Hi, I am wanting, or would like to use my TF to record video/audio from a analog source (RCA jacks) I saw hdmi to rca converters but it looks like I will have to get something else to record video.
thanks for the reply
I don't think android supports HDMI in not many devices besides monitors actually do. You might want to try an rca/usb adapter but again it is doubtful it would work as android does not support many external devices
Best wired bet would be -->
miniHDMI OUT-->HDMI 2 RCA (very expensive adapter :[ ) ---> Record via RCA
Or get a digital hdmi recorder. New dvd players support this I believe.
What exactly do you need to do?
Do Micro USB to USB/HDMI adapters exist? Basically, an OTG cable with an HDMI split, as well. Please recommend a good one if you know of one that works.
I don't know of any myself because I haven't used them, but I believe they do exist. I remember reading about them before. though you'd need your device to support it.
EDIT
I looked it up, and it's not exactly HDMI output (which some devices do have), but they do have adapters for micro USB to HDMI - look up MHL
I asked that in general troubleshooting.
Note4 has a mhl 3.0 allowing it to output 4k resolution to 4k hdtvs. For now just content taken with it like photos and recorded video.
Ok, ive tested a generic mhl 2.0 and it didn't work (the mhl drive needs power to abs from the note4 so you have to have the 5pin to 11 pin adaptor on top of the mhl drive) but!
An oem samsung one (usually white) works out of the box. Retail 40 dollars on samaungs w3bsire. Amazon i think 35 dollars. Again the this on3 only works with the power cord to the drive.
But!! If you are lucky to have a samsung smart dock from the note2 it works for the note4. (When the note4 came out first staples was clearing out the shelves of the note2 docks users reported as a working wired dock to hdmi screen mirroring.)
Woreless? Chromecast...most miracast devices. And the new roku stick hdmi version work

...and according to gsmarena.com the Note 4 supports MHL 3.0 - technically up to 4k resolution, but I've not tried this.
e: I've just bought one of these:

Yup, works a treat.
Does anyone know if there's a USB-C HDMI adapter that has been confirmed to work on the Le Pro 3?
I can confirm that it is not working using the USB C to HDMI adapter from Google it might be a software lock but I have found no mention of HDMI only wireless display
I ordered one from Amazon. Should be here today. Let you know how it goes.
this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZW80DT8/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Anything, enserio?
Doesn't the Pro 3 use MHL? So a USB-C MHL dock with HDMI /DisplayPort output may work - but does such a thing exist?
Whit custom roms dont work this adapter, i buy it.

Any update on this?
Hi,
Si there any feedback about compatible HDMI/VGA adapters please ?
Hy, have You tested a cable usb to HDMI for X720?
I bought an MHL adapter and can confirm it doesn't work. I'm running LOS16.
Someone successfully connected HDMI?
Pro3 does not support MHL adapters. So you won't find any.
You need a device with something like a DisplayLink chip to get it working.
I've custom rom on my oneplus 7 pro.. it does not MHL (wired HDMI casting) anyone help
Hello!
HDMI Output is possible on this phone?
Ive bought one Usb-c to HDMI converter but its doesnt work.
Somewhere i read that if i get a usb 2.0 to 3.0 converter it would be possible.
Installing two different apps, One says that it support mhl, other says it doesnt.
Thanks
Unfortunately no. Xiaomi does not support mhl.
So there's no way to capture video from the device via capture card?
Not what you're asking for, but I mirrored it fine with an Amazon Fire HDMI stick to my TV. It was a bit touch and go, until I changed my wifi connection to 5GHz. Maybe you could do some HDMI wiggling to get the data?
Cheers
Steve
