In the market for a new phone and I have a Bluetooth question - OnePlus 6 Questions & Answers

Hi all, I'm in the market for a new phone, though, that's not what I want to ask. I'm interested in the Bluetooth functionality.
What I'd like to know is for all you One Plus 6 owners out there - Are you able to have multiple bluetooth audio+phone devices connected at the same time, just like the S8+? And I'm not talking about dual audio.
Can the 1+6 do that? Can someone test it please?
To elaborate on the question. I have the leeco le pro 3 and normally have my Bluetooth headset on everyday. When I jump in my car, the phone connects to the Bluetooth car which is expected, however, the phone completely disconnects the Bluetooth headset. I can only have one or the other connected at a time, unless I manually change Bluetooth profiles each time. I tested out a friends galaxy s8+ and was able to have both Bluetooth devices connected at the same time, and "hot swap" between the 2. I'm not sure if this is the result of Apt X technology, android OS version or even the mfr's ROM config.
See this discussion with someone here for further clarification:

I have an old phone that doesn't allow 2 of the same type (phone/audio) Bluetooth profile streams to be connected at the same time. I know that most phones can't stream to 2 at the same time, but I want them to at least stay connected so I can hot swap.
Below is how my Bluetooth looks when I connect to 2 devices of the same channel. I can't have both phone and audio on both bluetooth devices *connected* at the same time.

yes, oneplus supports that

Do you have one? Can you try it and take a screenshot? Thank you!

Control RC Toys with Windows Mobile

Hi All,
Many phones nowdays have a builtin FM radio transmiter, my phone doesn't, so I connected a regular FM Transmiter to the headphone jack of my phone and I am able to transmit frequenices to a radio receiver.. In general I am able to listen music from my phone player on to another FM radio receiver.
My question..:
Is it possible to built a software/application that can control a RC toy (like a RC car/truck/helicopter) using the FM transmiter (Internal or external).
I am not a developer or electronic engineer, but as per my understanding the RC toys work on FM transmission.. i.e. FM signals received by the RC toys receiver transmited from the remote control..
If we can make a application that can help transmit certain frequencies out of the receiver it would be great fun... after all hi-end phones nowdays are toys..
Moved as not software release.
Is it possible...?
What you propose makes sense but the fm transmiters in devices are not very powerfull. They are more intended for short range use within an automobile. Saw a video before where guy used his n900 to control mini helecopter but he had to stay within a couple of feet to maintain control. Then there is THIS which uses wifi and is pretty damn cool. On my winmo device I use remote desktop to control my train layout in the backyard through a host computer in the house on my network.

Backyard.
And yes I'm a dork and a nerd. Just to avoid any criticism. But bring it on anyway...
good day.
Wow, your train setup looks good...!!
and that AR.Drone for iPhone is also amazing..!!
Hope we get something for our windows mobile withour the need of Remote Desktop..

Gear S 3 and Bluetooth Headphone - Dual Call audio Issue

I have a issue with pairing my gears S3 and Skul Candy Bluetooth headphones to OP 6. When i pairing both, the Bluetooth headphones connected as only for media. No phone calls available through the Bluetooth headphones.
If I receive a call its hearing from gear s3. In that mode i can make calls from gears3 and its work correctly. But not my Bluetooth headphones.
If i give priority to Bluetooth headphones i can hearing media and calls from Bluetooth headphones but gear s 3 wont work correctly. From gear s3 cant make a call and atleast answer the incoming call. Its only shows cancell the call button. And wont work map navigation too in that mode. I have attached a picture for easy reference. Guys pls help me to fix this issue.
Thanks

I think that's normal. If I connect my gear S3, my bluetooth speaker is media only. The same on my HTC u11.

its irritating while using both gear s3 and Bluetooth headphones with OP6. I have chat with OP support and they dint give me a proper solution. I cant use both Bluetooth devices at the same time with full functionalities with the OP.
Turn off phone calls for the S3, that's what I did so I can use earbuds instead for calls.

Android P and Bluetooth

Is it capable of connecting bluetooth to multiple phone+media devices?
I can't find a way to have both my headset and car stereo connected at the same time without changing the bluetooth profiles in settings. Samsung s8 can do this automatically/natively. both bluetooth devices show connected for phone and media audio.
I use a bluetooth headset on my oneplus 6 oreo version (trialing it) during working hours for calls and music.. when i get in my car, I sometimes make calls on my headset... but in between calls, I want to listen to music on my car stereo. That's fine.... IF i remove media audio bluetooth profile from my headset first...
But wait..... Sometimes I want to transfer the call from my headset to my car stereo, and/or vice versa. I don't want to change the Bluetooth profile manually every single time i want to use a different device which I have been having to do.
Pretty please can you try connect your 1+6 running android p to 2 devices that have phone and media capabilities and see if you can connect them both at the same time? If so... try and switch calls between the 2 without changing any settings in the bluetooth? Will you take a screenshot of the bluetooth settings page once they are connected too? I appreciate your time.
You cant connect to multiple devices at the same time, even when bt 5 supports it.
OnePlus has to implement this feature in theyre rom..
I know Samsung galaxy can do it....

but not sure why it's so hard for others to mimic this same "trick" that also can't be done using the OOS!!
p.s.: Just to be clear, I'm not talking about streaming a call or media to 2 devices simultaneously. I just mean for the system to connect to both and "hot swap."
By the way, this feature is now an option in Android p

How to see the devices that are connected to my hotspot in Android device?

So, I've been looking all over the internet for 2 years (approx.) from time to time for this query.
My device: I have a Motorola X(4) device which came with near stock Android.
My question: how can I see who is connected to my hotspot.
What have I tried so far: I see apps in playstore for scanning Wi-Fi and not what I want (which is to see devices connected to hotspot). I've search for web with no helpful answer, everyone seems to confuse about Wi-Fi scanner. I don't want a Wi-Fi scanner
In few answers I see people showing steps to do this, but I don't see the last option 'View Who is Connected' in my device. I have attached screenshots for reference.

Hi there,
Although motorola is close to stock Android, they have the annoying manner of removing very little, yet useful features like that. You're supposed to have a menu to see what device are connected, like me (I'm using OxygenOS, and even with their "overlay" they left the feature).
Unfortunately I don't know how to help you on this one. When I had a motorola (Moto E 2015 LTE) it didn't have the "enable wireless display" option for screen casting m. I've search a long time, and finally found out about that annoying manner motorola has. The solution was to modify one or two line in the build.prop file.
Hope you'll find out one day

GT-P3113 - Data Cable - Pinout/Wiring Diagram?

I have P3113 - Tab 7.0 Wifi/IR blaster. The cable that came with it (ebay) does not seem to support USB data connections. charges just fine. I bought another wire online (this was years ago) to no avail, still no data connection.
In comparing to the image here: https://pinoutguide.com/visual/gen/samsung_galaxy_tab.jpg (with pins being numbered 1 on the right and 30 on the left, I have pins:
3USB_DP_CON I/OUSB Data +4USB_DM_CON I/OUSB Data -
7V_BUS_1 P 8V_BUS_1 P
15Gnd P 16Gnd P
30Gnd P
Which seems like it should (?) work for data transfer with a computer. (make a lot more sense than the inverse)
I've looked around and have seen a lot of pintouts to modify things to support audio or whatever else, but does anyone know if the pinout I have is valid for USB data transfer? Is there something I can do to get the data connection working? Or do need to play some roulette with cable buying? (Any recommendations?)
I've popped the casing off the plug and it seems like wiring there should be mapped correctly, though it does look like it's cheap for sure, but there's no resistors or anything, wasn't sure if there needs to be for "standard" data usage.
Any thoughts would be great. I'm not looking to do much more as to hardware hacking right now, just getting it rooted and then more or less a simple controller.
