Help much appreciated for this frustrating problem - please.
Since on Oreo (LeeDroid ROM; stock or CleanSlate kernels; DUGL) my U11 vibrates a single brief (1-2 secs) duration only during any incoming call - the screen continues to show incoming call correctly meantime. What should happen is continuous vibrations (default pattern) during the incoming call attempt. I miss a lot of calls as a result when phone in Vibration Mode.
Other vibration functions are fine (SMS, notification alerts, touchscreen vibrations etc).
I don't use/ need DND so don't use any of it's features.
I have checked my Sound & Notification settings several times and I cannot figure out a solution.
- Vibration option under "sound profile" is there & selectable.
- "Also vibrate for calls" on/ off does not make a difference to this problem
- Power/ battery saver options are turned off
- There are no directly relevant ROM or kernel tweak options I can toggle
- Stock or Custom ringtone does not resolve my issue
Any help or suggestion with this problem please?
I'm still struggling with this issue.
Is it possible for somebody (whose Vibration Mode/ profile works fine) to attach the following folder & its contents for me to compare please (whilst your U11 is in Vibration Mode):
sys/devices/virtual/timed_output/vibrator/
Anybody able to help........?:crying::crying::crying:

Hey, its a common problem.
Here's the hotfix
http://www.htc.com/asia/SupportDownload.aspx?p_id=249&cat=0&dl_id=592
this hotfix can not fix the problem if you use Cooked ROMs!
See this thread :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=529527&page=3
The Hotfix also doesn't activate vibration for messages when screen is in sleep mode and Vibrate profile is selected..
I have original ROM. Is there something that is 100% good?
I tried to install hotfix from htc website, but it doesn't work
i tried the hotfix, but with erratic result even in original rom.
so i finally settle to this:-
Set the DisableSMSWakeUpEvent to 0. You can find it in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL .
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL]
"DisableSMSWakeUpEvent"=dword:00000000
When my td2 in is sleep mode, when sms comes in, it wakes up and sounds.
If you don't want your device to wake up every time a new sms arrives, there is another fix that will increase the time the device has to notify you about the sms, before going in suspendend mode again.
Change the registry values below to 10
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\Timeouts\BattResumingSuspendTimeout
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power\Timeou ts\ACResumingSuspendTimeout
Do a soft reset, or switch off and back on the phone, and you should be set..
Hi!
My phone does not vibrate when I have an incoming call. It's set to vibrate in the settings menu (actually, you can't even turn this feature off), and it vibrates normally for incoming sms, for reminder, or anything else.
I've been also searching the registry for some settings, but couldn't find any that are related to this feature.
Also, this error occurs only when my phone is set to loud mode - when it's set to vibrate only, there's no problem. (it should vibrate in all circumstances - it did, but now for cca. 1 month, I'm having this problem)
I have a Samsung Omnia and Windows Mobile 6.1 OS.
Help please?
Thanks
Vibrate is no longer working on incoming calls, messaging, nor on haptic feedback. Does anybody know why, and how to get it to work?
Note It worked when I first got the phone.
I have tried checking vibrate in all of the following places:
1) haptic feedback
2) sounds & display ( check vibrate, tried check/uncheck silent mode)
3) messaging settings
4) notification bar
Even after reboot.
Stock Rom.
Haptic feedback- Check not only that it is enabled but that you have the intensity set up as well.
Calls/Messaging- Do you have service showing? Is your Sim card in properly? More info on what exactly is going on. If those are good you might need to take the phone to Tmob and see if something is up.
That was it - the vibrate feedback intensity was down.
Thanks! It's like a maze.
Hi, after upgrading to Nougat (my phone uses an almost Vanilla Android), I can't set the WhatsApp notifications the way I've had them forever. In the past, no matter what mode was selected (sound, vibration or muted), when I received a message, the LED would turn on green, no sound, no vibration.
Now in Nougat, if the WhatsApp tone is set to "silence" (inside WhatsApp options), the LED won't work. Period.
1. If I select sound mode AND set WhatsApp tone to any sound: the LED works, but the phone also vibrates and sounds. VERY inconvenient.
2. If I select vibrate mode AND set WhatsApp tone to any sound: the LED works, but the phone also vibrates, equally inconvenient.
In all cases, the option "vibrate" in the WhatsApp options is OFF, but this option seems to be totally ignored.
Is this WhatsApp fault?
That means this happen to all of you as well.
Is this my phone's company fault?
That means this only happens to me because it's a bug of my ROM.
If I go to Android settings, Notifications and select the option "receive silent" notifications in WhatsApp, it is like selecting tone "silent" in WhatsApp, no LED, no sound, no vibration.
I'm quite pissed off of the new notification management of Nougat, it's so confuse and it was way simpler before.
Hi there,
on my 4a (Android 12 and last patch) if I use the bell icon (via side keys) to toggle from ring only to vibrate only and then back again, it will both ring AND vibrate (instead it should only sound without vibrating) unless I drill down to the vibration settings menu and disable it there.
It's this a bug? have you noticed it too?
Thank you
