Stock Android P Developer Preview on Oneplus 6 - OnePlus 6 Questions & Answers

Hello XDA,
Do you know if it's possible that the stock (or pixel) version of Android P Developer Preview will be ported on the Oneplus 6 in the future thanks to Project Treble ?
I'm a bit disappointed by the Oxygen Android P version even if I know that it's still in development and Oneplus will make an awesome work on it with the next versions.

I know that an Android P version is already available on the Oneplus website but it's really different from the pixel one.
You can check the "Oneplus Android P Developer Preview version" there :

A lot of features are not implemented or buggy, it's very different from the Pixel or Essential Phone version of the Android P Developer Preview. So that's why I'm asking if it's possible, in the future, to see on our Oneplus 6 the "real" version.

No, it's the X21.
Treble is supported but A+B partition is not supported, about future updates there is no official statement for that from Vivo, they are pretty good at updating fun os and security patches but not so much about android version. Only reasons I decided to not buy this phone cause of ****ty os. Such a shame for a brilliant hardware.
Is there a possibility to unlock the boot loader and install oxygen OS of one plus 6?
It supports treble, just not seamlessly

Z5 firmware question

can i find stock android or pure android compatible for z5 dual , also i d like to upgrade its os to android 8 or 9 , thank you in advance
Use Xperiafirm in Flashtool. Android 8.1 maybe, 9 is future wishful thinking. Use Google or XDA Search ...
As far as I know, Sony will not provide Oreo for their Z5 Series

Sony has taken support from this device. 8.1 or later will not come.
It's too early to talk to the developer.

Android 10 on Mix Mix 3 International

Hi,
it's already 2 months I think since I've read that Android 10 (MIUI 11) started rolling on Mi Mix 3 but nothing yet ... I don't understand, I'm confusing things ?
Is there an Android 10 ROM for Mi Mix 3 International version ?
Thanks !
Yes. https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/20-1-16-21-v3.54300/
This is the latest build with a January secpatch. The 9/12 version is better, imo.
MIUI 11 doesnt mean that base is Android 10. Currently latest global stable is on Android 9 with MIUI 11, update to Android 10 should arrive soon.
And xiaomi.eu mentioned aboce is custom rom based on china dev
I've received 5 minutes ago!
Android 10 it's available ??
It's here :fingers-crossed:
For those who installed it already, give us some feedback.. and one question, should factory rested be done before or after installing update? What is better, because i never did reset before, just apply update, but now would like to do reset also..
Got it... ?? Runs great... for now ?.
Anyone can capture the link please?

Is it possible to update Android version?

Dear XDA Community,
Sorry, this is probably a newbie question, but is it possible to update Android version when running a custom ROM such as Pixel Experience? To be more specific, I am still running MIUI on my Pocophone F1 and I am looking to flash something different soon, but I have noticed that there is a Beta version out for PE to be run on Android 11. The question is how do I upgrade if I am running Android 10 and the developers have not yet sent an update out? Who knows whether there will be an option to upgrade to Android 11 if Pocophone X2 is their priority now. Thank you in advance.
Hello mate,
Hopefully I have read your question correctly.
If a custom ROM is released for Android 11 you won't need the official system to be 11 first as the ROM itself will be built from/based on 11 so it will update your system accordingly when flashed.
Example, Nexus 5x ended official support on Android 8 but custom ROM builds took it to 9 and now 10.
As long as you follow the flashing instructions supplied by the ROM of choice you should be golden.
Hope that makes sense
