HTC One SV cant clear cache - HTC One SV

Hi
I have 2 HTC One sv phones and having issue with both I press volume down and power to get into options however when I select recover it just reboots the phone and doesn't take me into the option to clear cache.
I have nothing installed on phone have 4gb SD cards yet keep getting memory full message there is nothing to uninstall to help fix this issue.
Please advise

I have decided to root the device so far i have unlocked the bootloader. Now i have done some research but i'm unsure of which custom recovery (CWM/TWRP i should install.
please advise

You should protect the hardware keys.
In this model it is important because they often break down.
Therefore, use TWRP touch recovery and uncheck "enable screen timeout".
In the system, install the Gravity Screen so that the screen can be turned on using the proximity sensor, not with the Power key.

There are many variants of the HTC One SV.
You have to choose the right TWRP 2.7.x.x or 2.8.x.x yourself, because I do not know your OSV.
That's it from my side.
Good luck.

[Q][SOLVED] Nexus S I9023 - NO Recovery in Fastboot

Hi Guys,
I have a Nexus S EU version I9023 and I wanted to get ICS. I flashed the 128 mb ICS image manually through fastboot recovery, however, I wanted to go back and try to flash it again or flash 2.3.6 on the phone again but it's not working.
It's going into fastboot and I can choose what I want from the menu but when I choose Recovery, it shows the Google screen, Flashes the Android with a little "Matrix" ball in front of it and then it freezes at a black screen, with the soft buttons lit up.
Could anyone tell me what happened and if it can be fixed?
PS: When I press VolumeUp+Power at the black screen, it resets!

Thing is, I don't have clockworkmod installed at all. It's a clean Nexus S, NO root, NO CWM, no nothing.
I truly hope that somebody will have an answer to this or that, at least, I won't loose any OTA updates from Google by making this update.
The stock ics recovery turns off the backlight on the 9023, it has been explained countless times. Point a flashlight at it and u should be able to see what's actually there.

Exactly. I've had the same problem than OP and fixed it today. Just use a very bright lamp, try to find a good angle and you may see the recovery menu (it's hard to see, you'd better be comfortable with the navigation on the recovery menu as you may not be able to read everything).
it depends what you want to do from here on. the bright light method did not work for me so i installed cwmrecovery with bootloader.
if u are waiting for the next ota, do nothing as you wont need stock recovery to install update.
if you wanna downgrade or flash different rom, you can install cwmrecovery and use that from thr..
no need to access stock recovery
i panicked as well when it happened but ntg to worry about

Booting only to hboot

Hi guys,
Could you please help me out here a bit? Got a desire S here that is booting only into the hboot mode no matter what I try. I can navigate only in the down direction and when I press power to confirm a selection, it would not do anything. It kind of looks like the down button is constantly pressed and I don't know how to bypass it... Would you have a hint?
Thank you so much

If this is a software problem, you may be able to factory reset from the HBOOT menu which should clean everything and allow you to use it as if it hasn't been used. Otherwise you might have a hardware fault.
Did these symptoms happen after you flashed something? Dropped the phone?
Are you S-OFF, unlocked bootloader or have a custom recovery?

Phone is unlocked on the latest hboot/radio. I would do factory reset, however, i can't confirm anything in the menu.... It just wouldn't respond. It might be an issue with the buttons themselves, I'm looking if there is a way to bypass the hw buttons somehow using the usb cable... Haven't figured out yet how to disable them yet... Btw, it happened during normal operation and there were issues with the buttons before... I'll keep looking but wanted another mind in it
Thank you

If you're entering the fastboot screen rather than the hboot screen then to resume booting you can issue
Code:
fastboot continue
I'm not sure how to navigate hboot via USB if you're not in the fastboot section; I'm sure it's possible but there may not be a program as readily available as adb or fastboot.

wow sounds serious pal. I'd recommend a full reset to factory and unroot it.

Recovery only..

I have a Oneplus One here and tried to install a rom onto it after wiping everything.
When I plug it in the charger it goes to recovery, when I reboot to bootloader it does the same, after flashing too.
How can I recover it?
Did you install TWRP or CWM ? If so try another rom , if not read up on adb and install custom recovery first and find out if your bl is unlocked , if not start there , theres alot of reading you need to do

I have TWRP. I had a rom installed so the bootloader is unlocked. All the guides suggest fixing it via fastboot but I cannot access that.. I think the partitions are messed up...

Hey I think you have same problem as me. It's the volume button. It's stuck at Volume - (down). So every time you start your phone, it think you want to go to Recovery. What I did was, I tap the phone little hard on my hand sideways when I boot it up. That unstucks the volume button.
It works for me but not sure if it is the correct way. Just a suggestion. Don't hold me responsible if it breaks anything else.

I wish it was that easy. I didn't have the back cover on it when I tried this.
Did you have a backup of the previous rom (if one) that would save you the trouble, if not , adb

Yes I will write a guide soon. You loose fastboot after OTA, what I do is unpack OTA files and flash from fastboot without touching bootloader, then it's ok.

I have a Smartisan Nut3(aka u3) and have not been able to use it in months! Because unfortunately I can't bypass lockscreen, and recovery menu ( by holding vol dwn + power at startup) has no factory reset option! Only: reboot, reboot to bootloader ( Which only restarts phone to lockscreen), Apply update from ADB( tried using but USB debugging is lock I assume etc or I could be doing it incorrectly to bypass lockscreen or factory resetting it), apply update from SD card ( also tried but when I put card in I can't locate it. And when I go this menu without a SD in phone it still displays this long file list as if theirs a SD card in it. It always shows same files.), Wipe cache partition, shutdown.
And I've done all the YouTube methods to bypass lockscreen etc. I would love to get this phone working. It has become a constant ache, one of those little tech problems that's become to fully test me, beating me. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you.
