So far I am really liking this watch. The only real disappointment is the 15 second video limit. There are 4GB of storage! 15 seconds is virtually useless. I understand they probably did that because of the bluetooth transfer to the phone. I would rather have the ability to record more video and have to get it over usb
I completely agree. Should be 45 seconds, minimum. Hopefully when the devs get more into tizen we can find a q way around it. That and the shutter sound. I can't stand that. I get it, privacy, but there should still be a way to silence it if in quiet mode. These are 2 of my biggest gripes thus far. Hope we can fix em.

I am a photographer by trade. I have been using Zero Camera Mod for a while now but I am looking to increase the shutter speed to 30s as opposed to the current max of 10s. I don't know how to start though. I think it is possible since it can be done on the S5 and LG G4.
Is there anyone here who can point me to the right direction?
Hi guys, I am new to the forum. Its good to be here.
So, I just installed camera fv 5 lite and the problem is that the shutter speed goes to a maximum of 1/11 secs. I was reading another guys tutorial and his one plusone could go to 64 seconds! He mite have had the paid version but still even in the light version it shouldn't be this low! I am confused why this is happening!
Please can someone give me a fix for this especially those of you familiar with camera fv 5. Or another app that allows to set exposure, shutter speed etc which works on xperia xz. Hope some of you guys can help me out.
Have a great day.
I've tried several 3rd party camera apps, even paid versions, including the paid version of FV-5 and none of them would offer a slower shutter speed than 1/10 second. I believe that is the slowest that Sony surfaces through the api to other apps.
Also none of the other apps allow any higher resolution than 8MP.
Lastly, I couldn't get FV-5 to even work on my XZ. I could take a couple of photos then the app appears to lock up. The circle in the center keeps spinning like it can't obtain focus.

Thanks for your reply, Fred! That is sad news though. I also tried several 3rd party apps (bought one too) but as you said, the shutter speed does not go below 1/10s. I wonder if you can root your device and fiddle around to change it from there or is it more of a hardware issue (kind of a noob when it comes to these things). The thing is I was reading an article where this guy used his OnePlus One to take epic milky way pictures just using his phone, fv 5 and a tripod. His phone and fv 5 allowed him a 64 second shutter speed! The results were unbelievable. I though to myself an Xperia XZ with such a great camera would do wonders but apparently not
BTW Fred, the issue you told me regarding fv 5 (spinning), it happened to me too but I think I just was not keeping the phone steady. When I kept the phone steady it would circle around, turn green, and take the picture (but I have a feeling your problem might be different). Just trying to help you out.
Thanks again man.
I hope there is some fix/hack out there that can reduce the shutter speed to at least 30-40 seconds. Samsung S7 has a 10 second shutter speed!

I'm not sure if there will be a way to get a very long shutter speed. The Sony camera app jas a max of only 1 sec., which, to me, is still very fast. Other phones that i have allow up to about 30 secs max shutter speed.
I should add that the problem i observed with FV-5 only occurs when I take the app out of auto mode, specifically go to shutter priority. Happens even in strong sunlight. I just downloaded and tried it agaik, since i got the android 7.1.1 update last night. Same problem, no change

Camera fv 5 is the worst for manual control for Sony devices in my opinion. I Advice snap camera hdr. There you can use manual controls at full resolution and some extra things. But shutter speed same.

Thank you for your reply! I will download the app you suggested. I just wish there was some way the shutter speed can be reduced!
Thanks again man. Really appreciate it!

I think there isn't a mode for now. But, this app is really complete. You must active camera2 api to have everything

Yeah, I activated it. It seems like a good app. Thanks for the suggestion again!
Hi Community,
is there any way to unlimit the 4k recording limit of 10 minutes?
i know the sensor/phone can be getting hot, but i just want to know if this is software releated or not.
any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Use a 3rd party camera app.
Thanks, but I want to know the way how to mod stock camera. Tried lots of 3rs party cams, I didn't like one of them.
I don't think there is but strangely enough on QHD I no longer have a limit. I was at Disney last week recording lots of video using various modes and I noticed when I used QHD it wasn't limited anymore. I don't know what I did or how it happened but I don't think it's supposed to be that way. I distinctly remember the limit being there when I first got to Disney and like the 2nd day in it was gone. 4k and 1080p 60fps still have the limit though. Wish I knew what I did so I could remove it from those modes too. My phone actually did overheat in QHD after about 5 minutes when I was recording a parade in the hot sunlight and I had to wait about 5 minutes before it would start again. I recorded a 33 minute video in QHD without stopping indoors though.
hello guys i finally got my mi 10 ultra... amazing phone, amazing camera and all but i am very disappointed by one thing...i was really excited to try 960 fps slow motion video and i sadly discovered that they are capped to 3 seconds recording (10 seconds final output) and this make them basically useless... who wants to record just 3 seconds slow motion? can anybody tell me why is this happening? somebody told me because frames are stored in ram and so limit amount can fit (in a 12gb ram phone.. really??) is there any workaround or any way (like magisk module) to remove this crap? thanks
Check out the thread over at xiaomi.eu, I tried to explain there, why it's like that.
TL;DR: for unlimited, hardware-based 960 fps slow motion recording, the camera sensor would need an embedded DRAM to help process the data.

I feel like the 960fps is just interpolating new frames from the 240fps anyway, you can see some interpolation glitches in some frames.
