Hi,
I flash Android P for test and I want to downgrade to android 8.1. I do that before with my onplus 5T but I can't find special rollback firmware.
Do you know any method with fastboot or other tool?
Thank you

Just opt out of BETA program, and you should see the 8.1 update up on your phone.
Make sure you take a backup as it will again erase the internal memory.
Thank you for your answer.
How to desactivate beta program?
Download this rollback zip. But backup your data first! This will wipe your device.

Thread about Android P and rollback you can find here. There is also the instruction to rollback.

Are you rooted? If you are, you can back up with Titanium Backup. Make sure to copy the backup to a server or local computer so that you can copy it back to the phone after you roll back. Then, you can use it to selectively reinstall whichever apps you want, with or without data.

Yeah, I had hoped there was an easier way. I guess it will have to do.

Hi everyone, please help me I read so much post on xda and I don't know how to re lock or lock the bootloader and back from android 7.0 to 6.0. The only modifications I do to my honor 8 FRD-L04 C567 B360 is I unlocked the bootloader and installed via fastboot TWRP 3.0.2 but this version can't flash only read function is operating. So I flash via fastboot the original recovery for my version extracted from the full package of android 6 MM. So I tried to install the full firmware via dload method but the system tell me is that not the correct version to my phone and I'm sure is the correct version. I still do not re lock the bootloader because I read that some people had a brick left after the re lock process. I need to sell my phone because of I need to pay debts. Please help me to restore my phone as new.

Look up FRD-L04 Rollback package
Get that, extract to dload folder, flash
After that is done, put full package in dload folder, flash
Sent from my FRD-L04 using XDA-Developers Legacy app
This is for all the process or just for back from android 7 to android 6?

Yes my friend, but first off all, I do the rollback 75 MB aproximelity via dload method, next to do that I have to re lock the bootloader via fastboot with the unlock code. And to finish, I install the full software of Android marshmallow via dload method (make sure that the software is in the micro SD, not in the intern memory) 3.70 GB aproximelity. My phone was like new.
Awesome
Great to hear! I managed to work out my issue with mine! I appreciate your response!
Just passing by, this is the wrong forum to post to. Here is everything related to development, not Q&A. Flagging this thread. Sorry.
Hi guys,
I bought the "new" Moto X Style last week for 250€(new, white, 32gb) and updated it to the highest Android 6.0 version from Motorola. After that, i flash the OTA-file from:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-style/general/ota-moto-x-style-android-7-0-nougat-t3630248
After that, i unlock the bootloader, flash TRWP, clean the data and create a System backup:
https://xda.bioharz.xyz/2017-07-15--06-20-47_NPH25.200-15.7z
This is unmodified! and unrootedI actually have no time to create a System image, but this should also work for you.
I hope this can help you.
Thanks,

Probably failing SafetyNet API check but what is the error?
Nougat will fail if the bootloader is unlocked and you don't have the Magisk module to stop SafetyNet. In Nougat an unlocked bootloader is enough to get it to fail even if otherwise 100% stock.
Netflix could also be confused as to your region if you restored the backup in this thread.

Extract the backup zip file. Copy the last folder (containing the boot and system images) to your phone's TWRP Backup folder. Now you will see it in TWRP. Now perform a full backup. Then restore the copied-over nougat backup. Now you can pick on of the following two options.
1. f you have time, you do not need to delete your data before rebooting. You can always uninstall and reinstall any problem apps that show up after rebooting. That is what I did.
2. Of course, if you are in a hurry, you can delete your data and then reboot. That would be called a "clean install" and I don't do that very often.
Hope this helps.
@bioharz
Cheers for this. I was contemplating what method might be easiest for upgrading my rooted Moto X Style (EU) from MM 6.01 to Nougat 7.0. Ideally, this would have been a TWRP flashable ZIP, however, you have provided the second best option, which is a TWRP backup.
My method was as follows:
1) Make full TWRP backup of existing MM installation to extSD
2) Backup my Nova settings to extSD
3) Download, unzip and copy your backup to the TWRP location on extSD
4) Boot into TWRP and wipe Dalvik/ART, Cache, System and Data partitions via Advanced Wipe menu
5) Flash System and Boot partitions from your Nougat backup, BUT NOT EFS partition !!!
6) Reboot, log onto previous Google Account and restore all apps.
7) Restore Nova settings
8) Root with SuperSU (systemless) and SuHide
Worked a treat :good:
Are you sure - you need nougat with old radios?
You could reflash stock MM, update to Nougat, root, restore all you want. @Yemble
Will it work on moto x style Indian variant?

I am certain that I do not wish to screw up my phone with someone elses IMEI. Besides, what exactly is wrong with the MM radios? They are working perfectly on my phone.
Actually, given that I am now in a good position to experiment further, I have flashed the Nougat EFS partition on its own to my phone. Thankfully, it did not affect the IMEI or any network connectivity (SIM or WiFi). However, it has not changed the base band version either, so it may, in fact, be identical to the MM EFS anyway!

Take a TWRP backup first, then give it a go. What have you got to lose?
I suggest that you try it without the EFS partition first. If that works, take another TWRP backup and then try flashing EFS on its own.
@coolncoolest @Yemble
Don't flash/restore EFS from another phone - you can lose your IMEI.
India - RetAsia version has the same baseband as RetEu - cid7.
Dual sim probably will not work.

Clearly you are wrong about this (on this particular phone model), as I have already tried it and it proved that it did not break, or change, anything! I am aware that flashing EFS can be dangerous on older Samsung phones, hence my cautious approach that you appeared to be dissing in your previous post
I believe in hard facts, rather then hearsay. I have now upgraded three XT1572 (EU) phones from the posted TWRP image using the method that I outlined previously, together with the later flashing of the EFS partition. All three phones work perfectly and all three pass SafetyNet.
Someone else may be less fortunate than you and there is no reason to flash/restore efs.
Not only Samsung can lost imei in this way - Lenovo(+tablets), other Moto series, all Mtk devices(there is easy way to restore imei).
For Moto I don't know any restoring procedure. Sorry - one - mainboard replacement. @Yemble

Reasons for me are:
No xposed framework on EMUI 8, so no track control using volume keys and other tweaks I had before
Missing new Honor/Android security updates while we wait for official release
TWRP for EMUI 8 not loading all partitions, so not possible to do a full backup
I've tried to use the dload method, but erecovery for EMUI 5 won't flash as it is a different layout
TWRP is no good, as it can't mount the data partition

I used hurupdater to downgrade from 8 to 7. Also, you can use HWOTA. Both methods are not guaranteed if you make a mistake along the way (it can brick your phone or end up with a frp lock - there are always ways to fix those issues though).
Works perfectly, thank you.
Used hurupdater, copied EMUI 5 zip files to SD card, along with hur zip file.
Into TWRP, and installed hur zip file.
Reboot, with inevitable bootloop, so went into stock recovery and did a Reset.
Then booted fine and with adb installed TWRP, Magisk and Xposed again.

See if you can flash this from settings. It used to allow you to downgrade from Pie Beta. I'm not sure if it will work for Pie Official. You will most likely lose your data if you successfully flash this. So backup your stuff even before attempting this.
Or you can use the unbrick method to completely reflash your phone to 5.1.5 using MsmDownload Tool.

Download the 5.1.11 fastboot rom. Extract it. Open the folder you extracted and run flash-all-partitions-fastboot.bat
You see some things that look like errors but they aren't!! You have to have patients and just wait!!! When it completed it will say press any key. Then unplug phone and boot. You'll be on latest 8.1

If you're unlocked, flash it trough TWRP and format your storage.
If you're not, on a Sticky thread somewhere on this forum, you can get a rollback build (it's an Oreo build, the latest if i remember correctly, it's clearly called "rollback")
Edit : it's on this page : https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-6/how-to/oneplus-6-mirrors-official-oxygen-os-t3792244
What issues are you all having with 9? I was on the BETA build when I first got the phone and had several issues.. but after downgrading to the recent stable build.. I haven't really had any issues..
Hello there,
I tried the open beta on the OnePlus 7pro for a while, but I have some massive issues with speaker distortion, so I decided to go back to stock. I know this involves a wipe of the entire system, and I have fully prepared that.
However: I seem to be to stupid to perform this. I used to flash all kinds of roms to my OP3 back in the day, but I can't find an option for simply flashing the zip in the recovery.
My big big question is: How do I perform the full reflash of this phone?
Do I get an factory rom like with the pixel, or do I need to sideload something and flash it in recovery?
I am really clueless rightnow, expecially since the factory image told me, that the bootloader is locked, but to my unterstandig, flashing an original manufacturer image should not require the bootloader to be unlocked...
So I am really hoping on your help, as rightnow, I have a beta phone that is waiting to be setup...
:crying:

Or easier way would be to download rollback package from oneplus which will wipe everything on your phone. You will have os9.5.3
You can then do Ota upgrade to latest os version. Rollback package is listed in in the middle of the post

So my OnePlus 7 Pro is rooted, has twrp, xxx ROM and renovate ice. If I want to go back stock and relock bootloader, can I simply flash the latest ROM (in this way I should loose twrp and root) and then relock bootloader with ADB command?

Local upgrade is a cake walk! All my worry was, if I go for a random version msm tool, which is not specific to 10.3.4(more like the case of fast boot Roms), i may stuck at bootloop/something undesirable.
From your reply, i understand, i can use any msm tool zip that supports one plus 7 pro, and get back to stock with an older oos version in it. From there i can choose OTA upgrade or local upgrade.. Whichever way? Right ?

Yes I used 9.3.4 and then did local update but if you are on 9.3.4 you have to flash first 10.0.3 and then after that 10.3.4 to upgrade.
