i have searched but cannot fin a noobs guide how to rebrand my Huawei p9 from Vodafone UK to a Generic Handset
please could anyone explain and a link to the correct rom

First u need to unlock bootloader, install TWRP and root the phone.
I really screwed up!
I wanted to change firmwares from al-00 to l-09 (chinese to european) so I tried to debrand it first.
From what I've seen on other threads this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZVsIKtdgV4&t) was also applicable to honor 8.
My problem is that I've changed the oeminfo & custom.bin to that of a huawei p9 and the phone is now bricked, if anyone knows how to help it would really be appreciated

Nah, the phone thinks it's a Huawei P9 so I can't do anything like that
So I have the Chinese variant of this phone. Running emui 5.0.1 and android 7.0. I've tried to get the bootloader image through hauwei's website. I've also called them, to which they've told me, they don't provide that help. So I have two questions. Can I flash the US rom on this device? Or can anyone provide the bootloader unlock file? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Just to let everyone Know I just tried Huawei unlocking bootloader page and provided my unlock code instantly, my bootloader unlocked right away!

I have the same model, but I don't know how to rebrand it correctly. All the guides are for the CLT-L09 or CLT-L29.

Sorry for asking a stupid question but I can't seem to be able to register for a Huawei ID. The email verification code doesn't show up in my email.
Also, there's no Canadian region option...

Try to verify by phone, and do not think it matters what region you pick.

I would like to Root, for our model I think it's premature, be patient sooner than later there will be a way, the important part is unlocking bootloader since they will get rid of.
I am having the error: 'The Huawei ID used to apply for the unlock code has not been used on the device for more than 14 days.' :crying: :crying:

Now I have to send it in because of warranty.
Im new at this so i have no idea how to do it.. can someone help me?

It would be cool if someone could give me a good tutorial with all links and programs i need.

Try this link, as reported by one member here name theorlyowl that person has able to relock the bootloader, you would need the unlock code though-
