Hi all. ...I'm having an issue with my AT&T Note 8 since the other day when it applied the April security update. Since the update, my home screen wallpaper no longer rotates to the landscape position. It's strange in that the icons do rotate.........BTW,I'm using the Apex launcher but I also tried the Nova launcher with the same outcome.
Any help would be appreciated. ....
P.S. Mods feel free to move this to the proper place if this isn't it ........LOL

Thanks for posting this. I have the same issue on Sprint since the April security update. I thought I had bumped a setting somewhere or something. It's been driving me nuts. Although I have no fix, at least I know it's not just me
I've contacted Apex and Nova.... we'll see what they say and I'll update....?

I think that's the same than before
Seems a bit faster to me also there is fewer errors with detecting fingerprint. But still slower than my Honor 9 was.

This update came with some bad surprises for me. I have nova launcher and after update I had to set it back as default launcher were a new popup was asking me to provide a lock screen password to set a third-party launcher! Try to remove later on the lock screen pass but a message again warns that will be reverted to the default launcher...! What is the reason of this issue that created I cannot think.. I am very disappointed and frustrated! Any suggestions would be great.. Thanks

So far so good.
Update was successful.
The double tap to wake causing the screen waking issue seems to be addressed. Let's see.

April 1st patch
The newest today's update is only 173.4MB, but what's in it? I don't see any specific descriptions beside the security patch.
Now, what about that ASD4 update(in OP post above, 244.55MB) I've never gotten that one in the US, they mention camera software improvements in there, am I still gonna get it? All the different regions create lots of confusion.

Fido shows the emui 11 update as being released yesterday but I haven't gotten it yet. I tried erecovery but it shows I'm on the latest (.175). Has anyone actually gotten the update yet, other than beta testers?
Yes. Middle East (C185)

From what I've read this isn't even accurate. It goes by model. I have tried every vpn location and it still says up to date.
Honestly I don't know why people want to be to the first on getting major updates. It's much better to wait and see which problems arise when others update their phone

I don't really consider this being first, beta has been out for 6 months or so now? This has been rolling out to some countries since december as well.

That doesn't mean you can't get into troubles after the upgrade. In fact, my phone received EMUI 11 yesterday, without doing any tricks to get it, and now I have a problem, the upgrade enabled VoLTE by default and the option to disable it is not longer available on the settings...
I finally got it today
Anybody feel shorter battery time on emui11? I updated yesterday and everything looks very smooth but battery seen shorter than usual
I got it a few days ago (Italy)
For one terrible discovery: when using gesture navigation, you can now have one-handed mode only with emui launcher.
With Emui 10 you had to swipe diagonally from one bottom corner of the screen. With Emui 11 you instead have to swipe horizontally on the bottom edge of the screen and keep pressed, but this gesture only works with stock launcher.
Stupid
I didn't really notice any other true change, so this update for me was worse than worthless, is it possible to downgrade?

You can downgrade to 10.1 by hisuite losing personal data
Did you notice any battery fast drain? I notice this on 2 p30. I'm from Italy too
Much longer with 10.1

I didn't, but in the last few weeks I've been using my phone as a wireless hotspot so it's either plugged in for charging or fastly discharging due to high 4G traffic
Btw, thanks for the tip about downgrading. I'm not very keen to reinstalling and reconfiguring everything, so I'll see how much this missing feature bugs me before going down that road
So I have this weird scrolling issue, like the one on this video:
Can someone please test if their phone does the same? I will replace the phone if this turns out to be a hardware fault. Thanks!
Hi,
I have the same issue on my OP9. But if I hadn't seen this video, I would never have known there was such a problem. Like in your video, problem exists only in stock launcher.

Alright, thank you! Yes it is a minor issue, but still quite annoying (at least for me and my way of using the device). Hopefully they will fix as it soon, as it seems to be happening only on the base non-pro 9 model.
First thing i do is install NOVA launcher. So never noticed an issue.

This happenes throughout the device, regardless of the launcher used. Can you please try replicating the steps as shown in the video?
I did didn't notice any problem. But reading the previous post said only occurred in stock launcher which i uninstalled
I've lowered my animations to 0.25 with joneplus tool so that may make a difference as well

Okay, that's weird. Maybe I'm just too sensitive but scrolling feels off to me because of this.
Also, are you using the preinstalled screen protector?
Nope, didn't come with one. Got phone from t-mobile this time. Using one from Amazon forget which brand

Thanks for all the info so far! Just one more thing, could you please test it again, but keep your finger still for at least a second before flicking.
I am really sorry to bother you with this, but I am going to replace the phone, if yours turns out to be ok. I'm just paranoid that you might have missed it because it's so subtle.
In Nova the app drawer is side to side, but no issue there and in trying up and down in couple apps no issue . Even tested keyboard and virtually instant response using exact same keys from video. P0qla no delay at all

Alright, something is wrong with mine then... Or maybe the T-mobile version of the phone doesn't have this bug, since it uses a slightly different software.
Yeah could be. Maybe t-mobile turned down the touch rejection.
After updating to march security patch my fingerprint unlock has an awful delay, wondering if anyone else have the same issue and if there us any known fix.
Already tried removing and re registering the fingerprints,no luck.

Yep same here. If I wake the screen first it's fine (ie as before the update), but now it takes maybe a second to display the screen. Someone posted on Reddit too, but nothing on the issue tracker- hope this can be fixed
I guess i will wait a few days, hopefully the issue get fixed, dont really feel like doing yet another factory reset
Same is happening here.
Anyone else notice the new animation when exiting out of an app? it sucks lol.
Seems like turning AOD on is fixing the delay. Not perfect but works
Same slow here
Also have the same problem too. Wish I didn't install the update now
Yeah, same problem on pixel 4a 5g.
Same here, also my battery life is bad and I'm not heavy user. I have 6h sot.
Did a clean install, and still a delay.

Funny you should mention that. I got tired of the lag today and flashed back to Lineage 18.1.

Same thing on aprils update , how annoying. It really ruining the feel of the phone.Google really need to step up for bug patching and broken updates
Still the same issue with the build of May ... also, the alarm clock icon is still missing in the notification bar when an alarm has been set. That kinda sucks ...
