Not a big surprise since these have been supported for a while now, but I can confirm that VOLTE and WFC do work on Tmobile. See attachments.
Nice, I gotta get a new SIM. For whatever reason it refuses to work, but if I put in the SIM from the other phone on my account it works.

MetroPCS volte and Wi-Fi calling works here also.

I read some threads some droids it can be done to I didn't see any for the Ultra. Can it be done? I know its unlocked international but not US I guess not sure. Verizon says it not but I know they don't want me to leave their high prices. I know I got a global setting in the mobile networks settings. I was told if I used straight talk all I have would be talk and text which it be ok for now but I guess I can change the APN setting give me 3G now with the Sim card it a nano or mirco chip? I want to make sure I can do this...if I have no data it ok I got WiFi everywhere I go... Please help with this I'm new at this I'm learning lol...any info I would really appreciate it. Thank you..

I'm running a stock 4.2.2 Maxx from Verizon, which is essentially the same phone as the Ultra, and it works fine with my Straight Talk SIM, no modification required (no LTE though of course). Every 4G LTE phone Verizon sells now is actually required by law to be GSM unlocked, including for carriers in the US, and I know multiple reviewers online have confirmed it works on AT&T as well

I went AT&T today bought pre pay $60 and nano Sim card it worked. Thank u so much...people u can use AT&T network on the Droid Ultra have 3G.....it great....Verizon try to tell me the phone wasn't unlocked but my buddy here told me it was it worked....XDA U ROCK!!!

You can bring the ultra over, I am on my ultra now and on at&t H+ I had a little problem with MMS at first but its working now

And just to reconfirm, you DO 1) Live in the U.S. and 2) Are using the U11 on T-Mobile's network? and 3) Is your phone unlocked?!! Please type the word "unlocked" in your reply so I know you saw this last minute addition.

BTW, T-mobile Visual Voicemail works great on unlocked U11 too. Even comes with free 30 days of voicemail to text service (automatically activated and automatically terminated at end of trial, no subscription required).

That's cool. Yeah I use that app as well, though didn't subscribe for vm to text. Much easier than calling to listen to your VMs.

It's not clear to me in the specs if I can use two different Sims with two different carriers in this phone. It seems that that works in the international version, but I want to make sure it works in the US version as well. Thanks again for any assistance.

I have no clue. I would start a new thread and ask that question though. I still have my HTC 10. I decided not to upgrade to the U11, but wanted to know whether or not HTC was "cheaping out" on the U.S. or not. It was nice to find out they didn't. :good::victory:

Ok sounds good.
Well I CAN tell you that when a manufacturer certifies their phones for VoLTE with T-Mobile, that certification also INCLUDES Wi-Fi Calling. This was the case with my UNLOCKED HTC 10, as you can see confirmed here.
So now it's just about finding out your SIM thing I guess. lol

Yeah I don't think it's available in all countries, unfortunately. If the phone works for you though, then that's really all that matters. VoLTE is just a bonus for the most part.

Interesting I am on cricket and I don't see these settings
So im in need of replacing my htc droid dna cause its having issues with the battery
And my service is freedompop which works on the dna and last i herd the 6x will too?
It seems like the 6x will be great for me cause it seems like it will handle gaming really good which i mostly do on my phones lol..
And seems too be good with custom roms etc which is a plus!
And its 50$ off on bestbuy and bhp early black friday. i wonder if it will go any cheaper around the real black Friday even tho i doubt it.
I've recently ordered this phone and have a FreedomPop LTE sim. When it arrives I will let you know whether or not it works, but I'm sure it would since the phone works on ATT and Tmobile, which are the carriers FP's LTE sims use.

Yep freedom pop works perfect with it just need too add the apn settings. I have the global sim so my speeds isn't perfect, But going too order the lte sim soon.

The beta app works well for me. I've had to use the beta version for a while, even on my old phone... There's a button on the app's Play Store page that lets you join the beta. Tap it and wait a few minutes and it should give you the option to update.

I have the unlocked version which says it works with Verizon but I can't seem to call or text. 4g data works fine though.
EDIT: Everything works now, calling, data, sms, and mms.

I know this is an old thread but as it pertains to service on Verizon does VOLTE work on the 12+ (specifically the unlocked 128gb variant) and does the phone support CDMA, as I heard there was an issue with the U11 in this regard?
I am itching to ditch Samsung and get back to my HTC roots but I don't want t a phone missing VOLTE or being that I am in KY, and travel to rural areas extensively, one that may not have service for extended periods.

Phone does support VoLTE but the phone does lack CDMA, so if 3g is crucial to you, I'd skip this phone for now.

If i buy the 1+7 pro from their website, which i think is unlocked version, will it support wifi calling on tmobile network in US?
I understand tmobile has their own version, but based on their website review, it has tons of junk software preloaded and don't know why they removed the original screen protector, also locked bootloader, so im not too interested in that version....
I work in an area where there's basically no signal, so wifi calling is a must for me...now using a sony xz premium international version, basically can not make phone calls with it.

As long as you don't use a private DNS, it'll work. It's always worked on every OnePlus phone I've come in contact with.

Can you help explain this to me? I have the GSM Unlocked version.
Since yesterday I had the banner at the top showing VoLTE.
I wondered why it didn't show VoWifi while connected to my home network.
I literally did nothing except log into my T-Mobile account through my browser and the banner in my status bar switched to VoWifi, so I was like, oh cool!
But now, minutes later, the banner is gone altogether.
No VoLTE.
No VoWifi.
*Edit*
And now VoWifi is back
There's setting to enable these two in SIM card setting, a little hard to find...
That's the only thing I can think of, as mine as came enabled when received. Both work

I'm curious about LTE bands since you are on T-mobile in USA.
Can you confirm the phone support of bands 66 / 71 ? I've seen international specs that say the phone does and does not support these bands.
