Hello dear members ,
Recently ı bought pixel 2 from seller , but there are some issue on my head :
1 . The phone comes out of box android 8.1 ?
2. When checking phone imei it only shows model , brand and imei not other basic informations ?
Does someone faced with these problems ?
When you say you bought it "from a seller" do you mean a private individual or a company, new or used? It doesn't tell us anything really. But 8.1 has been out for a very long time, so at some point you would expect them to come with 8.1.
The screen that shows the IMEI shows only that. Other screens show other information. Without knowing what you are missing it's hard to say whether there is anything unusual.

Can you tell us what shop you are referring to (what store or website in particular)?
It seems that your screenshot was not posted. Could you tell us where you are looking for the phone information (for example, Settings, System, 'About phone')?

It's legit. I bought two from T-Mobile directly from their website.
Both says Made In China.
oh really?so why some people got phones who was made in taiwan?

Because HTC is a Taiwanese company.
Apple is a USA company in California, all their products are Made In China... so all Apple products are fake?
If you bought your Sensation at a legitimate place and it's Made In China it's fine.
Unless you have other suspicions, your phone is legit.
ok thanks more comments please just wanna be sure ;o

WHY!?!?!??! Seriously.
If there is nothing that makes you think it's fake other than "Made In China"..... why do you think it's still fake. sheesh.
You know what, nevermind, I just thought about it more, everything Made In China is fake. Everything. Have fun.
You could give HTC in your country a call, they will be able to tell you if your phone is legit based on the IMEI or serial number under the battery.
P.S. I don't think it will be fake unless its slows have a crap screen and two sim card slots or you brought it for $100.

You can calm down as well.
Since I stopped laughing from earlier, I'll tell ya my S4G is also made in China and I've verified with HTC that it's legit. By verify, I mean they looked up my serial number and sent me a new back cover. Can't get more official than that.
This S4G was purchased directly from Tmo.
Do you feel better now?

Palsu itu mas ..
Totally fake app ..
for now, there is no such thing as bbm on android yet. even the greatest developer among us can never make something like that. it is because bbm is using its own server. so if we want that to happen, google must buy the server or share it with the rim or anything like that. its like the 2 company working together. we will never know when this is going to happen or maybe won't happen at all because all of this are the inside job. all that we can do is just pray that rim will agree to share this feature and make everyone happy :victory:
btw, if you google bbm on androids, there will be a list of sites where offer this feature. believe me that all of these sites are FAKE. it will take you up to another survey site which will cost you your airtime and giving you fake apps back. believe me.
H Guys and Gals,
Have just purchased a used XT1068 from ebay for my wife . Must say that it is one sexy piece of hardware (TBH I'm thinking about keeping it for myself and giving her my Sony Z3C hehe), unfortunately it has arrived with a pin code lock. Before I contact the seller (am pretty sure that he/she must be selling the device because he/she doesn't know the code) can anybody advise how I can get around the problem? Presumably I can just flash a new ROM?
edit: I understand that this might sound dodgy, so have attached a screenshot as proof of purchase
Many thanks :good:

Yep, imo these sort of threads should not be answered, anyone stealing a phone could come here and get it reset
There are the odd one or two where you can tell the OP genuinely has a problem with their own phone, but threads such as this look very suspicious

Sorry but we don't know that for sure
If you have a problem with a phone you bought, return it / contact seller
Saying you don't know the seller makes it even more suspicious
You could have purchased a locked phone. Take it to SKT dealership, tell tgem you purchased it seconds hand (used), and they will contact the original owner to make sure it wasnt stolen.

Hi,
What´s the modelnumber of your phone? Do you mean T-mobile in the US? We need a little bit more info to help.
I think the Chinese S8 is the Exynos version, which means that it´s missing certain freqencies for the USA. So you could use it in the US, but you would have worse networkreception.

Thanks for responding!
Model number is simply the Chinese one, G550. It doesn't use the Exynos, at least it doesn't say that on GSMARENA. Yes I mean TMobile in the US. I guess that should be fine; I asked in other places and people have told me the bands match up. I'm kind of a noob, but I don't think the technical parts are the problem, I just need like the US version of android so I can get Google play services.

OK, it uses the same Hardware as the US Model, that´s good. Maybe this thread will help you: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/how-to/snap-guide-flashing-standard-fw-carrier-t3625817
I didn´t read the whole thread, maybe somebody had the same question already.
By the way: Your modelnumber should either be: "SM-G9550" or "SM-G9558". A G550 is a whole different Phone

Well, I don´t know if that really matters. I suggest you ask the OP of that thread about your problem.
BTW: Isn´t it possible to install the Play Store on your device? Then you could use most google services.
EDIT: I just stumbled upon this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=74014241&postcount=294 This user seams to have the same model as you do and he/her managed to at least install magisk, so you schould send him a message and ask him/her what to do
