Is huawei p20 supports dlna to share videos and pictures. Because i cant find how.
I'd like to know too.
Streaming to MITV doesn't work for me, however it does work using my GF's P20 Pro.
Is there a way of activating the feature?

Hello all,
I have chromecast, but only Youtube works when I use my Xperia Z to cast to chromecast, other apps like the chromecast app (the one used to set up) itself and avia (I paid for chromecast support) do not work and neither of them is capable of discovering my chroemcast. Although Chromecast app can detect the device (the chromecast) only when setting it up, after that, it fails to detect.
The funny thing is that my Nexus 7 can always detect it and I can cast to the chromecast with avia or any app. without any problem when using N7. Did you guys face the same issue and were able to fix it?
What devices I have tried so far to test and was able to cast ONLY with Youtube:
Xperia Z
Xperia Z1
Galaxy S3
Nexus 5
What devices I have tried so far to test and was able to cast with ANY supported app:
Nexus 7 (2012)
Galaxy tab 8"
From this I can say that I have no network/router issues, but chromecast/software issue, and I ask if you know or have found a solution for this? Why do you think only tablets can freely cast to the chromecast?
The chromecast is in stock ROM, latest update (I cant remember the version, I am at work now). The router is HUAWEI 5172, with AP disabled.
Thanks in Advance
Hello folks let me start by saying Im not a coder I do however like to tinker. I have manged to get a nice custom Android TV rom installed on my MXQ pro 4K I found on Freaktab by cOOlio. It works work great very close to my Xiaomi Mi Box (US) with the exception to the fact that I am unable to get the Android TV version of Netflix to work. I first assumed it was a certification problem so I changed the build prop to emulate the Mi box but no dice so now I'm almost positive it has to be the widevine or lack there of in the rom. cOOlio has moved on to other projects and no longer gives support so I thought I would try to add the Widevine myself. Is it possible to copy and paste files from the Mi Box with ES File Explorer and if so what files do I need to add or substitute to the MXQ pro box? If this isn't possible is there an easy method to add the Widevine without having to get into advanced coding?
...from a Huawei p40 pro to a Chromebook. I can transfer photos using a USB cable but it's clumsy and time consuming. Can someone give me a protocol for moving photos from the p40 pro to Google Photos on the chromebook that is faster than two photos a minute and requires only one transfer.
Can you install Huawei share on the chromebook ??
Apparently not.
Hi
I have a P40 pro running on normal HMS. I tried to screen cast it on my Philips TV running on android with inbuild chromecast.
My phone could not find my TV. I have checked all the settings and it is as it should be. It works normal with my old P20 pro (of course on a GMS).
So I couldnot use the "wireless projection" or mirror my screen on my TV.
I have also tried third party apps but they often come with a lot of bugs and bad cast quality.
Interestingly though, in youtube vanced the option of linking to TV works and it could cast as normal. But I want to cast other applications as well through mirroring the screen.
Does anyone know a solution for this?
Thank you in advance

I would like to know how to share the pixel screen with a smartTV or wireless monitor without the need to use a chromecast.
Doesn't show up as video input when using an HDMI/USB C cable.
Any method or solution for this?
With root it is possible?
Thanks
For screen mirroring there's really no solution. Google gimps the phone in ways that are iphone like. One option you could try is do a hard reset of the phone and then trade it in for a Samsung. That tends to work.
It's sad. $100 smartphones can do it with no problem. Google's strategy at this point does not seem correct to me.
Screencast works fine, except the crappy resolution

Google removed miracast when they released Marshmallow so what's that, 6 or 7 years ago. Anything Android that has been able to do use it since then has been implemented by the manufacturer so you are stuck with Chromecast or DIAL if you want decent quality.
I project what i stream or play from my pixel to my tv via dlna. I use the app Web Video Cast | Browser to TV.
