Hi techman1893
I have the same problem, ionic demo mode model. Did you make any progress in resetting to a normal firmware?
Thanks

I recently purchased a Shield to be my only & main Android gaming platform. The first game I spent money on was Ravensword: Shadowlands, but I cannot get it to launch using the controller. On startup, the game asks whether you would like to use a controller or not. If I select no, the game runs perfectly fine, but the Shield is unfortunately not designed with touch-only gaming in mind. When I do select yes, the game will make it past all the loading screens, get to the main menu as if it is running normally, but the menu itself wont load, just the background. It is animated and the sound does work.
I have scoured the internet for any sort of answer on this, and Crescent Moon Games (Developer) website seems to be down, so I cannot really contact anybody. I am sort of just looking to see if anyone else got it to launch, or if anyone else has experienced this issue with other games and discovered a workaround.
And thus it's not published as a game tile in SHIELD STORE.
i hope the game developers fix this.
This is definitely not a Nvidia issue!
I am really hoping the developers fix this; from what I have seen and played with the touch screen, the game is loads of fun (I did have pretty high expectations for $7.00 ) I would love to get ahold of the developers and inform them and help however I can, I'd like to think that would help. They might not even know that this game doesn't work with the Shield.
Anywho, has anyone encountered similar problems? At this point, I am willing to experiment to try and resolve this, but I am unfortunately a complete Android noob. I could post a video of the problem if that would help, but I do not know exactly how to capture whats happening on the Shield's screen.

Done and done.
I will try and update this list more often, my Steam game list is massive (365 titles and growing) and it is the weekend.
I don't have a shield but this game does this on my device when I try to load with controller.

I have the exact same issue with my Shield. hangs up at the start screen, with no buttons displayed, with that giant black spot in the background.
I have the same error on all my Android devices when I have a bluetooth gamepad connected. I think the developer has pretty much given up on the game at this point.
I've contacted the veleoper a few weeks ago.
He told me it isn't optimized for Shield...
"The game doesn't support Nvidia shield, sorry for the trouble."

Links are posted so you guys can get info, NOT FOR ADVERTISING. so in short , theres no flight mode in it, it looks like a good watch, but having to charge it every day is just insane, i could really use a flight mode or something, i heard someone these work like phones and need an app in some .xpf format (probably got the format wrong). the similar watch ive found online is the U8 , the dz09 is also similar but that one has a flight mode. i also do NOT want to flash it. the black and white digital face is great and i dont want to lose it as IVE NOT FOUND ANYTHING RELATING TO THE WATCH ONLINE. searching online is useless, any person who has something similar wanna share his ways of working around it. i want to use it as a cool watch. its a christmas gift, dont want to trash it ( im feeling like i might not work well without the NO flight mode and battery drain).
THANKS IN ADVANCE !
MODS please dont remove the links, theres almost no info online about this smart watch.

I'd have thought this was the No1 Need-to-have app, and i can see a lot of people requesting this in different forums, but no luck yet finding it.
Can someone help me with my eager search to find an app to control the Samsung S8 phone and put it in DND mode just as easy as the watch is able to put itself in DND mode.
Will pay finders fee, or even developers fee to come up with it.
BR, Claus
"Toggle Gear " ?
You can set phone HP to mute or vibe or sound.
Maybe the wrong place - but can I visit or get to the S3 Gear Shop on my computer using a browser. It would be easier to read and certainly easier search for things like the OP requested. On my phone, the text/fonts in the Gear App/shop are thin and wispy and harder to reader.

Download Samsung Sidesync to phone and PC. Allows you to display and use the phone on computer monitor. Haven't used it much but seems to work on initial start up

Don't you need a Samsung phone to use Sidesync? I don't have a Samsung phone. I guess I can see if it works.

It will most likely require a Samsung phone. How are you going to the Galaxy App store?

I am using my Android Blackberry Priv and the Gear app. S-health works fine on the phone - it is readable and reasonable (although I would not mine a full size desktop access module).
That phone works but the fonts used in displaying Gear Watch apps are thin, light and wispy making it hard to read. Also, when I read reviews or comments on apps in my browser on computer, I would like to be able to quickly look at the info and not have to pull out my phone and struggle to read the poor fonts on the phone.
Control phone from gear s3
Instal Tasker on your phone and tasks2 on your gear. In tasker it is possible to control almost any thing on your phone. I suggest you do a search for correct instructions on setup. It is not difficult as I have done it, if only I could remember exactly how.

This is the best way to do what you want. Tasker has a bit of a learning curve, but it's the best app available for Android.
New to the forums and first post but had a question before I give up and grab a Garmin.
Trying to change the display faces while in running mode on my watch using S Health. Not committed to S Health program if theres another stand alone no phone needed program. By display faces I mean the info thats shown on screen one (change the large display of run time to pace specifically). Also if anyone knows how to keep the display on while running I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks everyone.
EDIT - Going to try out Endomondo since I can customize the data fields. Fingers crossed its accurate as a stand alone

You can customize the data fields in S health as well, just go to S health/training and next to the exercise is the option to customize all you want. I use it everyday and after the 4.0.1 update is working great.
Also if you want to keep the screen on I think is not possible because you can burn the screen... in that case use the wristband gesture to turn it on.
So far I've tried a bunch of the digital options on the watch4 from the playstore.
This is the one closest to what I want is this
Chrono
What this is missing is couple more complications and/or more weather info.
I'd love to have more customizable shortcuts like assistant, and Google wallet (aka Google pay)
I'm wondering if facer or something similar would have what I'm looking for?
I've been using watch faces from this developer. Never had an issue.
Most are very customizable .

I figured out why I can't find a watchface that has all I want... In watchface studio I can only have a max of 8 complications.... So **** me
I decided to switch to bubble cloud launcher since I can have as many complications as I want in bubble form on my watchface
Hello @spart0n,There are so many different versions of watches to choose from. Basically, it all comes down to what exactly you need for functionality.
What are you looking to get out of the watches features or how the watch itself looks?
How well do you want the watch to perform in regard to speed?
How much storage space are you looking for?
And which brand or model of device are you most comfortable using?
There's probably something I'm leaving out, but that's the general questions I ask myself when shopping for a new tech gadget.Thank you!Thisguy12win

Hello @spart0n,
So you should definitely make sure you're looking through the forums properly for the correct phone model, version, android or iOS version, and most up to date version you need. These are definitely factors you NEED in order to modify your device properly. However, I may have modified something in the past using a different version that somehow just worked. But I wouldn't recommend it.

Do you use an app called FACER? Heaps of awesome face available.
@spart0n,
To be perfectly honest, I don't own a watch, nor have I owned a watch for years as I've always used my phone for a clock. So I'm definitely not an expert on watches or watch faces. They do look pretty sweet though. If I was looking @ purchasing a new watch, I would Google search for some watches and choose the one with the best reviews. Happy shopping and holidays!
Thank you
