stack..
Just download firmware for your device and install it with twrp, then wipe date and it will boot normaly
If you can't, i think you need to get help with Dc-phoenix.. he can write even the fastboot is locked
A really easy way to completely fix your phone would be to flash the official firmware using the DLOAD method with an SD card.
I have a phone (Moto G8), I wanted to get rid of TWRP and I thought that just locking the bootloader will do it.
I only after saw that if you lock the bootloader with TWRP flashed you get into a boot-loop.
I found out that I can only use "fastboot boot" to boot into stuff because of the error stating: "Your device is corrupt. It can't be trusted and will not boot.".
Even if I go into the recovery mode the same error message would appear.
I know that by unlocking the bootloader I could get rid of that error but I don't have an unlocked bootloader and,
as most of you already know, after relocking the bootloader you need to enable OEM unlocking from developer options.
That was a huge problem since I couldn't access the phone at all besides the
bootloader, TWRP (although limited by the locked bootloader), and the default recovery.
That way I got into TWRP but I couldn't do much because of the locked bootloader.
Even if I had a full backup (which I didn't have) I couldn't do much.
I also tried downloading the full OTA image of an updated version of Android (I had Android 10 and I tried to go to Android 11)
to sideload but I couldn't find it. I found one but it was not a full OTA image (with bootloader, recovery, etc.) and I got an error message saying:
"Invalid zip verification signature" or something like that. Also, the error was happening at the start of the ADB sideload, I didn't know what else I could try.
So I have a question: Since I can use "fastboot boot" to bypass the error message,
is there maybe a bootable .img file that I can use to boot directly into the system and enable OEM unlocking?
Any help would be highly appreciated as well any other way to enable OEM unlocking through the bootloader or somehow ADB.
I've recently bricked my device trying to install LineageOS, long story short I had to use MSM Tool in order to flash a new, stock ROM. Since I did that I am unable to unlock the bootloader: everytime I do the phone bricks with this following Yellow message on the screen: "upgrade download failed please check your download flow is right". After that I have to use the MSM Tool again to unbrick the Yellow text.
Any ideata how I might unlock the bootloader? Aside from that, the phone works fine.
EDIT: I managed to fix this by OEM updating my device to Android 11 and *then* unlocking the bootloader. Another issue has arisen now, though: whenever I try to boot TWRP from fastboot, the phone reboots and gets stuck in the "Fastboot Mode" OnePlus logo screen. Would anyone know how to fix this, or maybe is there a way to root your phone without using a custom recovery?

Yes you can ,,install thru boot loader with ADB and fastboot CMD. First you need to extract the boot.img from your oos rom, patch it in magisk app, then put it in your adb folder and run the cmd " fastboot flash boot boot.img .
