Is it just me or summoning the Google Assistant doesn't offer the sound notification to let you know it's listening. It's only happening on my OP6
Mine is also silent.

For some reason, I don’t get any notification sounds when I receive messages via Google voice. This is my only text service.
I have checked all the settings and even the settings within the GV app. The volume is up all the way.
Yes my speakers work perfectly, but I’m just not notified with a sound when I get a message.
What’s wrong?
Rebump. Quickly getting buried.
Does anyone know of any way I can filter certain apps to still play a notification noise even when the phone is on silent or vibrate? I want my calendar app to always play a sound, as I sometimes can't feel it vibrate in my pocket, but there isn't an option in the app itself. I'm running a rooted/unlocked One M8 with ViperROM if that matters.
Hi all,
I’ve got three doubts:
When I am using Google Maps (either with or without Android Auto) and someone calls me, at first a heads up notification that doesn't cover the entire screen appears, but when I respond the call, then the entire screen is occupied by the dialer app, leaving me without visual GPS directions. This didn't happen with other smartphones using the Google dialer app. In fact, if I'm in a car, I can minimise the call so that I can continue seeing Google Maps, but it’s not possible to do when riding a motorcycle. Do you know if it's possible to answer a call but maintaining the call minimised? This problem doesn’t happen with Waze because it has an option to keep Waze always in the foreground, but Maps hasn’t got this option.
When I’m in a call and sound notifications are on, apps such as Telegram or a radio app I have, keep ringing even when you’re in a call, which is kind of annoying, especially when you’re listening to the radio and someone calls you and you have both the radio and the call running at the same time, disgusting. I’ve found no way to mute notifications during a call, just by using Do not disturb mode all the time (I've seen that Android Nougat automatically activates the Do not disturb mode during a call, but this doesn't happen in my Honor 6X), but then you have never sound. Do you know any way to fix it without needing to always use the Do not disturb mode?
I’ve set Google Play Music as the predetermined app for music instead of the EMUI music app. However, when I use the Bluetooth in my motorcycle helmet (Cardo Scala Rider Q1) and I push the button to play some music, sometimes the EMUI music app is launched instead of the Google Play Music app. It happens at random, there are no patterns, but it’s quite annoying. Any solution out there?
Best!
Sorry I have no idea...
What do the series of beeps mean after getting a notification from Google Assistant while wearing factory earbuds that come with Pixel 3? Is it just a confirmation that my notifications are finished? And if so, can I turn them off? Is there a YouTube video or a website that fully breaks down the Assistant?
Thanks, Vince
I heard some new beeps using maps navigation today. Not sure if it was a system or app sound.
Just switched to sony Xperia from iOS. Couple things driving me batty but I hope there are fixes.
I have notification sounds on, but when I'm watching YouTube, listening to music or on TikTok, the media fades and the notification sounds loud which is so annoying and I don't care to switch to do not disturb or silent every time I want to use one of those apps. Is there a way to have the notifications automatically silently pop up when consuming media https://nox.tips/ https://xender.vip/ .
The qr scanner in the notification shade only opens black and doesn't use the camera when open - is there a way to fix this
The speakers and the microphone are TERRIBLE, I am getting constant complaints from whom I am on the phone to - is there a way to fix this?
Thank you

First of all, Welcome to XDA!
I don't know much about Sony devices and I also don't "i" anything, however, the Android operating system, in general has some settings and features common to most devices.
The notification thing, yeah, crazy right? Crank up the volume on your favorite tune and PING! We shouldn't have to "fix" it, anyways, you have some options:
In your settings, open the app drawer to all your apps, and tap through Settings/Sound & vibration
You can adjust the volume levels for media, call volume, ring & notifications and the alarm. It can be tedious though, I use the Do Not Disturb feature. You can do more than just turn it on and off:
[Based on my Google Pixel 7 Pro, Stock Firmware]
Beneath the "Turn on now" button, first option is "What can interrupt Do Not Disturb", People | Apps | Alarms & other
You can create schedules, set a duration for when you tap the QS tile, and even keep hidden notification hidden. It's one of the most used features on my phones.
I only allow what I consider "HIGH Priority", family and work, everyone else can leave a message. I use Amazon music, so it and the Google don't get along too well, I *think* with other services you can connect with your device "assistant", or whatever AI it has. I don't know Sony devices, did I mention that?
As far as your hardware (cam and speakers), I don't know what to tell you other than the Google Pixel has the best cam experience and most Android phones have crappy speakers. There are some audio mods around here though, they can do wonders for some devices.
Best of luck and I hope you don't go back to iOS,
Nepo
