Yeah, he should totally have known that you're using it right now and, therefore, that it's legit.
why should it not be legit? But i honestly don't see the point in that. If you tried out Android P beta and want to revert to regular HydrogenOS, there's also a full stock image available directly from OP. And if you, for whatever reason, need to save and apply the OTAs manually, there's also a thread here at XDA with links to it. And who can you trust if not our beloved XDA forum.

Firstly, don't try to restrict who can post in threads.
Secondly, rooting is NOT needed to use widgets.
Finally, there are NOT different widgets specifically for the X10a, as the X10i and X10a have just about the same hardware and software on them.

haha i knew it. good to see you got your phone rooted eventually gupta. all you had to do was ask nice (and use another profile)
My Nexus 5 suddenly shut off and never was able to get it back on, I tried just about everything. Luckily, I was able to get a replacement from Google. Now, I am wondering if there is a way to recover some of my files if the phone does not turn on and if so, how?

Difficulty aside, that would void warranty too.
We should all agree though that without specialist skills, Knowledge and technology, the answer is no. Basically if someone had all that, they wouldn't be asking the question

Like I said most users won't attempt it. To say the answer is no is false. There is a way it's just very technical. I gave the info and the OP can do with it as he pleases. I have no idea of the OP's skill level nor would I assume everyone asking the question is incapable of such a thing. To say we should all agree is pretty arrogant. It's a big forum and we all should have our own ideas about what info we chose to convey.
I do see your point, I just don't agree with it. Knowledge is power or so they say. You've got a lot of knowledge and I respect you for that. I have some as well. Well I'm just saying the answer to anyone who ASKS the question is no. Because if they had the tools and skill set to do it, they wouldn't need to ask and if they need to ask, they haven't got the tools or skill set to do it, so I don't think "no" is false. Going by your logic, the answer to almost every question couldn't be "no".
Examples:
- Is it possible to un-brick a bricked device?
- Is it possible to run 4.3 on my N5
- Is it possible to unlock LTE bands
- Is it possible to get T-mobile WiFi Calling?
- Is it possible to get Voice on Verizon
That said, it's actually not been proven on the N5 so far as I am aware either.

If I could do it and thought others couldn't because I was "better" than them, sure that's arrogance. Also if I assumed that because I couldn't do it, they couldn't either - that too would be arrogant. But that is not the case here. The work is very specialist. To do means you are that specialist. A data recovery specialist doesn't come to XDA and ask "wannabes" such as us how to recover data. That's not a sweeping generalisation either. It is logic.

Based on comments John Wu has made on Twitter it is doable, but is going to require major changes to Magisk. I believe he is going to wait for the final release before he starts.

Not happening. Look at the Verizon thread. A nice guy gave it his all and a few people tried basic stuff. Never buy from a carrier again.

Looks like you were answering the question of rooting Q with the lack of Verizon unlockable bootloader as your example with the "never buy from a carrier" comment when nobody claimed in this thread that they did buy from a carrier. Q is rooted, and that appears to be the reason for the "chewing on those words" comment. If your original comment was just to say that Verizon wouldn't get BL unlocked... wrong thread.
I hate this app. It sucks, big time. You would think Android developers, when removing support for something that worked well would have given us something of better quality. Not stopped support and given us this mess. Why can't I just jump to the newest post? Why do I need to navigate the entire thread? Ugh

For those feedback there's a thread in the About xda-developers section. And they didn't removed support, it's because the forum moved to Xenforo, so it doesn't work the way it used to internally. Tapatalk would need an update to work, and rn this isn't a priority.
Now I know, the new app is mostly a webview app and stuff, but since it's the only one that works rn I'll take it, especially when this app has a good notification system (XDA Labs never notified me).
If you're still not to a fan of this app, the mobile website work well too
